HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Veer Mattox, a Warbreed Arkanian who had revolted against his masters, purchased the Company’s ship from a scrapyard on Ferrix. He recruited for, and ran the mercenary company from the ship, which he named ‘Gorskin’ for the famed giant sea turtle of Dorumaa. The ship and company passed to his son Xac Mattox and then on to Zac’s son Box Mattox, who commands it today.
The mercenary company is largely successful and has a reputation for doing what they are paid to do. There are about 300 personnel total within the company. Although the company is headquartered on a ship, they do sometimes make arrangements with various nation states to put training and recruitment facilities at a fixed location, often in exchange for protection or some manner of service.
