  • Sixteens get tossed around by grenades
  • They focus on holding the entrance to the generators
  • Shai has great confidence in the team sent to blow the generators up
  • Sixteens advance with shields and insults at the ready to put pressure on the Ultranauts
  • Writs rockets and particle bolts are hurled at the enemy.

sFeo9o7.png

The Sixteens formed up in a tight formation in preparation for the enemy’s arrival. Shai and her unit knew that the pending fight would be hard. The Ultranauts were fierce soldiers with a discipline and determination only matched by the Stormtroopers of the New Imperial Order.

However, one thing nobody seemed to notice was the scaling of danger the closest one got to the Sixteenth Company. A fact that the Ultranauts of the Eternal Empire would soon familiarize with.

”We make the rules, Siv. You wanna see more action, we can easily sort out a plan after this little fight.” Shai commented with a cackling laugh as she glanced at Siv. ”Let’s just show these Eternals we mean business then we can talk it out over a drink or two.”

The shield wall held firmly against the shots from the Ultranauts, their barrage pinging off the Beskar shields and helmets harmlessly as they turned their attention to the emerging enemy. A few shots rang out the moment the Eternal soldiers made their presence known. Though, despite the firepower being thrown at them, they still managed to hurl a pair of grenades through the air towards the Sixteens.

Cnzym64.png

One of the soldiers noticed the grenade flying overhead and broke formation to throw it back, but the grenade went off only a few feet away from the shield wall along with the other. Soldiers were flung back by the explosions as the Ultranauts prepared for their assault. A number of them recovered quickly and had their rifles at the ready to meet the enemy with everything they had, but plenty of them were rather slow to recover from the blast and shrapnel of the grenades overwhelming them in the enclosed space they defended.

Shai’s attention was caught by blaster fire coming from behind them. It seemed that a few enemy troops managed to either find another way to the generators, or they were waiting for them. Regardless, their priority was to stall and push back the enemy. :: Regroup! Give them hell! :: She barked as she pushed herself from the floor and brought her wrist rocket to bear. Her sights zeroed in on the spot behind the enemy to push them out of their cover, something a few others followed up with as they let loose as well with their rockets.

”That all you got?!” she barked at the enemy as she pushed up with her shield at the ready, motioning for Siv and her troops to follow her as they marched towards their enemy with blasters and repeaters covering their approach. ”Why don’t you come fight us like some real soldiers?!” She cackled over the cacophony. ”You wanted steel, come and get it!”

No sooner had Rath dealt with the trio and wiped the excessive blood from his blade with a stained cloth. Two more Mandalorians, this time they came from the mines itself with their blasters at the ready. Rath let out a sigh as he continued to wipe off the liquid that once gave life and then dropped the dirty rag.

”One after another, you people come, and your people die. How much more blood must be spilled before your taste is satisfied?” Not that it was Rath’s position to question such a thing, and the Mandalorians didn’t take it too well as Rath began to step away from the bodies of their fallen. Rath didn’t have any time to pull the bodies away, but there was still a pile of bodies from the first squad that came through. Only the piled bodies weren’t wearing any armor or weapons.

Two shots were fired at Rath’s direction, one he turned away as the thermal bolt barely missed his shoulder, and the second one Rath put up his free hand as there was like a white dot at the center of his palm. As he focused on the more calm aspect of the Force and acceptive of the heat from the bolt as it struck against his hand. Instead of scorching his hand or dissipating like last time. It instead was deflected off to the side away from Rath. Another sigh as both Mandalorians trained their weapons at Rath and began to circle around him.

”Not enough it seems… Fine then.” With two metallic clicks, both cylindrical hilts removed themselves from his belt as one hilt floated on both sides of Rath. Then from the pair of hilts came the black blades with white sparks showering from them. He reached behind him to pull out a similar hilt, but no blade from it was ignited as Rath continued to watch the pair of warriors. Of course the mere sight of two floating lightsabers caused another short burst at Rath. Only to witness the lightsabers deftly move in a twirling motion with no hindrance to deflect the bursts of blasterfire.

Then the twirling lightsabers rapidly advanced towards the pair of Mandalorians, and simultaneously Rath quickly went after Kal. Rockets and flame spewed from their gadgets. Even as the air whistled sharply as the whistling birds sailed towards him. The very ground shook as Rath produced a strong kinetic burst from under his feet to not just make him jump over Kal and over the flame, but to also produce a shockwave to knock most of the missiles away. Three however, still managed to puncture through the leather of his right thigh and right side. Pain coursed through Rath, but he continued on with his motion to drive the shoto that was just ignited into the soft tissue between the shoulder. Shallow as it was, the lightsaber followed with a slash at the leather section of the upper arm. It didn’t sever the limb, but it still left a gash in the man’s arm. As for Senaar, the second lightsaber sliced his weapon into pieces before it suddenly swung low to deliver a gash behind the man’s left knee.

Rath grunted as he landed on his feet behind Kal, and with a spin on his heel into a crouching position Rath drove his sword into Kal’s stomach. Truthfully he didn’t know any of them, and with two motions of his lightsabers they slashed at Kal and Senaar’s arms to inflict gashes. Effectively disabling them so to speak as Rath drew his sword from Kal. He felt his side burn as Rath stood up on his feet. Both of his lightsabers hovered barely an inch from their necks, but otherwise he didn't kill them. The shoto deactivates as Rath turns to the pair.

”I have nothing against your people personally, but I fail to understand why you desire to contest with us now of all times. Unless your people suddenly felt like conquering, but surely there are planets out there easier to conquer than one of the beating hearts of the Eternal Empire.” Granted Rath hasn’t been a part of the Eternal Empire’s affairs in a couple of years, but he doesn’t recall any conflict between the Eternal Empire and the Mandalorians. He grimaced under the mask and luckily his armor was dark so blood couldn’t be seen under the naked eye. Of course, the whole time Rath doesn’t detect Eliz. He’s never encountered anyone being Force Dead either, so he had no reason to suspect there was someone else lurking in the shadows as well.

The Phase-Blade was deflect wide after connecting with the songsteel shaft Darth Vornskr raised to protect herself, the ringing contact resounding in his helm. It wasn't an unexpected outcome for Andras who'd put a greater importance on taking the high ground.

As he came down, closer to the dais and swung around to face his opponent again he'd have caught the movements of Vornskr. The Phase-Blade in his right hand would come whipping across to catch Zaudraka on the inside in response and parry the impressive wide and to the right of its mistress. In doing so the Phase-Blade came across Andras and over to his left. At the same time the songsteel shaft came down at Andras like a club.

He'd raise his left arm, angling it over his head at forty-five degree so that he could catch the descent of the shaft off the vambrace of his armor. The Impact was still enough that Andras was driven down onto a knee, the concussion of the blow reverberating through his body. If not for the cellular padding in his armor meant to help assist with the absorption of such force and the impact polymores his skeletal structure was enhanced with the bone may have broken. Nonetheless the force had not only driven him down to a knee but sense the worst tingling sensation through his left arm.

