Aye, I like the idea of just after Operation Revival and the Truce of Tukkyiad. As Larraq said, it gives lots of opportunities to do most anything, and allows IS and Clan characters more leeway to interact.

I'm for it.

So will the focus be on character interaction and personal conflict + Political/military objectives with and against other humans... Or will it be about a string of combat missions for several Mech Pilots?

I know I'm going with a freeborn MechWarrior granddaughter of one of the Clan Diamond Shark Ov'Khans who has virtually went rogue at a very early age to become a mercenary in order to reclaim the glory of the former Clan Sea Fox from Clan Snow Raven and the Wolves. I figured I'd even go with a little backstory about how she gained repute in local clan territories as "Wilcott the Demon" and "Wilcott the Fox," lending to the idea that she'd be an arena mercenary/combatant almost worthy of Bloodname (if not for being a renegade... and freeborn). Clan Sea Fox are majority Spacers too.

I like the idea of focusing on character interaction, with action as appropriate.

We can make the setting 3055 to allow more mixing of Clan and Inner Sphere.

We're probably going to have to come up with brand new characters because it sounds like our existing characters won't mesh at all.

Actually, it's pretty much a straight rip of Aynea, minus being an alien and a kitsune, lol.

One's history does not need to be a reflection for their personality - who they are by nature - to be the same.

Edit: But yeah, most people probably aren't using their existing character as a model.

I don't know. My muse is on its last legs right now. I hear the flatline coming soon. Not even Clan medicine can save it.
