The Benthic Submersible is the flagship offering of the small subsidiary of Starchaser Enterprises, Depthfinder. The Benthic is a mobile research lab with individual lab options for geology, hydrology, and marine biology. Designed in conjunction with a team of Mon Cala from Next Depth Designs, the Benthic was first manufactured on Naboo and Mon Cala, and soon expanded to Corellia, Chandrilla, and Kattada.
Designed for use with three full teams of crew and running two full research labs, the Benthic has been sold to explorers, long term scouts, and research universities. Designed to keep a team underwater for several weeks, the Benthic does need to resupply, undergo maintenance, and provide teams with surface time regularly.