When he was driven down Andras responded quickly though, he'd backhanded the Phase-Blade and disengaged it from Zaudraka. Letting the blade fan upwards under the cover of his raised arm he'd aim for Joycelyn's wrist hoping to strike the sweet spot between the protection of her armor and remove her hand. It was at this point that the Jet Pack integrated into the armor Andras wore also activated.

"Iron does not break."

...the comms crackled in their metallic tone as Andras was launched at Joycelyn Zambrano Joycelyn Zambrano with amazing force. When the Jet Pack sent Andras at Joycelyn, closing the gap to effectively nil where their weapons would be less effective he'd went to deliver a flying knee into her chest with enough force that he'd hoped it would hurl her back down the stairs away from him.

He hadn't forgotten the smoke either but it was clear that Andras attention lay primarily with Dark Vornskr now.

Knowing Sophia was en route, Lilanna allowed herself to appear in the force, her presence would emanate through the force as she approached, her hand gripping her saber as she could hear the woman reciting the Warden's code over the comm, and enticing Lilanna all the while. She was less than pleased with the actual code of the Wardens being shared, especially so openly over the comms. This woman was a threat to her very organization, and for that, Lilanna would need to see her be taken care of.
Ideally, Sophia would be arriving shortly, though if not then Lilanna felt she could handle herself. She continued on, her mind focusing on how to engage her foe, and where their battle would go from here. As she neared the final wall that separated her from her adversary, Lilanna merely passed through it, appearing on the other side, as she phased through the material. Once she arrived on the other side, she ignited her blade, and pointed it towards the Mandalorian. "That was a mistake."
She shifted her feet, taking up a Djem So pose, angling her golden blade horizontal to her body, and awaiting what was to come. "After I'm done with you, I'll ensure your violation of the code is 'addressed', Mandalorian."
The visor around Lilanna's face would become transparent, revealing the woman's full face, and something a tad more disturbing; her eyes were now entirely black. "I'll let you chose, how would you like to die?"

How would she like to die?

Beneath her helmet, Gwyneira gulped. She was so underwhelming in her own abilities with the Force and lightsabers. Despite the Shroudsabers hanging on her belt, she had no clue how to use a lightsaber. She did, however, know something else. She was a fully trained Mandalorian warrior, and she was going to do everything in her power to make sure this obviously powerful Force User stayed away from her comrades. This was indeed a Warden, a piece of her past. She had left the Eternal Empire for several reasons, and now she was faced with two options… pay here, or pay later.

At least her gamble had worked. Her reciting of the Warden's Code drew in the threat, and that threat was angry. Good. Anger clouded the mind and hampered judgement. Furthermore, the Mandalorians were designed as warriors capable of fighting Force Users. By all means, Gwyn still had a chance. How did she want to die? Well, she certainly did not want to die today. Regardless of how this turned out, however, she knew there was no backing down now. All the time she spent running from the Empire, hiding from the Wardens… that was over now. Now, she was exposed. Now, she was free. Free from the Empire physically, yes, she had been since she defected. Yet, now her mind was free as well. She no longer had the threat hanging in the back of her mind. Sweet relief took over as she executed her plan. This felt so, so good. She never felt so strong.

She lifted her Warrior Vambrace, smirking beneath her visor. "Are you sure I am the one due to die tonight? I am free. And the free die on their own terms."

She clenched her hand shut.

The doorway exploded.

As the explosion set off, Gwyneira extended her gauntlet, all the while pulling out her Borealis pistol. In a song of fire and ice, she shot a blaster bolt towards the Warden's feet, hoping to hamstring her if she escaped the explosion. Meanwhile, her personal combat shield activated on her gauntlet. The blue plasma shield cast a blue aura over her black and gold armor as the brilliant battle began.

The last of the explosives were set, he made sure to cover every available space. If it was to be blown up, it must be with plenty of Detonators and he patted the final one as it was placed on the saturated console. He overdid it, there was way too much on here. But it'll create a lovely big explosion regardless of the quantity.

Vulcan throughout shows a sprightly eagerness to blow stuff up. But he still had plenty to learn including multitasking concentration, he ended up taking cover behind his shield as he was fired upon. He grabbed a spare Magnetic Detonator and threw it as hard as he could at an Ultranaut's face, it attached firmly, beeped, and blew the guy's face off and caught a few others in the blast, it was rather messy. He kept throwing them until he ran out of any explosives to use.

Explosives are messy, but sometimes messy works. Ultranauts now had begun to shield their faces to ward off more exploding projectiles. Which opened up new exploits that the other Vod quickly countered. They were at a standstill, neither side advancing.

Vulcan could have done many things at that moment, used a rifle, two in each hand or gotten that vent open, but he decided to chuck an armed Detonator at someone in the heat of battle. As long as it was effective, he didn't sweat the details, the Ultranauts wouldn't sweat blasting the face off a teenager. He doubted that anyone would be spared, age or not. He squashed the swell of unease bubbling up into his chest and knotting it. He has no time to get nervous, not now, not when much is at stake.

With no hesitation whatsoever, he quickly scooted over to deal with the vent cover, he used his blade to unscrew the screws, this will make it simpler to remove than forcing it off. A blaster scorched the wall inches from his head as Vulcan put three rounds in the Ultranaut, he had to keep his shield up as he finished his work.

With an exit now viable Vulcan moved back to his previous position. The vent can fit an adult through pretty well and it seems to lead outside and will get them out if there are no exits available. He had intended to tell Alora this but he became swamped with gunfire, his shots adding to the sheets of plasma, the air smelled of sharp ozone and felt noticeably hotter. He can only guess how bad the static in his fluffy hair is under this helmet, it's going to snap once the metal comes off.

:<"I got the vent open, you can fit an adult through it. It leads to the outside.">: Vulcan spoke through the comm to Alora, which made it easier to speak through the deafening roar of gunfire and to keep the EE from eavesdropping. : <"We can escape through it.>:

He knows one thing from his many fights, he's allergic to dying.

Shock N' Awe

"Only if the drinks are on you, Wardog," She'd shoot back with a cackle of a laugh of her own, just before the hail of gunfire made laughing less appropriate. She held her shield, feeling the impact of each shot against the beskar, thankful for its resilience and appreciating the almost musical sound of the shots landing or bouncing away.

Siv was able to peer through the small gaps in the shield wall, the amusing Eternal Ultranaughts. They were indeed fantastic soldiers, but they had not faced a foe like the Enclave, let alone a foe like the ones standing against them in this moment. They'd surely feel the heat of her blade if they came in too-

Her thoughts on slicing and dicing were interrupted by the force and heat of that exploding grenade, she was flung back several feet, rolling across the ground and hitting skidding to a halt. She laid there for several seconds her head hazy and dizzy from the concussion. She reached up to her neck and twisted her head, cracking her neck.

She remained on the ground for a few more moments before sitting up. Watching Shai advancing already. She gave herself a few punches at the chest before hopping up, shield and beskad at the ready, jogging and catching up to Shai. She would bang her beskad against her shield as she approached the Eternal formation. "Come on, afraid to duke it out hand to hand with a couple of gals?" She'd call out tauntingly with a laugh before spotting her prey, a small detached group of three Ultranauts...

