Bloodstain For Your Pain

Kail stood after taking a kidney hit from one of the humans he wasn't aware of, stretching his arms and watching the duo flee.

"Not waste our time." He dismissed them as quick as they had arrived. "So what's your history? Seem to handle yourself ok in a scrape."

He moved and perched himself on a low lying wall, rubbing his side gently. Kail watched the knife in her hand, she even held that like an expert. Looking over to the square, it seemed no-one had batted an eyelid at the chaos that had just unfurled.

"So what - you a soldier or something? You seem...pretty, to be a soldier. But you know how to handle things."

"I'm a slave turned Mandalorian by those whom rescued me so I guess you could say I know how to handle myself." Anastasia shrugged slightly as she put the knife in her back pocket for safe keeping. She never really thought of herself as a warrior or solider of any kind until now. It was what she was training to be so she guessed the fact that someone was recognizing it was good.

What she tried to hide but seemed to fail at a lot was hiding her beauty. Everyone told her she was pretty. The only thing being pretty ever did for her was get the young woman in trouble. "So we either find more scum to beat up on or we could get some more drinks and dance the night away. I hear clubbing is fun."

The last thing she wished to do was stand around and devolve her history. She just didn't like talking about such things with anyone. It wasn't him or anything. Sighing she leaned against the way.

Kail stood up and patted his neck where it was starting to ache from the fight. He would rather spend more time with the girl and blur the night away because that was the only escape he seemed to get. What would tomorrow bring? More pain? More attempts at trying to better himself?

He pointed back to the bar.

”How about a few more rounds. I think there is plenty more left before throwing out time. Mhm? What do you say?”

Kail stood up, a little light on his feet, and placed his arm around her neck.

”Don’t worry, I’ll protect you from scum trying to slave you again. I’m good at protecting people, and then getting beaten for it.”

The scars on his jaw seemed to burn as a reminder of his past mistakes. Kail turned and leant in to kiss the girl on the cheek before starting to walk away from the dark street back towards the city plaza and the bar.

She had taught herself how to protect herself from being enslaved once again. It was part of the reason she stayed with the Mando's and didn't go live on some farm somewhere to be at peace. There were times however that made her wonder if she had made the right choice.

"Another couple of rounds sounds good. I even bet I can drink you under the table." She wasn't normally the touchy feely type of person and human contact made her shiver but for right now it felt good to be wanted, needed.

"I know this nice little pub over there," she pointed to her left as she began walking with him. The place she was thinking was quiet and out of the way plus wasn't that far away.

She didn't know what would happen to her tomorrow but for tonight she just wanted to sit back and have some fun. The woman would worry about her "future" later.

She lead them in the direction that she pointed to.

"We are here," she grinned putting her hands up in the air. The booze were beginning to wear off. She needed so tequila or something to keep her going.

Kail held his hand out and let the girl guide him forward, all the while his arm around her neck like a prize he owned, showing her off to the eyes around him – although they were more eyes of disgust and worry at the state he looked to be in, dressed in dangerous looking mercenary clothing.

”Allow me, my dear.”

Moving his hand down to her waist, he held her and took her into the new inn she had found for them, and it just looked like the others – be it a little smaller and quieter.

Pushing his way forward to the bar, past a drunk Jawa, Kail pulled Anastasia to his side and held out his hand to the barman, already busy with orders.

”A bottle of your strongest spirt good man, when you’re ready, over here!”

Kail patted his hands on the bar and turned to the girl.

”This will do us I think. Now, am I going to see you again after tonight or are you…flying away to the stars never to be found again…hm?”

She followed him half tipsy herself to the next bar not minding his hand around her neck. It was fun to have fun sometimes and to just not think. Thinking at night especially seemed to only complicate things and bring out the night terrors.

Taking a seat at the already crowded bar beside him Anastasia couldn't help but just shake her head at his question. She wasn't sure how to answer that.

"Nope, I consider this planet my home." Before she could say more the bartender set down the bottle along with two glasses.

Popping the top she began again. "Don't worry though," she stated as she began to pour them each a glass. "I won't be shocked if I never hear from you again after tonight."[\color]

She had accepted at least that much of herself. Ana was the girl you drank with and laughed with but nothing more. It didn't mean they couldn't have a fun time here and make the most of it.

"Cheers," she grinned holding up her glass.
