Birth Of Agomar

Connor Harrison

The sound of the voice surprised Connor, taking him off guard which he felt instantly was a big mistake, but he hadn't felt the body of whom the voice belonged to, and it sounded as if he already was part of the Shadows.

Standing up from his stance, he looked over towards where the ominous tone came from and saw the masked man in black, a hint of mystery to him.

Keeping the blade activated, Connor wasn't sure what to make of the situation. It wasn't his place to object to anything, although he wanted to. He didn't like being spied on.

"Excuse me, I didn't know we had company."

"As a Silver Shadow, we must be prepared for the unexpected. Our training regime is .. different .. to that of the other Jedi. We have to be more tough and strict", she said.

"You are chosen for your desire to fight the cause we do, and for your natural abilities, but like myself and all of the Shadows we need to constantly hone them and with those that require training to mold them, as we are doing now".

Creimire turned and saluted Brother Relic and relinquished her position in front of Agomar and moved to the side to guide him.

He nodded, looking over the mysterious figure in front of them.

"Yes, of course my Sister. I just wasn't aware we had company. But I assume that was the point."

He nodded towards the shadow.

You may call me Agomar; the defining sword. I am happy to learn from you."

Connor deactivated his saber and gave a slight bow.

Relic returned the bow as he took [member="Creimire"]'s place. Niman first, and if that was not challenging, a second blade would be added. Agomar's newly learned Soresu against Relic's Niman. This would prove interesting indeed. Soresu did not teach how to defend against a form that also incorporated force and blade combinations.

"Relic," he stated as he ignited the blue blade of his saber.

Relic took position in the typical low guard opening stance of the sixth form. There was no need to wait for [member="Connor Harrison"] to be ready. After all this was a test of what he had just learned. Opening with a diagonal upward slash, Relic targeted the man from his right knee upward to his left shoulder.

He barely had time to take in the masked mans name and take a deep swallow before Relic had his stance ready. Before Connor managed to activate his blade, he noticed that he wasn't going to wait until he was ready.

Relic slashed diagonally in one fluid movement that took him by surprise. Tilting his body and recoiling to avoid the blade, he quickly activated his blue blade and brought it up before his body.

He didn't have time to learn the offensive; he simply had to improvise. Adapt.

Best to mirror. Stepping forward with his left foot, he swiped diagonally down from left shoulder to right knee, eyes focusing on the two glaring at him from behind Relic's mask.

Blades were locked, the man was mimicking. Relic would press him to see if he could keep up. He would take his time, let the man get adjusted to the new form, but not for long. Relic was already biting at the chance to use a force/saber combination to show [member="Connor Harrison"] the beauty of this form.

Keeping the blades locked, Relic pivoted, and sidestepped to the right. He raised the blades over both heads before releasing a force push at his core.

His grip tight, his nerve calm, he was thankful for locking blades. It meant he wasn't left open. Relic's eyes bore into Connors as the two read each other. Connor could read nothing, which was worrying.

As the strength of Relic brought Connors arms up with his blade due to his movement, he wasn't prepared for the enhanced push that came from within.

Connor broke his two-handed grip, releasing it to just one as he lost his balance an was pushed backwards, crumpling on his feet first and then flat on his back.

That was embarrassing. Don't dwell. Push forward.

Not waiting to dwell in pity, Connor rolled to his left and pushed himself up, gripping the hilt with two hands again facing his opponent.

Trying to remember anything Creimire had taught him moments ago, Connor held the hilt with his right hand, held just behind his head, and raised his left hand before him and circled around Relic.

As she moved around the stone room, staying close to the walls to remain at a safe distance from the flashing blades. She prowled watching both men .. Connor is learning fast and on his feet, which is exactly what Creimire wanted, as much as training is good in a controlled environment, it is nothing compared to what is waiting for them out in the galaxy. And so the Silver Shadows have to prepare in a more stronger environment.

She noted Relic is fluid in all movement, a strong energy through the force pulsed around him, although his signature is masked his energy and aura flickered. Connor gaining control over his emotions, only now giving in to them momentarily before pulled them back. With time he will learn to remove them entirely when in these situations and learn to make his enemy be the ones that loose control.

"Agomar, do not concern yourself with the form technique in these situations, that will come with practice, ... fight the fight before you now". She advised .. "And use all means possible to defeat your enemy, use the force to sense your environment and use it, use the force within you and use it. The Sith will do this, they play dirty ... and so must we".

[member="Creimire"] instructed as the spar went on, good thing too, because Relic was not going to stop pressing. He was ready to let up any moment Agomar's life was in danger. With the force already called upon, Relic reached for another combination, this time a force pull with a simultaneous upward slash. This was Niman at its best.

Connor was taking in the advice given and using it as best he could. He decided to cut his emotion from the Order he was still new to and focus on the emotion he felt after his incident on Rhen Var.

That emotion was darker, but not dangerous. Wild, but not reckless.

As he pushed on, he felt the pull of the Force from Relic towards him. Feeling like a rope had pulled him violently forward, it took him momentarily by surprise but at the moment he felt it, Connor gripped his blade and swung down hard to meet Relic's upward slash, clashing before both their bodies.

Finding that darker emotion from when he was isolated years ago, Connor allowed his elbow of his right arm to swing around, aiming to strike Relic across the face as their blades clashed.