She'd smirk, "Time for some Shock N' Awe," she'd say flatly before bending over, and with a quick press at her wrist her jetpack flashed to life, sending the women at the small formation. How would she slow down? She whipped her shield around and made herself a flying battering ram. Crashing into one of the three Ultranauts and landed on her feet with surprising grace. The man was thrown back almost in the way she'd been before. "Oh, that's gonna hurt in the mornin'..." she'd mutter before looking to the closest remaining of the three and lashing out with her beskad.

And she was right back into the fight.

Elsewhere, Panatha was burning. Ships were destroying each other in orbit. But those fires were too far away to be seen, and the ships blasting away at each other were indiscernible from the stars of the Panathan night. Aboard the Bes'tare, it was almost tranquil. But Romul had fought enough wars to know that this was just the calm before the storm, a false peace.

Eyes closed, he breathed, in and out.

It was time.

His eyes opened, and in them blazed an amber fury.

"What is the status of the city's defenses?" The Akaan'alor called out. He was a giant amongst Mandalorians, near seven foot tall in his heavyweight beskar'gam. He was an intimidating figure, but not a threatening one to the brothers and sisters that stood at the bridge of the Bes'tare. His command did not come from fear; it came from respect, and with respect came loyalty of a kind that could not be bought.

Gallius Saxon was the one who responded. Once just kin, now his loyal lieutenant under the banner of the Mandalorian Enclave. "They are weakened, Akaan'alor. But not fully destroyed."

"It matters not," Romul decided, swiping with his hand. "The hour grows late. Our window for vengeance is fading. We must strike now. Move the fleet to the capital city and inform all Mandalorian forces that they are to proceed to evac once their mission objectives are complete. Darasuum Kote."

"Darasuum Kote!" The bridge cried as the Mandalorian war fleet powered up and the Iron Mountains began to recede behind them. Eternal Glory. They were a floating armada that would bring only one thing: death.

The time of the Mando'ade had come.

  • The fleet has begun to move to the capital city. Estimated time of arrival between 10 and 15 minutes.

None of his shots struck true. But that was to be expected. Volo hadn't been aiming to hit anyone, that in mind, he was partially surprised by the lack of effect his covering fire had. Perhaps he had underestimated his prey. Regardless of what he had done, he should have known better.

Even if he had not expected an Emperor and an Empress to be so dauntless, he should have at least expected something when a mere King put up such a valiant effort at self defense, one to rival his own personal guard.

Volo bore this in mind as he flicked a switch on his repeater, activating the amplifying chamber. He hardly needed a high fire rate with only four targets in his sights, two of which were allies. No, accuracy and power were best against such vicious and resilient foes.

His finger flexed against the trigger, compressing it for a brief moment as the blaster built up charge. Volo breathed in, directing the barrel of the weapon to fire upon the Emperor's path towards the Empress.

His aim would be without purpose, however, as his eyes fixed on the object flying towards him. Volo had barely a moment to consider dissipating the bolt as he threw himself to the side, narrowly avoiding the sword as it tore through the air where his body had been but a second before.

He hit the marble floor hard, though he admittedly felt almost nought of the impact thanks in no small part to the Galaar Beskar'gam he wore. It was reliable, and advanced, albeit at the cost of not being Beskar, per se. Volo grunted all the same, however, and pulled his arm free of the repeater's sling as the blade flipped itself mid-air.

Volo was up on his feet, then on his back again, once more barely dodging the blade as it soared towards him; This time, though, the floor itself appeared to throw him away. In the same moment, the shockwave knocked the barrel of his repeater high, just as the particle bolt released. The bolt shot high and struck hard into the ceiling, shaking and cracking it under the force.

He let out a further grunt of annoyance, pushing himself to his feet. Skaigh could feel the anger beginning to build. This was not the forest. This was not natural. The floor should not fight you harder than your enemies. The enemies should not discard their weapons to fight you.

Even so, as the blade lunged for him a third time, it seemed to slow, as did the rest of his surroundings. To an observer, however, Volo sped up. He stepped to the side and upper-cut the air as the Emperor's blade cut through it, Beskar vibro-spines catching the blade and knocking it astray.

He would then reach out with the same hand, fingers grasping for the hilt of the blade. If he succeeded in grasping the blade, he would wrench with all his might to pull it downwards and imbed it into the marble ground; And keep it firmly dug into place.

If he failed; he would reach with his free hand for the lightsaber he had on him, and pull it free, awaiting the blade's next move.

Equipment:

The first strikes were like a survey. She was prodding his capabilities, testing his defence and response, and for a simple Mandalorian he did well for himself. She would give him that much. It was said that experience could make up for a one's attunement to the Force in simple hand-to-hand combat. That might be true if one pitted a seasoned warrior against an untrained or a simpleton, but Joycelyn Zambrano was neither of those things. Darth Vornskr was a Sith, and a leader of legions.

When Andras' phase blade disengaged from Zaudraka, she reacted with the preternatural senses of the Force.

The forte of the sithsword chased the phase blade as she pulled her other hand back. The plasma of the mandalorian's weapon skimmed off the interlocking phrik plates, just short of the sweet spot, before meeting the songsteel shaft. Meanwhile, the quillons of her sithsword tried to smash into the back of the plasma blade and wrench it from his hand.

This did, however, leave him open for his knee. It was an attack she saw was possible, but a risk she chose to take. He closed the distance and his knee impacted with her breastplate. The chest was one of the completely rigid sections of the armour, built specifically to defend against heavy blows. Even so, she felt the impact and knew that if she were armoured less, it would have been a devastating blow.

He pushed her back, lifting her feet off the stairs. It was true that he had given himself some advantage when coming closer to her head, however, he had also placed himself above her centre of gravity and that was something she could use. Vornskr chose to let the silver pike fall in order to free up her right hand, and before her enemy departed from her, she reached out to seize the rim of his breastplate. Her legs turned, as she tried to use her weight and his momentum to oversteer his jetpack and dash Andras upon the stairs, just as he tried to do with her.

Just as the Sith had done to the children of Mandalore.

If she were to fall, then she would try to take him with her. She would show him that iron could, indeed, break.

In the black smoke, now that the command was given, corpses twisted and turned in their place. The black smoke forced itself into their lungs and beat their bodies back into a facsimile of function. Corpses, strewn, scattered, laying twisted on the ground or hanging on posts by their nooses of flayed hide, began to scream and thrash. Their eyes darkened and glowed with each their pinpricks of crimson, while black ooze gathered around their bodies. The minds of the walking dead were filled with violence against the invaders, commanded by the destructive will of Vahl channelled through Joycelyn and the spell cast in the power of three.

The embalmed and interred dead of Panatha remained still.

- Only those who died in the battle that still raged, those of little faith, were animated by the foul spells of Vahlan sorcery. Friend and foe, the smoke did not care. Every drop of blood spilled, every dead body it could find, the spell consumed and turned into her legion of the dead.

The blade that is raised will coil and turn upon its wielder.

Whether in life or in death, Panatha remains.

