The Spirit has been specially painted to blind pilots that come close to it. Think of it as when you look at snow in the winter time. You want to look away fast. Looking away can cause crashes, which betters my chances at winning. A ray shield allows a temporary shield from blaster fire, but as a counter it last two minutes and takes five to recharge. Emp sticky grenades are used to shutdown the podracer mid flight, again bettering my winning chance.
