"You see, there are many different kinds of love. There's the love a mother feels for her children. There's the love that friends share. There's the love a king feels for his kingdom. And then, there's the love a boy feels for a girl and vice versa."
Morrigan looked down at their hands as she explained.
"When you truly experience love, it isn't an easy thing to explain. It's like.... You're angry and happy and sad and shocked all at once. You feel warmer than you've ever felt. So warm that even a snowstorm couldn't effect you. Your cheeks go red, and your heart starts to pound so hard and so fast that you feel like your chest is going to explode. You can't stop smiling or crying, or both. Everything you see is wonderful, no matter how ugly or disgusting it actually is. But the person you feel love for? They're like the sun. They're so beautiful and so perfect that it almost hurts to look at them. And you're so overwhelmed with joy and disbelief, because of all the people in the universe, they chose to be with you. When you're with them, time stops. No one else exists. It's just you, and them. You look at them, and you see everything that they love about you, too. They make you feel invincible. But most of all, you know that you'll never be alone again. You'd die for each other, you'd live for each other, you'd give up everything just to be together. And nothing will ever keep you apart. Not time, not distance, not even death. Nothing..."
Morrigan seemed distant for a minute. She blinked, and then looked back at Koby and grinned.
"That, Kobayashi, is love."