The situation was turning more and more into a disaster for both sides. Far away, inside the ships of Romul Saxon Romul Saxon the Overwatch of 16th Company coordinated their strikes, refitted Basilisks, kept an eye on everything going on with the engagements thundering beneath them.

<”Command, this is Acklay actual we’re taking a heavy beating over here at Objective Teroch! We need more boots on the ground and more ammo!”>

<”We need medical supplies as well!”>

Arden Kryze stood behind one of the Sixteens seated by a comms suite, listening to what the troops on the ground had to say. Every word through their comms was relayed, letting Overwatch know what was going on.

:: Acklay, this is Overwatch, ovah. We read you loud an’ clear, ovah. Unfortunately, reinforcements will take some time, th’ ack-acks are too much of a risk for our boys t’ make that fligh’, ovah. The Basilisks continued with their assault on the Ultranauts hammering against the compound, their droning roars splitting the air overhead. Their ion engines howled as they passed again and again.

Along the right flank, Gira and her crew kept up the pressure to cut off any flanks from the enemy with the main and secondary armament of the tank.

:: Doubtful! :: She called out as the shot was lost in the carnage. Her head was on a swivel to make sure their position was clear. The troopers on the right flank made a decent job of clearing any attempts at retaking the tank. :: Gira, movement on your left! :: a voice spoke up over the comms.

Using the top mounted repeater, Gira kept the pressure on the Ultranaut infantry by the center while the gunner opened up with the coaxial on the soldiers escorting the tanks along their flank.

The moment their tanks emerged around their corner, the barrel of the commandeered tank waited for them. :: FIRE! ::

:: On the way! ::

:: Doubtful! Reload and fire again! ::

BUqhzJc.gif

All those training sessions in the Empire’s Cataphracts and other vehicles came in very handy with their coordination against the enemy tanks. A shot impacted the front armour and bounced off with a deep whistle while the tank reversed towards a street. Another shot sunk into the right cheek of the turret, the inside turning red where the armour piercing round nearly pierced through.

Their repeaters kept up their fire on the infantry escorts around the tanks as they engaged the enemy. The ground shook beneath the tank as the onslaught from the air support kept hammering away only a couple of meters from the three tanks locked in their duel.

:: Aight, ammo and meds are on the way! We hold out, we can break them! :: Morgan radioed to his troops as they kept up the fight. But things quickly turned sour when the deep whistles came from above. They all knew what that sound meant.

:: GET DOWN! :: He roared along with his officer beside him as the artillery detonated short, spraying the entire courtyard with lethal shrapnel before deadly phosphorus followed suit to blanked the complex in a white blanket.

All around them, wounded soldiers cried and screamed as they crawled or stumbled around in confusion. Others choked on the smoke enveloping them while others had the burning phosphorus cling to their skin where gloves or helmets were missing. The wounded received it the worst, with their armour and kit stripped to be able to treat them.

Morgan blinked in a haze as he looked around. :: Vision modes, vision modes! And get ready for close quarters. They're coming! :: He managed to blurt out as he crawled to his second in charge. But a feed in the corner of his HUD made his heart sink.

:: Oh hell naw… ::

Cnzym64.png

The sniper team was constantly on the move, firing and relocating to avoid getting pinned down. Their shatter rifles made no noise or left no signature that could give them away over the constant fighting. Though their front row seat of the conflict left them wide open to witness the rear Basilisk get taken out.

The rear Basilisk almost reached full power when the tank traversed and fired at it. The armour piercing round tore through the cockpit’s viewport The machine dropped in on itself as the pilot was obliterated. Smoke poured from the open cockpit as a soft hum started inside it.

:: OH KRIFF! MOVE! EVERYBODY GET OUT! :: The one sniper shouted at the top of his lungs, grabbing the rest and shoving them out of a doorway to fly away as quickly as possible. Outside, the Ultranauts readied for their bayonet charge and final push to storm the complex. None of it mattered to anyone noticing the destruction of the Basilisk right on top of the Ultranaut offensive.

RN3OKPC.gif

The reactor inside the destroyed Basilisk, struck with an armour piercing round from the tank, quickly started to destabilize. In an instant the Basilisk’s reactor collapsed and the immense power inside let loose. The heavy armour and frame was torn apart under the sheer power of the hypermatter reactor ignited the ammunition still housed inside, only adding to the devastating power.

The explosion swept out and enveloped everything in immediate range. The shockwave smashed Mandalorians off the walls and shoved against wrecked vehicles, sending them flying all over along with anything else. The snipers in the air were sent flying uncontrollably until they crashed into a street a few blocks away. Flames enveloped everything and toppled the remaining buildings and debris. What remained of the Basilisk turned into deadly shrapnel and debris sent out, turning into deadly projectiles of varying sizes.

Neither Ultranaut nor Mandalorian were spared by the indiscriminate explosion, flatting half of the block with its shockwave. Not too far away, another Basilisk destabilized and exploded as the nearby anti-air cannons peppered the squadron with armour piercing rounds. The remaining Basilisks dropped into the streets and hid from view as carnage enveloped everyone in the area of the Complex.

When the enormous explosion finally subsided, the defense of the complex fell quiet. Only the cries of the wounded broke the silence as the smoke and flames engulfed the area.

Ingrid has taken advantage of the opportunity that Carnifex was fighting the Mandalorian man. By the time she turned to the Sith, she struck down. The red-haired woman knew how old the man was and had records of his previous battles, so she had no doubt that the Sith Lord also had regenerative abilities. It was just Ingrid's which depended heavily on how much she had "eaten" before. Since she came from the Nether, it was left out; she still hadn't eaten souls, yes recently she had the urge to do it, but she didn't. She fought with all her might to not become an even bigger monster. It was more than enough what the Sith did to her, how they changed her.

It was a pleasant disappointment that the Mandalorian man did not attack her again, but rather he, the Butcher King. She just sent a very small nod to Obran Obran after the man's words. There was no more time, after all, they were right in the middle of a fight. And the woman also had to deal with her own injuries and pain caused by the poison of the Mandalorian. The physical injuries were the ones that began to heal slowly, although the black smoke (her blood) was still coming out of her body on the damaged parts of her armour. She felt the effects of the poison, the pain all over her body.

"I'll Send Carnifex to the Ashlan Crusade, they will execute him for his crimes, I need him alive!" she said coldly.

As in Carnifex, the woman was in much great pain as well. True is not physical, but spiritual. Despite more than three hundred years for Ingrid, Adrian Vandiir's death hurt just as much as the first day. Ingrid was about to strike again like a snake, quickly and smoothly despite all the pain. Mando'a understood the words as she spoke the language. The woman dodged Carnifex's physical attack and continued to move, trying to position herself without obstructing the three armoured men. After all, they all fought for the same goal. She tried to move with them at the same time, but because of the pain, the three Mandalorians were now very little ahead of her.

The Empress knew she could use their life force to feel better so that her wounds would heal, but that would ruin the chances, so she was more willing to stay injured, slower, and weaker. The ground was moving uncomfortably under her feet, and Carnifex was also carrying out his shockwave attack at that moment. Ingrid didn't even try to dodge, she held out her hand and defended herself from the attack with telekinetics, which made her slip back only a metre and a half. However, the Butcher King was already there the next moment and attacked the red-haired woman.

