Bay of Tears

The black tee visor swung to study the man. He appeared to be at the brink. Not the sort of person Mertaal was keen on dealing with right now.

However, she had her contract and terms.

[ His name is publically viewable.] she told him frankly, slapping a mobile hover unit onto the frozen body of the Sith Lord.

[ It is a public bounty. Finding the contractor wouldn't be hard.]

A lift of her wrist and Skye activated the slave circuits of the Shadow Phoenix. Within minutes it would arrive over the Manor to pick her up.

"Or you could just tell me since you're standing here and already know." There was no reason to be difficult really.

If Val had to get in her way, then he would.

The option was not a good one given that she'd already done what he couldn't do and fought a Sith Lord...but well she'd already used a couple tricks and he thought that he had least had a pretty good chance. At the end of the day he was still quite a large man and the Sith Lord had been...well frail. He looked at the figure frozen in carbonite, a weary glance checking to see if he was actually frozen or not.

"Look." He tried being reasonable again, remembering Ryssa's face. "I'm being reasonable here."

He didn't add that he would happily kill her if it meant getting answers.

@Valkyrien Aurelios

"Varona Ka." fine, simple answer for the man. A level stare was given at the man so he would move out of the way.

It was a simple choice really. Either he got out of the way, or the Hunter shot him down with enough stun bolts for him to crash onto the floor unconcious.

It had been a long day and her patience was already wearing thin.

"Okay." At least it was an answer instead of a vague notion of 'there's a bounty and I have to bring him in'. That was more than he had before, but in reality it wasn't much. Val barely knew how to operated a holo-terminal and he felt like going on Hoogle and trying to find this...person would likely lead him nowhere quick. This was a lead that he couldn't quite let go of just yet, and although he meant the woman no harm Val just couldn't shut up.

"Where can I find..." He trailed off. "Varoona Kaaa."

He mispronounced the name horribly.

Val wasn't ignorant or anything, but...well core names were weird.

[ Empress Teta. ]

Deep core world, former One Sith territory now under the Galactic Alliance. Well, that was going to be a doozy of a ride.

The roar of engines grew in the distance, even with the storm raging overhead. Mertaal stood, waiting for him to stand down and move to the side.

Patience wasn't one of her greater virtues, but the guy seemed to be on the edge of his rope.

Empress Teta.

Right.

Where was that? Val really wasn't sure. He could have sworn that he'd heard of that world before, but...well he wasn't quite sure. He frowned slightly, looking down at the bounty hunter. A part of him still wanted to fight her still wanted to take the Sith Lord and just throw him into the nearest magma pit...but eventually whatever good part of him remained won over. For now at least the Sith Lord was subdued, and that meant for a little while at least both he and Ryssa were safe.

"Alright." Next step, head to Empress Teta. "Off you go."

He stepped aside and waved his arm.

Val would let her have her prize. He knew very well how ornery Bounty Hunters could get, he'd met plenty of them in the Outer Rim. It was better just to let her have her way and track down the Sith Lord later, he wouldn't harm anyone while in carbonite.

A curt nod was the reply.

The Bounty hunter took her meal ticket, ushering it along so that the frozen Sith Lord would float in front of her. Mertaal didn't keep her gaze off of Valkyrien. She'd be a fool to turn her back on a stranger. Much the less one who had been so adamant about killing her target.

But he let her have her prize. It wasn't long before the Hunter took the Sith up to be delivered to the Force containtment cell she had in her ship.

After all, she had a bounty to claim.
