Black Ghost in a Grey Mist (Master Needed)

Talos sat overlooking the sunrise from a hilltop, meditating on the souls trapped within him. Hundreds of Force Souls occupied his body, torrents of emotions, thoughts and senses battered his mind. So as a precautionary measure, he meditated to maintain control. He had joined the order of the Grey to further his knowledge in the Force, he'd learned many abilities as a padawan under the Atrisian Empire and with the Aang'Tii. Now he wished to learn from the powers of the Grey.

Veino paused as he walked up the hill once he began to pick up a storm of emotions. He took a deep breath and raised his emotional shields. Strange how everything seemed suddenly to be so quiet. Even stranger how that was how most beings felt.

He proceeded to the top of the hill, and gave a respectful nod to [member="Talos Riga"]. "Hello. Beautiful morning, isn't it?"

Talos sat quietly as the Echoes sorted out their own problems in his head. He felt another presence approaching and quieted the Echoes to acknowledge the newcomer.

This morning pleases Us, yes. Greetings to you. We are Talos Riga. What name do you go by?

@Veino Garn

"I am Veino Garn. Pleased to meet you, Talos, if I may call you that," He approaches, but didn't get too close, so as to not disturb too much. "Anything specific that brings you up here? Or simply meditation?"

[member="Talos Riga"]

[member="Talos Riga"]

Veino nodded thoughtfully, "I had a similar struggle at one point, Very different cause though." He chewed his lip, thinking best how to phrase it, "I can try and teach you how I did it if you want, and probably other things you wish to learn as well."

Well, the controlling part isn't Our worry, it's what They know that worries Us. The fact that They can take over Us and use what they know without Us knowing it Ourselves. We wish to learn to extract the knowledge from all of Us and use it in the field.

@Veino Garn

Veino sat down, legs crossed, and rested his chin on his hands, thinking.That was a pickle he had never experienced before or heard of before. Time to think outside the box. Way outside the box.

"Extracting the information could definitely happen, but I am not sure how effective it would be, especially anything involving muscle memory..." He trailed off again, thinking. "A type of meditation might potentially be the most effective, I think...focusing on one in particular, and then using telepathy of some sort or another to read the knowledge,"

This probably wasn't helpful at all. So much for being a teacher now. He shrugged the bitterness aside, Now was not the time.

[member="Talos Riga"]

"There is logic in your answer. The trouble will be to select the one We are looking for. They will most likely want to all be selected. Like pups who want attention."

From nowhere, a pair a green ghostly skulls appeared, "We heard that ... We do agree it may work... But we will not go so easily..."

@Veino Garn

Veino nodded slowly, listening to [member="Talos Riga"] and the skulls that floated around him. That was fortunate. His first teaching idea was not terrible. It might actually work. It would be a challenge though.

"A challenging lesson is worth all the more. Telepathy then... And you will have to convince them all it would be worth talking to you."

Talking is something We all agree on, it's listening We have trouble with, as he spoke, he snatched a skull with lightning speed and crushed it in his hand. The green aura flew into his chest and disappeared.

Telepathy is something We're trained with. The trouble lies in the directing of abilities. We can fight together but We cannot think together...We are one...But We are divided...We need cohesion...

Veino nodded and folded his hands together under his chin, thinking, Cohesion. Focus. Unity. All things that could be accomplished through the Force. He frowned, considering a plan. It would be difficult, and he would need to learn quite a bit more to fully teach it.

"A possible solution might be something called Force Link. It ...connects Force users so that they can work together to achieve something they can't do alone. I can only teach the basics of that though."

That would be the technique that would likely be the most effective. We would like to learn all you know. It may be beneficial for you as well. We are capable of simultaneously learning.

Veino nodded and closed his eyes, thinking back to what he knew. It really was very little. But, it would be enough, perhaps. He took a deep breath and settled deeply into the Fprce. He was going to need all the assistance he could get.

"The first step is to expand your self beyond your body. All Force users participating do this same thing." He looked over to Talos to see if that made sense.

Talos nodded, and let all of the Echoes and himself escape his body, all at once, a thousand ghostly green skulls appeared around the pair, all facing Talos and all silent. Talos closed his eyes and let the thoughts of the Echoes collect inside his mind. He let the Force do the work, weaving its way through all of the Echoes, Talos and Veino. If he was tuned enough, Veino would feel all of the Echoes thoughts, their abilities, their fears, desires, 1,001 souls seeping into his mind. Their collective power would be felt, and even how Talos came to be the Keeper of the Souls. (See Bio)

Veino reached outside himself, sort of stepping outside his body was how he pictured it, and reached out, linking with [member="Talos Riga"] and all the others. He took a quick, sharp breath as the merge completed. Sweat trickled down the back of his neck and his heart started pounding, So much information. So many beings. So much... death. He saw it all and felt it all.

He focused on strengthening his barriers, adding more layers of mental bricks until he intensity faded and tension slipped from his body like water running downhill.

Talos felt the merger of the minds, and the Echoes surprisingly did not fight it, but they crowded the newcomer.

"We are linked, We are one."

The Echoes flowed to the mans mind, giving up their knowledge, but it was a ruse and Talos fought hard to pull them back. They were attempting to take the knowledge stored in the and head, they were trying to incase his mind. Talos roared with all his strength of will and ripped the Echoes from the mind of @Veino Garn.

"We...apologize... The Echoes are contained...you are safe. We will try to maintain control if you wish to try again." He spoke, out of breath.

[member="Talos Riga"]

Veino shook his head slowly, disbelief etched on his features. He had never even heard of something like this. Yet here he was, attempting to teach someone to control.

"We should definitely keep working on this, but don't worry about me." He gave a wry, butter smile, "I have become quite adept at keeping things out of my mind. I'll be more prepared this time." The echoes were malevolent. That was obvious. He added more bricks to his walls, and memories as way of traps. He'd never done it before, but it seemed plausible. He wasn't quite sure which memories to choose though. Painful ones? Or pleasant ones?

He nodded to Talos, "Ready when you are."

Talos nodded and closed his eyes. The Echoes began to meld with the mind of Veino. Talos felt his own mind swirling with the hundred others. He felt the powers of the Echoes become known to him. Veino would feel the abilities of the Echoes and Talos flood his own mind, A taste of the ability that Talos knows that involves moving objects without the Force. The Echoes began to flow around the pair of the Force-Users. Talos felt the strengths of the Echoes and Veino.
