Been a very long time...

She took the distraction as a sign and nodded in agreement,"I am guessing I have missed quite a lot since I went into exile...as to expect." her purple eyes once more looked onto this stranger, feeling a tad bit more comfortable with his presence,"Suppose I should introduce myself then, to the one who woke me from my slumber."

Taking a breath to compose her mind, she began,"I am Cear'bhaill Nyrax, Jedi Master and Matriarch of House Nyrax." she spoke with all the noble grace she could muster,"Thank you, Dax, for finding me and waking me."

"Nice to meet you Ms. Cear." Dax said, offering the woman hand up. "C'mon. Lets get some food." The Rogue Master led the ancient Jedi to his vessel, a mirror image of her own ship, albeit, a bit more tidy.. The warm lights washed over everything, casting a homely glow through the interior.

In the kitchen, Dax set a pot of water to boil on the stove and put a glass o water in front of the woman. "So, what do you wanna know?"

The walk through her battered vessel was solemn. She did take a detour at one point to retrieve some personal items before continuing on. Though Cear stopped, placing a hand on the bulkhead before passing onto his ship.

Settling in in galley, she pondered all the questions she could ask about,"I honestly do not know where to begin."

"Uhm...lets start simple I guess." Dax said, pulling a bag of grains out of a cabinet. "What am I cooking?" the Rogue plopped the bag down in front of the fair haired woman. "Rice. Best go light for your first meal...my droids aren't too good at cleaning messes up." He poured out roughly a cup of rice and poured it into the now boiling water behind himself before lowering the heat and placing the lid atop it. The Master closed up the bag and placed it back in the cabinet and propped himself up with his elbows on the counter across from [member="Cear'bhaill"].

The move brought an amused smile to the woman's face, admiring the attempt at breaking the ice so to say. It was cute, and it kind of worked.

She giggled softly,"That was pretty good." she wrapped herself up in a cloak for a bit of warmth,"Well, the last thing I can remember, the Eternal Empire had been defeated, an alliance in its place, and the Sith Empire and the Republic were gearing up for renewed conflict. I wanted nothing to do with it and went into exile."

A heavy sigh escaped her upon thinking of the decision she made,"I knew I was leaving those I cared for behind, but I could not face another galaxy in conflict."

Dax took in a deep breath and let it out. Heavy stuff. "Well, can't say we're much better off." Dax told the woman. "Jedi and Sith go at more than ever now. Maybe a year ago the One Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic fell, only for the First Order and Galactic Alliance to take their spots and start another war." The man rocked back and forth on his heels, looking at the plain counter top. "Last big conflict was Kaeshana." he went on. "That was messy...a lot of good people on both sides died."

"Sounds all too familiar. The Galactic War took many friends. Then when the Eternal Empire invaded, I lost my husband and almost lost our daughter...it was, horrific..." she huddled in her cloak tighter, looking at the counter top as well with sullen eyes.

Dax looked at the woman with concern. He wondered if she'd realized yet that all the people she knew were long gone by now. He didn't bring it up. "Yeah, well. That's life." he muttered. "Thankfully we both missed the time period where there was like, only one Jedi left."

"So remember the Battle of Yavin I mentioned earlier?" the Rogue said, turning around to stir the pot of rice. "The first world killer was destroyed then. Also, we only had one Jedi in existance. Two Soth as well. But they ruled the galaxy at the time." He turned back around, "Those were called the Dark Times, with good reason."

"Wow...no one could have foreseen that coming...at least in my time." her head shook, still barely believing what she was hearing, but it made sense.

With some of the darker parts of history covered, she figured it was time to ask a more serious question,"So, if I were to tell you I went into exile twenty-eight years after the Treaty of Coruscant, how long could you tell me I was asleep?"

The Rogue thought back to his history lessons, doing head math all the while. "Treaty of Coruscant was circa thiry six fifty-somethin...take it back twenty eight years so thirty six twenty two...roughly fourthousand seventy two years." he surmised. "Which officially makes you older than any government still standing..."

The woman nearly fainted upon hearing the staggering numbers thrown at her. How could she have lasted that long? How could she have slept for so long? It was dizzying to think about all the events she missed, willingly.

"Four-thousand..." she choked as the next words left her mouth,"Sa'adra, my little girl..."

Dax looked down, unsure of how to comfort the woman. Eventually deciding it was best for her to just have a moment to herself he turned around and tended to the rice, nearing its readiness. He strained the remaining liquid into the sink and put the grains into two bowls and got a couple sauces from the fridge. Sweet and Sour or Soy. He put the bowl before the woman with a spoon and silently waited.

The sadness immediately subsided when her eyes spotted the bowl of rice. Apparently she was hungry, and dove right into the dish, forgetting her all manners and etiquette. Normally an act like this would embarrass her. But she didn't give it a passing though, not having eaten anything in forty-five hundred years.

Daxwatched the woman with amusement before drizzling his own rice with some soy sauce.. He ate silently and, when the woman finished her bowl, filled it again, "Guess that's what four millenia with nothing to eat will do to ya huh?" he joked.

A blush spread across her cheeks and threatened her ears at how she acted, but it really couldn't be helped could it?

"E-Excuse my behavior...and...thank you for the food Dax." Cear shyly offered.

Dax waved away the apology and the thanks, "Don't mention it." he said. "Alright, so I've got a question for you." he moved the rice around aimlessly in his bowl before finally scooping some on the spoon, "How, and why, did you end up in that cryopod?" Dax hoped that whatever the answer was it wouldn't jar too many bad memories or anything like that. But curiosity tended to best the man, and there had to have been some sort of story behind it all.

The question got the woman thinking, as she played with the few remaining rice grains in her bowl. Her purple irises looked taken back, in thought, of a time in the past.

She gently placed her utensil down beside the bowl,"I had originally left the Alliance and the Republic to stay out of the brewing war. It was inevitable. It was just my droid and I, going about the Galaxy. But somewhere along the trip, a bounty had been placed on my head, to find me alive." Cear closed her eyes, focusing on bringing a single grain of rice above it,"My droid convinced me to go into cryo-sleep to avoid detection. Sounded like a good idea...and it apparently worked...extremely well."

"He never woke you up?" Dax asked as he put the last spoonful of rice into his mouth and then the bowls into the sink. He covered his mouth, food still in it, as he spoke again, "Why was a bounty on you at all? You're a Jedi, not a criminal." Dax understood that even Jedi had the occasional bounty on their heads. But even in cold wars, Sith putting a bounty on a Jedi? Would've been a bad move the man figured...
