Bestine

"Jedi? I met one of those once. Though they're not too common around here, we're mostly a peaceful planet anyway." he said. Excluding the multiple sieges and civil wars they'd had. Ethan nodded, curious about this man and his origins, it was all so exciting, any traveller had a far more exciting life than he could ever imagine. "I'm sorry that happened." he said, looking down.

Ethan sighed and looked out at the ocean which was clearly visible from almost every point of the island. "So you're one of those force users?" he asked.

Esther Matumaini, in black capris, purple flats, and a purple t-shirt, walked quickly passed the garden, stopped, doubled back, and gave an exasperated sigh, storming up behind her brother, yelling out loud, "There you are! Do you have any idea how long I've been looking for you? I've been worried sick!"

She paused for two seconds to glance at the man behind her twin before continuing, "And who is this? I demand a full explanation!" Esther huffed and crossed her arms, awaiting said explanation.

"No need to apologize. The past cannot be altered so there is no reason to worry about what happens in it but only to l-" His eyes drew to the side as a new voice sounded and he smiled while his brow rose. His hands curled up and were clasped behind him before he gave her a bow and spoke again. "I must apologize, Solan Charr, a pleasure to meet you. I assume you and he know eachother?" He blinked and looked at Ethan, not knowing of their connection and just thinking it was a friend or something. It was curious though, he had been about to tell him of the force when she had appeared. Curious indeed.

"Esther." he sighed, not often being one to argue with his sister. "I'm sorry, you can't expect me to stay in the palace all the time. It gets sooo boring, I want to talk to people." he groaned. "This is-" he paused as Solan introduced himself and stuck his tongue out at his sister.

"Yes, we do. This is my sister, Esther." he said as he gave his sister a look, which could only mean words were being said later. He always bugged her to go out more despite knowing the dangers.

Esther's mood softened, and understand spread across her face. She hugged real quickly before looking up at him, "It's okay, just leave me a note or take me with you, next time. If something had happened to you like our brother..." She cut off, leaving the rest hanging in the air. She turned to [member="Solan Charr"] with a curious expression, "The pleasure is all mine. Now, what were you two talking about?"

"A number of things including some advice for the young prince. I must say your brother is an intriguing individual. I was just about to explain what the force is to your brother, you know, that space magic the Jedi and Sith love to flaunt around like they are all powerful gods and what not." He smiled as he looked at the two together and drew his brow up a bit. Something about the two of them intrigued him... what about these two was so interesting that he had to think on them more deeply than others he had met. Were it that they were simply royalty?

Esther rolled her eyes, "I don't want to be rude, but I know what a Jedi is, Mr. Charr. This dipstick would to," She five-starred Ethan for emphasis, "If he listened to our tutor instead of starting off into space." She smiled as of what they were talking about was a joking matter.

"I know what it is, I just don't know what they do." he said grumpily.

Ethan glared at his sister out of a warning rather than out of anger. He slid back down onto the bench and folded his arms, sulking. He knew it would be no good arguing with Esther, not here anyway, he often just gave in.

"My apologies, i didn't mean to make it sound like you did not know what the Jedi were. Its simply that the force is harder to describe than the users of it... But im rambling. You are his... older sister?" He asked curiously, seeing the difference in the two of them immediately as he smiled. "I don't mean to intrude, its just that your brother has been more than an interesting individual and i am sure you are just as curious a person to talk to."

Esther laughed and patted Ethan on the back "Cheer up, Ethan. I don't really know either. " When the man called her Ethan's older sister, she chuckled, "I can see why you would think that, but Ethan's fifteen minutes older. I just have more interest in politics and history than he does."

[member="Solan Charr"] [member="Ethan Matumaini"]

Ethan smiled a little and looked up at Solan, was he really that interesting? Sometimes people couldn't even tell they were related at all.

He looked up at Esther and stood up when she patted his back. "I don't see why you're coming out here if you're just going to imply that I'm stupid." he said to his sister, suddenly in a bad mood.

"Ive always wondered what sibling squabbles looked like." He smiled and leaned back as he sat down, watching them both with interest and humor into their combative tones. It was too him music to see them in such a... teasing state. False hostility between Siblings is something he treasured to watch due to his inability to have experienced it for himself. "Do continue if this is important. I can gladly wait for the two of you to talk."

"If you want to see a real argument, find Karasu, she's my youngest sister. This is nothing." he said sulkily as he pulled his knees up to his chest. Ethan had never had a real argument with Esther before that caused a long term fall out, but with the rising tensions in the palace, it probably wouldn't be long before that changed. "This isn't important, Esther just likes to think it is." he sighed.

He just sat there and smiled before he looked at Ethan pull his knees in closer and he tapped his leg. "Ethan, i was going to offer you something just a few minutes before, my words being trapped im my throat and then the timely arrival of your sister now allows me to offer you both something. I tend to travel among the galaxy, understanding the peoples and places as best i can. I would like to offer you that chance too Ethan, to travel and understand the other cultures and peoples around the universe. There is another reason, but that one is not confirmed as of yet so i cannot offer that part until i am sure."

Esther quieted, a little insulted, but seeing what her brother meant.

Esther took a small step back, "But, our main priorities lie with the tasks given to us by our father. I can't abandon him in the state he's been in."

Ethan stared at Solan in awe, he had always wanted to learn more about cultures since politics weren't exactly his thing. He then frowned and turned to Esther. "But Esther, please. We may never have this opportunity again." He pleaded.

"If i may put your sister's mind at ease. I do not plan to put your brother in any danger i cant get him out of safe and sound, and i can assure you that will will not venture into the places where some of the unsavory people populate like Nar'Shadaa. I merely wish to help your brother understand the peoples and cultures of the galaxy. I can also offer him and i suspect yourself training in something quite rare compared to the rest of the galaxy. IF you both wish to see the galaxy."

Esther looked into her twin brother's eyes, seeing the wanting, the yearning to see the worlds beyond the palace and Bestine, and looked away, a tear forming in her eye before she whipped back around, glaring at her brother.

"So, who will run the kingdom while its only male heir is away on dangerous missions with a stranger he just met? Who will protect you when that man can't protect you?! If you go I can't protect you anymore!" Esther's voice betrayed her feelings; she couldn't bear the thought of her brother running off on an adventure without her and getting himself injured or killed. She sat back down, the anger replaced with overwhelming confusion and saddness, and hung her head in her hands, the rough day chipping away at her resolve and confidence.

She listened to Solan as he tried to persuade her to let her go but she ignored him.

Ethan sighed and looked away, not looking at Esther as he spoke. "You are more than capable of running the kingdom. You'd do a far better job at it than me anyway." he said before finally looking back at his sister. He didn't have a lot of confidence in the actions he took, though they had never been wrong as of yet. "Besides we're too young, if we were deemed unfit then there would be a representative in our place until we were old enough."

"Esther." he said sympathetically. "I know you want to do what's best for me but I can look after myself, I don't need constant protection from you though I do appreciate it." Ethan put his hand on Esther's shoulder comfortingly.

Esther sighed heavily, defeated. Ethan had made some valid points, and he was older whether she liked it or not. She stood up and hugged him really tight, and spoke almost in a choked whisper.

"You really want to go, huh?"
