Battletech/Mechwarrior Thread

I'm probably going to start a new thread set in the Battletech/Mechwarrior universe. Battletech has always been my first passion before Star Wars. I don't have details, like Clan or Inner Sphere, but I want to write some Mech on Mech action.

So, if there's interest, post here. If not, I'll just do a solo thread.

I always stuck to a support Mech like a Catapault or a heavy Aerospace Fighter.

Then again... Who doesn't love an Atlas.

Masakari with twin Clan PPCs was my bae.

Any suggestions for plot? Clan Invasion? Jihad era? Inner Sphere merc unit? Clan unit fighting the Blakists?

Ghost Bear purge of the Blakists from their country? That could prove an interesting story.

Play WoB and just run around... being all terrorristy and making kasplosions and such.

Playing as the Blakists is certainly an interesting idea. But I don't know if I can bring myself to RP as those people. They are way too crazy.

But yeah, I've always found the Succession Wars the most interesting period. Lots of potential with the Free Worlds League.

MechWarrior is p. cool. I never had the exposure to get into it, but a friend once asked me to join them on a board for it. It was a lot of fun, although all I could figure out was that Hatchetman was pretty strong for its weight class...

Okay, so for those of you interested, what era? Succession Wars? Ckan Invasion? Twilight of the Clans? FedCom Civil War? Jihad? Something else?

I've preferred the Armored Core series myself, particularly 4 and For Answers. I'd love to see a few mech rps with this. The boost system and the setting I loved the best.
