Ane'irna hated this. All the training in the Jedi Temple could not have prepared her for a battle this big, with so many people dying on all sides. The girl could feel death in the Force, something she had never felt before. Anxiety threatened to take over her body as she violently shook upon seeing a Republic soldier in front of her falling to the ground, never to get up again. She always imagined war to be somewhat...calmer, not a huge meat grinder. So many young lives lost, and for what? Forcing herself to turn her gaze from the dead soldier, the girl repeated the Jedi Code in her mind. This usually helped her to calm down, though with the chaos happening all over the place, she found it hard to focus. Taking deep breaths and closing her eyes, she attempted to purge her fears and negative emotions once again, just like Master Ru taught her. She remembered meditating in the forest on Tython and imagined herself being there, peace filling her mind. One final exhale and the teenage Padawan opened her eyes, determined not to lose her mind in this slaughter. The soldiers around her depended on her, trusted the girl much younger and inexperienced to guide them to victory. Her Jedi apparel looked out of place, and she knew she was putting her fellow Republic soldiers into unnecessary danger because of it. The heavy armor would have greatly limited her flexibility though, meaning she had to take the risk.
Seeing @[member="Iella E`ron"] move, Ane'irna decided to follow the Jedi Master and offer any help she could. Remaining stationary for the rest of the battle wouldn't help anyone anyway, so the girl rose and nodded at her men, then launched herself into the battlefield. Running first with the group of soldiers following her, she attempted to deflect all blaster bolts flying in their direction, though ultimately she found it hard to protect just her own body. Her Shii-Cho deflected several shots and sent them in all directions, though none of them hit their owners. It did not matter, the young Padawan continued advancing towards the enemy soldiers shooting at them. The Force alarmed her of one of her soldiers getting killed somewhere behind, giving her determination to save the rest of her men. Getting closer to the attackers, Ane'irna ducked and rolled towards the first man, swinging her lightsaber horizontally and performing Sai tok on him. She hated to do this, but she had to save her soldiers and form zero was out of option. The second soldier did not have time to react as she stabbed him to his throat and went to fight more enemies that switched to melee in hopes of killing the Padawan. Once all of them lied either dead or disarmed, the Padawan continued in her way towards her fellow Jedi. Many lives had been claimed by her hand today, but she did not want to think about it now.
"Master E`ron! Padawan Ane'irna reporting." She said as she finally reached the Jedi Master, her soldiers providing covering fire. The green skinned Twi'lek was confused, this was her first battle, and she needed some directions.