As Carnifex's iron grabbed her arm, the sword fell out of her hand. She could feel the man trying to tear her arm away. Only for a few moments left for her to decide whether or not to risk it. The ceiling also shook due to a hit. Three men have already attacked the ex-ruler again. And the woman had to decide whether to sacrifice her arm for an insecure attack or rather do it against him. Rather, she did not take risks, trusting in the attack of the three Mandalorian warriors.

"But not today, Sith!" she said in an ice-cold voice.

Concentrated, she felt the pain in her arm that became immaterial the next moment, along with Ingrid. The other sword also fell out of her hand, just as the two daggers on her side fell to the ground. The weapons were in the woman's possessions that were not mixed with a changing molecule. She backed off in immaterial form, then returned to her material form after two or three meters. Panting, she fell to her knees, because of the poison it was very exhausting now, she felt like she wouldn't be able to do it again.

As the men attacked Carnifex, Ingrid tried to reach into the Force, then direct one of her daggers exactly toward the neck of the former ruler with telekinetic attack, then yanked the weapon off the ground with telekinetics and tried to move it in such a way that the dagger may hit the Sith Lord under his chin and so if she is lucky the weapon might drill into his skull from below. At the moment, it didn't matter if the man might die. Although it was doubtful whether she would have the time or opportunity to carry out the attack or whether she would have the strength to do so. If the man moves away from where he stands, she won't try any more, just try to pull the four blades back to herself.

Asaaj felt the ship shake as more firepower ripples against she shield and hull, her ship was tough but was taking damage UES Eternity had focused all of its firepower on the tiny frigate, a large amount was missing the target due to a combination of evasive maneuvers and electronic warfare, but it only took a fraction of the huge ship's batteries to cause damage on the much smaller vessel. "Captain, the enemy vessel is firing its orbital cannon, hit chance is limited but high enough to be a risk to the ship, suggest changing course to bring us behind friendly cruisers" The Night Queen AI was unfortunately right and Helm made the corrections, the first shots from the orbital cannons sailed past the hull, but the third shop hit, a glancing blow on the dorsal surface, enough to blow out several shield emitters and blast a long gash several decks deep into the top of the ship. The whole ship twisted port-nose up as the dorsal manuvering thrusters failed sequentially, Night adjusted for the roll but it made changing the ships course much slower and the damaged section was exposed to further incoming fire, secondary explosions were blossoming along the length of the ship.

In the confusion, Asaaj had gone quiet, a disturbance in the force had caught her attention, something large and something old on the planet. She felt the siren call of the dead singing as one as someone orchestrated them. It felt familiar, almost like the magics she used, but not quite. She needed to see, who or what was going on down there. The Mandalorians were typically opposed to such magics, but they were nothing if not inconsistent in their standards when it served them. But maybe there was another dark practitioner in the ranks of the Eternal Empire, this was possible, but a third option presented itself. The people of Panatha itself. It was well known that the place harbored Sith of the Zambrano lineage for a long time. And any number of them could be responsible. All questions, she wanted answers. Another large blast and a fireball blossoming from the Dorsal wound brought her attention back to the here and now.

"Night!" she snapped and the AI immediately appeared in front of her. Standing, the Captain's mind was made up. "unfortunately there is little more we can do here, I am no longer required for the rest of the mission so will be moving to the planet's surface to investigate a pressing issue. Please move the ship to safety and jump to rendezvous point beta as per standing orders." she waited for the AI to say something about her leaving the ship at a time like this, but what was to argue. The ship was failing and her she was, a warrior ready to enter battle. Night just nodded and took the seat next to the second officer.

Asaaj retired to her one private quarters where three of her Revenant Warriors waited for her. "I need two of you to join me on the planet, the third of you must allow me to feed to fuel the spell." she was still learning to take multiple people on this trip, but she found the blood helped give her enough to do it and I she wished to bring them more she needed to drink deeply.

One of then warriors stepped forward and she drank, drawing on the volunteers vitality to fuel her own, it was all the Asaaj could to to prevent her draining her dry, but she knew to leave enough to ensure her warrior could heal. "Thank you for your gift." she said with a smile, her eyes yellowed and her teeth fully extended. As the sacrifice retired, Asaaj began to cast the spell, dark clouds swirled and filled the room, with glowing orange embers landing on each of their skins, in moments they became one with the smoke and left the confines of the ship, travelling through the void before rematerilaising thousands of miles away in a cloud of similar smoke. They were on the planet's surface now, unbeknownst to them or Joycelyn Zambrano Joycelyn Zambrano , the caster of the spell, the Witch and her warriors were only a hundred or so metres from their location and they were on the hunt.

He had her in His grasp, He could feel the armor giving way beneath His terrible grip. A few more seconds and the Dark Lord of the Sith would have torn straight through the Eternal Empress' armor and ripped her arm off with His bare hands. That satisfaction was denied to Him when the Empress disappeared from view, His hands now wrapping around empty air, and reappeared several meters away. That brief moment of surprise was quickly dispelled as the electrowhip of Siv Dragr snap-coiled around the Dark Lord's wrist, drawing His left hand towards the Mandalorian warrior as Siv pulled on the line with as much strength as he could muster as electricity coursed through the cable and into the Dark Lord directly.

A spear slammed into the Dark Lord's leg armor, cutting a large gash in the metal and cutting further through the protective silk and into the skin beneath. More blood spurted out across the ruined floor, black ink drops that sizzled and sputtered with intense heat. A blow to the back of the Dark Lord's head alerted Him to His second assailant, a reflexive swipe with His right arm attempting to swat the Mandalorian away like He was an insect.

He then extended His left arm, the one bound by Siv's electrowhip, and coiled a few more inches of cable around His hand before holding on tight. Electricity danced across the Dark Lord's armor and skin, sparks flying wherever the bolts struck metal and grounded through the Dark Lord's body. Then He reached out with His right hand to hold onto the cable, just an inch ahead of where the cable was being held onto by His left arm and pulled with the immense strength given to Him through the Force and through His own bodily might.

And He attempted to swing Siv around and around like a weight, primarily attempting to bash and entangle Obran while at the very least pressuring Siv to release the cable connecting himself to the Dark Lord.

Meanwhile, the Dark Lord's sword made several unsuccessful attempts to skewer Volo Skaigh before being grasped by the hilt and slammed with tremendous force into the floor. The blade cut through the floor like it was made out of paper, sinking all the way to the guard without much resistance; a testament to what it would have done to Volo had it managed to strike him directly. However, the danger had not yet passed as the sword began to shudder and vibrate within its containment. A few seconds later, the floor around the sword exploded as the sword wrenched itself free. Though, instead of attacking again the sword instead soared back towards its master on a trajectory to meet the other Mandalorians attacking Him.

As this was going on, the battle outside was growing more and more ferocious. Explosions rippled across the palace complex as collateral from nearby fighting spilled over, a nuclear explosion tearing apart an entire city block within eyeshot of the palace ramparts. One of the Mandalorian Basilisks, wounded in the fighting, crashed down somewhere within the palace walls and exploded with such tremendous force that it caused the entire palace structure to shift under its own weight.

