Beyond Shadows

She snorted, a bell-like laugh exiting her throat. "Wow. If you weren't in mortal-danger right now I would snap a picture for spacebook. I think I would call it," finger tapped her lips thoughtfully. "Muscles meets flowers."

Her grin widened.

She drew her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. "Now it's your turn. You ask me. Truth or dare."

Jaxton smiled as the woman laughed, tapping her lips as she thought on what to do. Jaxton was busy taking the flowers out of his hair as she began to grin, curling around almost in a ball. As Jaxton's hand came towards Taheera's head she told him it was his turn, but didn't put him in one category or another.

"You're not gonna tell me one or the other?" Jaxton asked as he casually slid a flower into the chestnut hair that found it's place on the healer's head. "Well I guess I'll have to think of something." Jaxton said as his hand drifted around her hair for a moment before returning to himself.

"How's about this?" Jaxton said as his hand went up to his head, grabbing another flower from his now broken tiara. "Taheera Sollo, I dare you that next time I am out of Sith territory." Jaxton said as he brought the flower and stuck in his beard, if only to see how long it would stay there. "That you will show me your favorite restaurant and have a meal with me."

Twin chestnut-brows rose. "Oh, so you can future dare me, huh?" She tried not to get distracted by the thumping of the heart in her chest as his fingers brushed through her hair. She tried to rationalize why she shouldn't feel this way. Why she couldn't feel this way. She gnawed on her lower-lip, fingertips reaching up to steady the flower in her hair, securing it so it wouldn't fall out when she moved.

Then her hand drifted over to Jaxton's beard, eyes tilting from his gaze, past his lips to his blue hair. Scooching in closer, she steadied the flower he plucked in his beard so that too would stay, at least for now. "Okay," she said quietly as her eyes traveled back to connect with his. "I accept your dare. How do you feel about...gyros?"

Something stopped for a moment as the woman ran a finger through his beard. He wasn't quite sure if it was his mind couldn't read his body's signals or if his body just send any, but either way the ned result was the same. The next thing he knew there was a smile on his face as the woman accepted his dat- dare. Or perhaps it had already gotten there when she touched his beard. Beyond Shadows it had all happened so quickly, yet so slowly, and he couldn't figure the difference. Not that it mattered at this junction.

Gyros . . . Didn't Erbies have those at two for six dollars right now? He wanted to say they did, but at the same time he was hoping she wasn't trying to take him to Erbies. He was pretty sure the lady suggesting fast-food for a first date a polite let-down. Or perhaps it was a way of Taheera saying that she thought he was poor. Then again, Jaxton wasn't sure she was talking about Erbies. Best not to rush to conclusions.

"That would be wonderful. Does this place have sweet tea?" He asked, finding his hand wandering towards hers, passing through the grass.

"Oh, and, uhhhhhh. Truth."

"Probably. But I don't drink much of the stuff. Hope that's not a deal-breaker." She winked. Fingers reflexively curled around his as she felt them come closer. "Hmm. Truth." Her free hand fell away from his beard and tugged with the grass at their side.

"Describe a moment when you were the happiest."