Creimire advised him to play dirty and so by cutting himself off from the emotion that would restrain him, Connor let himself play dirty.

A small smile crossed her face as she watched Agomar strike toward Relic, Agomar just had to remember to keep his cool. This would be a big test for him and a showing one but Creimire knew he had what it took to become a strong Shadow, he just had to be patient.

She continued to circle the combatants and take note .. however she will not halt proceeding [member="Relic"] is more then aware of what is required and what the limits are. The corner of her mouth curled more as Agomar began to fight the fight as she suggested and Creimire knew that the gloves were off now.

Relic simply raised his free hand to block the elbow strike as [member="Connor Harrison"] stepped forward. The knight simply retaliated by sending his boot between the legs of the man. If he was going to learn to fight dirty he might as well learn what that meant.

As his elbow was blocked, Connor felt a retaliation as both hands were now out of use. It was coming from his feet. Dirty play indeed.

With nowhere to go, Connor simply twisted and brought his right leg up to impact with Relic's kick, still causing a sharp pain but one that was nothing compared to what might have been.

Thumping his leg down, he pushed down with his blade, trying to give him space to pull back and away from being so close to him. He did so, the saber crackling as he did, but now he was once more out of his comfort zone so had to improvise.

He swept across right with his blade, before suddenly taking one hand off and following it through with a fist towards Relic's face.

Sometimes you had to take a bit to set up your next move. Had this been a real fight, Relic would have activated his second lightsaber and Agomar would be minus a hand. Instead he took the hit and then activated his second weapon in order to show [member="Connor Harrison"] what that move could have costed him.

"Time for Jar'Kai."

He saw the second hilt a moment too late, letting his resolve go and pulling back with his blow. The blade hummed to life and forced Connor back, surprised and slightly taken aback by the appearance of a second saber to contend against. This was totally new to him.

He brought up his blade diagonally across his body, ready to take a high or low defence, judging the fight as best he could and ready for a dual assault on his senses by Relic.

"Give me your best, Relic." Connor said.

Yes he would regret it, but there was nothing for him to lose in trying.

Agomar, remember that little nudge with the force push you gave me? .. , was all she said directly to his mind. Creimire remained walking and moving just in case of the need for evasive action.

"When fighting a female, that move of Brother Relic's .. is just as effective on females as it is males. If a female tells you otherwise she is lying". She was of course referring to the kick to the groin.

She moved now more to the back of the room, and turned her back to them, although her sense are very much attuned to what is happening in the room, she prepared the next part of his training. Two pistols she removed from her belt and checked them to see if they are loaded which they always are, however she lowered the levels and set to stun.

Under her mask, a small smile formed as she contemplated giving them both a surprise.

Relic stood... this was a teaching moment, and he wanted the man to understand what almost happened.

"You realize were you not on the same side, and this was a real fight, I would have just removed your arm. Fight dirty, but fight smart as well. The second hilt has been hanging from my belt this entire time. Stretch out with the force and become one with your surroundings. Let the force guide your attacks and your defense. As long as you keep reacting, or trying beat me in your own strength, you will fail."

That was the key for this man. He needed to face Relic in the way that he would face another force user. His connection to the force was an ally and he needed to use it, especially with what [member="Creimire"] was thinking.

The words from Relic stung, and it frustrated Connor. He deactivated his blade and tapped the hilt against his thigh, nodding at what was being said.

He had to start trusting his connection with the Force and allowing it to enhance and control his actions. There would be no point serving with the Silver Jedi if you were not one with the Force that the Silver Jedi served themselves. Connor was starting to make himself become something he wasn't - a normal man.

The emotion inside him was slowly bubbling away, a frustrated anger at not gaining the upper hand or proving he could be something better than this.

Closing his eyes for a brief moment, he resigned himself to allow the Force to work with his mind, not against it, to map the room, the two people there, the shadows, the weapons, the emotion.

Connor ignited his blue blade once more, cutting himself of from the outside and allowing his mind to be controlled by his connection to the Force, showing nothing on the exterior.

Standing with a gap between his front and rear leg, Connor brought up the saber beside his torso and waited...

Without any warning to either man, Creimire turned and open fire with her blaster. As she is a deadly shot with the rifle and the blaster as Coci this obviously translated to her. The first shots she directed away from Relic but to Agomar on his right side, the bolt are not live but a hit would render Agomar either numb or stunned.

Three bolts rang out in the stone room, the first of many volleys .. the next ones directed to Relic, no deviation on this ones but by now he would sense what was happening and have time to adjust. Of course in a live situation, they would not have this benefit of a friend...

A tingling sensation pricked Connor's senses, and without questioning the feeling that Creimire was going to attack, he followed his instinct and turned to her as she span around with her blasters.

The noise was far louder in the stone room thanks to the curvature of the roof above, but Connor didn't flinch against the sound of battle. The bolts came to him and in three soft motions he let the Force guide his hands over the hilt of his blade.

Sideways left.

Sideways right.

Straight down.

The bolts spat off his blade upwards into the roof and down into the stone with a satisfying explosion of light.

He didn't feel in control of his actions; his body felt like it was being controlled, and without questioning his saber came up over his head ready to strike and his feet planted themselves firmly on the ground, not once detracting from what was happening around him as he readied himself.