A massive crack in the floor and ceiling of the throne room rippled out with the same intensity as a thunderclap, one half of the floor falling several inches while the other rose the same length. Artistic fixtures on the walls and ceiling came crashing down, littering the uneven floor with even more debris.

Tyr gathered his equipment that had been left out from the battle the two had shared, he listened as Eina talked taking in her information before he softly sighed to himself, Silly girl, you are as naive as I believed this plan of yours is doomed to fail, we need to find another way to get these people to safety.

"You are a strong cabur but all you do is doom the people that you seek to protect. We will not stop because you have other Mandalorians within your ranks, if you are not with us, you stand against us. Mandalorians are more than willing to kill any that oppose their views, whether they follow our beliefs or not. We do need to move these people though, for the moment I see no better options until we can find a definitive location. This hilltop should keep them out of the most immediate fighting for the moment till we can gather some information on where best to move them."

Turning away the man moved to the entrance of the hilltop, the snow still falling against his beskar as he knelt against a rock pulling out his datapad. He looked around at the terrain that littered the immediate area, mayhap he could find an outcropping or cave or something that would provide a more definitive location for the pair to move those who were lying wounded in this makeshift aid station.

The more he searched the less he seemed to find, and what he could tell of the battle that was raging around him there was less good than naught of attempting to get them further out than their current location. The situation he seemed to have himself in was a two-sided coin where they needed to move the wounded but where they were was the most feasible spot till a more secure location could be procured.

Tyr let out a grunt as he walked back towards the warehouse, "Unless you know something I don't we are stuck here until we can find something better to work around with, the only thing that I can recommend we do is shore up some defensive posture with those who are well enough just in case things turn south"

He would protect.

With the Phase-Blade fanning between them Andras would feel it glance off the phrikite plates of Vornskr's armor and the songsteel shaft of her pike. He let the momentum of his backhanded swing continue, arcing it down and dipping it into the backswing so that the Phase-Blade escaped Zaudraka's touch and came out behind the cover of his right hip.

The Flying Knee as it was may have been a mistake.

The Dark Horse had felt a sense of success on impact knowing his propulsion had lift Darth Vornskr off her feet but she was grabbing onto his breastplate before the collision could separate the two of them. Andras knew how this might go if he did nothing though what he could do seemed minimal.

As she gripped his breastplate and swung him around to dash him onto the stairs he fought. No quarter was asked and none would be given.

At such close quarters Andras wasn't concerned with the Sithsword any longer, a large weapon like that would be awkward at best when both opponents were literally within contact of one another nor was his Phase-Blade in any better a position to strike. Reaching with his left hand as she began to swing him around Andras would try to plant it over faceplate.

Gripping hard the Mandalorian only had time to deploy the Palm Shooter integrated into the left hand of his armor once. The Dart it shot was standard, boasting an armor piercing tip as was fairly common when facing armored foes. No toxins though. Whether or not the Dart could penetrate Joycelyn Zambrano Joycelyn Zambrano 's armor was debatable but it should at least feel like taking a hammer to the face at such an extremely close range.

The Jet Pack ignited again too ensuring that steering was difficult for both Andras and Joycelyn. She'd still throw him down though the angle may not be entirely what she intended. Andras would actually hit the stairs and roll down them, landing at the bottom in a heap with his weapon still clutched in his right hand. He'd lay there a moment before beginning to push up....

"What the...."

...the metallic voice of his comms blurted out, the Friend/Foe Designator in his HUD was lighting up. He saw bodies beginning to jerk and writhe as they were reanimated in the black of the smoke. When one such body jerked upright close to him in the smoke he'd reach across and slam a heavy, armored fist into its jaw leaving the knuckle plates on his hand stained red.

He started to look for Vornskr again, wondering if she'd followed him down the stairs while sucking in a somewhat labored breath. An explosion rocked the Sanctum as well meaning it must have occurred nearby but at the present that was tertiary in Andras thoughts.

Sergeant Omen

Arc Trooper Sergeant of the 41st Elite Corps

Omen was ready to die, just not yet. As he turned on the Mechamiri Pack, a force bubble was created around the personal area around him, breaking him from the Witch's hold on him. It was then that the warrior heard something like a sawblade flying through the air around the corner and with a loud thunk, sank itself within Thonn's rotary cannon just as he got off the wall. This gave him enough time to dodge an incoming lightning bolt which left a black mark where his chest would have been seconds ago. This action however was considered mute when Thonn jetted past and unloaded both barrels of his slugthrower into the Witches head before not being able to spot an upcoming wall and crashing straight into it. Well, there goes so-called Mando jetpack superiority... The Witch couldn't comment, however. She didn't have a head to talk out of.

It was then that the warrior heard something like a sawblade flying through the air around the corner and with a loud thunk, sank itself within Thonn's rotary cannon. Well, this limited their opinions. The Clone was going to have to use his mind <"Thonn, I'm going to throw smoke. Charge in with your jet pack with this afterward and I'll support you from behind. Don't lose it, It's a memento from Courasant"> He tossed the dread blade over to the warrior before preparing a smoke grenade before letting Thonn jetpack in as he provided covering fire.

Omen radioed back to Kranak Vizsla Kranak Vizsla as Thonn charged the Enemy Commander, providing suppressive fire as needed and hoping his Mechamiri field extend enough to help even out the odds. <"A'den 6 to A'den Leader. We are close to the objective but are encountering enemy sithspawn, a company of "elite" house soldiers, and plenty of witch resistance. I know you don't have reinforcements to give out like candy but we could sure use some. If none are available we will push on to the end, whatever that may be. A'den 6 out."> With that he plunged through the smoke with his weapon raised, waiting to see what he saw beyond.

Between the two heavily armoured opponents, there were many a glancing blow that would have been fatal or debilitating to bare flesh or simple clothes. The very proximity of Zaudraka's supernaturally keen edge or the Mandalorian's phase blade was a hazard, but their phrik plates deterred most anything but the heaviest of blows.

That being said, neither was invulnerable.

The tricks of the Mandalorian paid off, as the projectiles went off at point blank. Sparks flew from the faceplate of her helmet as the dart skipped off the angled surface and chipped one of the eye-slits, yet failed to fully penetrate. Even so, the Sith's head whipped back from the blow. Along with the burst of his jetpack, she lost control of where she was dashing him. Her grip on his armour slipped, and she could taste the blood of her broken nose in the back of her mouth

Preternatural senses kicked in as the world turned around her, in the moments before her back impacted on the stairs, allowing her to make sense of her momentum and direction. The thermal lining of her armour did what it was made to do, and absorbed the worst of the shock, sparing her bones. She threw herself around and dug her heels into the stone as she tumbled, letting the momentum push her up to standing, yet the giant had to take extra steps to catch herself.

With the dazing pain surging through her face, it took everything she had not to fall again. But pain fuelled the dark side of the Force, and through the fuzzy feeling of her injuries Darth Vornskr found anger and hatred bubbling up within her. Her dark presence only expanded, as if it had been restrained, hidden and kept in check.

The edge of Zaudraka flashed with red fire, practically writhing in response to her smouldering anger.

Her foe punched one of the risen dead while the shrine shook and shifted from an explosion nearby. One of the many braziers suspended from the roof broke and tumbled to the ground, letting red fire spill across the stone floor. It illuminated parts of the black smoke, casting its fell light on the shadows of the risen dead and the acolytes that still lived. Those among the dead who did not recall how to use a weapon, or who succumbed to the most base rage, threw themselves recklessly against their foes.

Life and limb mattered little to the risen dead.

Vornskr reached out to the fallen brazier and moved her hand rapidly in the direction of Andras, launching it at him as she closed the distance, sithsword in hand. Explosions and aftershocks of the battle lit the room in sharp flashes of white, but the darkness never left its corners. Just as darkness never would leave Panatha.

Objective: Eliminate High Value Targets

Enemies: Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex | Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim

All the fighting seemed to converge on Carnifex; he was surrounded, and even though the Empress was marked for death all the same, Siv did not move to stop her from weakening their other target. Let them fight each other, and let them draw their own blood. Every blow marked for Carnifex is one less directed at us, he thought grimly.

The electrowhip wasn't incapacitating the Dark Lord -- not yet, at least. Carnifed had grabbed the whip that had coiled around the monstrous entity's left arm, and electricity coursed through the whip into the Sith's body. But the Sith was withstanding the pain, and tugged the cord with freakish might, throwing Siv into the air on a straight circular course to crash with Obran. If he hadn't seen the motion he would've been forced to disengage or take out his comrade, but Siv had been able to anticipate. Firing his jetpack in an angled burst, his body soared high above Obran before it came back down to land on the opposite side in a near semicircle.

Explosions rippled through the night, and the palace shook as Mandalorian and Sith clashed. Paintings and ancient tapestries fell or burnt, consumed by the fires that ravaged the capital.

Siv could feel a warm trickle of blood dripping his forehead down. Another battle, another scar. He snarled as he charged the Sith, the electrowhip still actively engaged, as he fired several times near point blank at the Sith with the disruptor pistol in his left vambrace. The Sith's armor was strong, but Siv was confident that if the destructive bolts landed, they would be able to disorient the Sith even if it didn't do any damage. Dodging in close to avoid an incoming blow, he grabbed the right arm of Carnifex and began to squeeze with his crushgaunt, intent on cracking the hardened plate under the pressure of the micronized beskar gauntlets.

"I hope your last words are better than that excuse of a King's," Siv spat, his helmet just inches away from the face of the Dark Lord. Now was the time for his brothers to strike, while the Sith was fully occupied by Siv.

Lyssa Io

The Daughter of Blades
The Fortress Nuetralizer finally arrived to the site of the complex to find devastation. Blood, gibs, and bodies littered the smoked, scorched site but there was still heavy fire and the Fortress Nuetralizer began firing mercilessly at whatever was still around to fire back. The Mandalorians defense had been hit hard but it still wasn't over. But there was only so much good Ted himself could do at this point.

Letting the Fortress Nuetralizer take the reigns of hammering the Mandalorians. Ted signalled his team to follow him back into the Complex, where a large hole had been blown leading to the interior.

"Hey!" Ted yelled out to the giant Fortress Nuetralizer. "Guard the front. Kill anybody except EE that tries to enter!

The Fortress Nuetralizer, showing visible damage in it's chassis, gave a thumbs up and fired a blast from it's Disruptor Cannons at something in the distance. It unleashed a blast of its rail guns at a Basilisk, then the full might of its sonic cannon on a squad of Mandalorians trying to get inside.

It took Multiple Rocket and tank rounds but refused to go down, refused to stop firing, it's dog like mind bent on pleasing its creator by demolishing as many as it could...

Ted and his team ventured into the ruined, bloody interiors, past the bodies of both his fellow citizens and plenty of bodies from House Io as well as bodies of Sirens...but also a lot of Mandalorian bodies also.

The Conjoined was at his side as he journeyed deeper.

"Ted, I think you're an absolute natural..." The Conjoined complimented. "If you survive, I'll be sure to watch your career with great interest..."

"Lady, I'm not sure why you would but a Witch watching me is nightmare fuel." Ted replied quietly. The shield generator... everything would be decided there...

He had reach it.

"Look at it this way, Ted. With a Brain Demon Cultist for a friend...who needs an enemy!?"

"Exactly my point." Ted replied, as the Fortress Nuetralizer provided covering fire for advancing EE forces, trying to draw as much aggro to itself as possible and give House Io's allies enough time to reinforce the interior.

Ted kept point, and fired his DC-15LE as soon as a Mandalorian appeared, keeping his finger on the trigger until he stopped moving.

"Why did they stop using these again?" Ted asked of his weapon as they encountered more heavy resistance.

"People just want that shiny new gun, even if there is a gun that does exactly what the shiny one does. I don't get it either..." The Conjoined confessed. "But it is fun to watch the enemy's chest explode regardless."

Ted ignored the latter opinion and focused on staying alive.

They suddenly came under fire fight, and the team was forced to duck behind cover, one of his soldiers, Richard, opening fire with the Magnetic Disruptor right along the rest of his survivors.

The Disruptor shots pierced the shields of a Mandalorian, breaking him and his gear down into a messy puddle as he died in pure agony.

More bolts, a thermal Detonator was thrown their way--deadly, in these confines--and The Conjoined barely managed to shut down it's Electronics with the Force and toss it away.

Ted kept firing in short controlled bursts, then charged up a shot on his rifle and fired, the heavy bolt slamming into a Mandalorian and knocking him down but not killing him.

A Force Breaker Grenade was tossed, and the Conjoined was not fast enough to catch or shut off its Electronics.

Everybody dived back as it went off. The Conjoined screamed, flesh shuddering and sloughing in a horrifying manner as she was temporarily cut off from the Force. Ted pulled back, grabbing her by the arm and dragging her to cover while the others kept firing with their Disruptors, now FAR more effective when there wasn't a lot of room for the enemy to dodge, the salvo of bolts hit two and broke them down.

"How do you like Class D, Motherfethers?!" one of his other surviving team members said, downing Another.

Dozens and dozens of blaster shots started to get sprayed their way and they were forced to give up their position, retreating down an alternate route to the Generators. Ted was still dragging The Conjoined as he fired, the one armed Medical Nuetralizer Amanda providing cover with her Ion Relic Pistol, piercing the visor of one shooting at her and downing him when the lethal accelerated Ion particles went through the Mandalorians eye.

Ted pulled the trigger and there was a click. Empty, at last.

It had served him pretty well, done a lot of damage. Why had they stopped using them, again?

He whipped out his Disruptor and fired, the aggravating four second wait between shots making him fear for his life.

It was a lethal, lethal weapon, this Magnetic Disruptor Carbine, but Yes felt it was best relegated to an Anti-Siege role. More defensive or support.

It was when he saw a fallen Assault Radiation Blaster that chit got intriguing.

He grabbed it, lamenting it's heavy nature, but it was much faster firing.

The deadly green bolts surged out of the rifle on Semi-Auto Mode, gradually chewing through strong shields (He had tried using that recharging Commando Pistol and it might as well have been gnat bites. Vendor Trash like the Commando Pistol is good for those NPC's like ten to fifteen XP, a piece, but your average Mandalorian's worth what, 500 to 700 at the very low end? If you're not using elite tier loot like a rail cannon or an automatic shotgun firing incendiary rounds or even a Sonic Disruptor by the time you encounter your first Mandalorian, you deserve, do to you hear me, deserve to be forced to reload an old save file when one of Star Wars answers to the Klingons reduces your HP to zero.

But if you don't have a Rail Cannon, at least have a grenade launcher. Even a simple single shot 40mm will do.

Ted's Radiation Blaster Bolts lanced towards the teams of Mandalorians, blasting apart cover, the way any cover his team had been blasted apart. They slammed into one Mandalorian, and burned through his shields rapidly, and completely contaminated his armor. Though his Beskar held against the attack, the armorweave did not. And even the Beskar had heated up enough against the impact point, burning him terribly.

Ted decided now was the time to use the 25mm grenade launcher. The one that had the 25mm radiation Grenade Rounds.

There were strict orders concerning these. Using the Radiation Grenades were to be done only when under overwhelming threat from massive numbers of enemies. They were lethal, but they would heavily contaminate the area they exploded in. They had not been given many for a reason. It was a "use only in desperation". An accident at one of the factories Xiphos controlled had left them with only the radioactive rounds to use.

Ted figured that this was a moment of desperation.

Ted pressed the second trigger...and a burst of static from the side of the grenade rifle had him cursing. It had been damaged. Chit.

Ted ducked a cannon type bolt that brought down part of the ceiling behind them, still firing. 40 shots left.

The Disruptor Bolts turned another to beat slag while the Mandalorians were momentarily forced to take cover while Ted kept firing, even as the sparks from his grenade launcher continued. Amanda took aim at a Grenade on a belt.

The blast brought down the ceiling above her enemies, killing the Mandalorians.

Ted looked over at The Conjoined, who writhed on the ground, flesh still writhing with her. They seemed to have really done a number on her.

"Will she make it? Ted asked Amanda.

"We have to get that Force Breaker Crap out of her system...but this is not the place to do it..." Amanda said.

"We can't leave here..."

"We can if we wish to preserve the Generator. Everything rides on it." Amanda said.

Ted pulled out his canteen and poured the water all over the bubbling Witch,

"Your Canteens, open them, now!" Ted ordered.

The soldiers all opened their canteens and poured it, getting the residue off the Witch.

The Flesh eventually reset and The Conjoined stood up, humiliated.

"I'm going to kill these Bastards..." she swore. Amanda injected the Witch with a number of anti toxins just in case.

"Ted...it's all or nothing now..." Richard told him.

Ted nodded in agreement. He pulled out his Comlink.

"This Citizen Forrest to all surviving Citizens: Hit Time, Hot Time, Hit Time."

The Code Phrase was sent out. All surviving Citizens were to converge on the Generator and kill any Mandalorians present as quickly and as aggressively as possible. The whole place was an abbatoir at this point. Ultranauts would start to join with them, and all the surviving Sirens did also, coming from multiple angles in the facility.

"How many Witches are left alive?" Ted asked.

"Me included? Three." The Conjoined answered...

"Time to trigger the Last Trap..." Ted said

The Cultist reached out to her Fellow Witches, the last two not quite near the Generator or Auxillary.

They made sacrifices if blood and the final giant magical booby trap was sprung, as surviving House Up Platoon members fired mercilessly at Mandalorians they encountered.

This trap was one designed to do one thing.

To slow the enemy.

It would induce a magical series of localized gravity swells near the enemy, which would hopefully cause their movements to become extremely slow, with only those who had great physical strength to move better than the others.

It had been estimated as highly likely that the Mandalorians would reach the interior. In the event the Generators were to be overrun, this last trap would be triggered, when they really had committed and got deep.

No House Citizen or their EE allies would be affected, but any Mandalorians were in severe danger now. Between the risen dead, the monsters in the portal, all the pissed off Ultranauts and House Citizens, and the Medical Nuetralizers, they had their work cut out for them.

Mandalorians began to slow down physically everywhere, finding it a struggle to keep moving. This moment of slowness was costly, and fatal, as the surviving platoon members the undead and the monsters calm converged in a ravenous swarm of teeth, claws, Ultranauts going full Hulkamania, and blasters, Mandalorians started dropping like flies, the sudden surge of vicious aggression and their own magically slowed movements resulting in a Blood Bath. Ted found himself fighting alongside Ultranauts, Mandalorian Zombies and his own kin in the surge, swarming over Mandalorian aggressors and chopping them down with his Citizen Energy Sword. Some managed to get shots off. But a lot were being shot to pieces or ripped apart., squads of Zombies and Citizens and Portal demons heading quickly to Runi Kuryida Runi Kuryida to try and butcher her, while others overpowered a bunch of Mandalorians like a swarm of piranhas. The members of House Io fight ferociously, and often to the death, for even a slowed Mandalorian us still a Mandalorian.

The Auxiliary Generator only shuddered and took a mild dent on a metal part but was otherwise unharmed by the rocket attack Kom'rk had used, and this allowed a number of House Io Citizens, Zombies and Ultranauts to advance frighteningly close to his squads position, engaging in violently combat with any Mandalorian near by in the shock assault, some Mandalorians getting gunned down or run through.

That's when Kom'rk got a surprise...

Floor Plates lifted up and a Medical Nuetralizer firing from partial cover lifted up deadly DLT-20 Heavy repeating blaster and opened fire on his exposed position, two other House Citizens, still underneath the floor plating setting off the shaped Concussion Mines Kom'rk and his Squad had stepped over...

Hopefully the plating would muffke the beeps and let the ambush team catch at least a few of them, but even if it didn't, they were popping out of the floor plating themselves, firing their Radiation Blasters

Meanwhile, the platoon still guarding the main generators had spent up to their very last minutes setting up every trap possible. They manned shielded positions and behind sand bags, waiting for any hostiles. They had chosen weak, shaped mines, whose blast would go upward, to avoid any possibility of damaging the Generators.

Multiple squads began to converge on the location of Sergeant Omen Sergeant Omen and Thonn Rokkal Thonn Rokkal , intent on intercepting them, and firing as soon as they spotted them...

Meanwhile...

The problem with dealing with a Nanite Assassin Droid, it turned out, was trapping them.

The energized Spider Silk from Domina Prime Domina Prime barely affected Lyssa, whose surface only supplied as it took in the dnergy, and no amount of clingwire could hold her, as her Nanites simply flowed past and over it, silvery, razor sharp bladed tendrils lashing out at both Mandalorian and whatever the hell the other creature was, even as her own arm blades extended and lashed out in a groin attack at Kranak Vizsla Kranak Vizsla , the tendrils lashing out for his weapons, trying to ensnare them or damage them, her other arm blade lancing out to try and stab the spider creature through its eye...
