Bombshell Genius
"Distraction... distraction... that's why I'd rather have ion munitions to lead the assault: while ionic payloads could spread in the air, it's still much less dangerous than conventional explosives. However, a boarding team's window of opportunity would then be short and, given the description you gave us of what's known about the capabilities of this walker, we have to position ourselves accordingly for assault, depending on how the enemy's firepower is laid out. It might turn like a brick, so just about anything can outmaneuver it. And yet, this reactive system would likely be drained given intense, prolonged attacks"
If I can make even the most foolhardy Sith generals think twice, the Pius Dea can perhaps stand a chance against the Sith in the short run. In fact, from what is currently known about who's at the top of the Sith command structure, anybody with any actual command-level competence would, she thought, while hearing about how [member="Allyson Locke"] would plan on disabling the behemoth, as well as [member="Elijah King"]'s description of past attempts that brought Jessica and [member="Kiso"] here. Plus that was the reason why she would not commit the lighter stuff until the mobility kill has been scored. Then and only then she could lure the occupants in an ambush, especially since a poodoo-load of ion fire detonating inside the walker would perhaps cause significant systems damage to it, provided, of course, that the 380mm HVC rounds would, in fact penetrate. If they don't penetrate, on the other hand, firepower kills would be more likely, and any other system present on the outer hull. And the shields could trigger the tandem charges in those 380mm HVC ion rounds upon contact. Also Jessica's fingers were crossed and that any reconnaissance of the target would show arc-based weaknesses; it would simply mean that the blind spots are key for deployment then. And her eyes perked up when she heard someone else suggest some variation on what she did in the Rift campaign.
"If there are some sewers, or some other pipes large enough for sappers, underneath the walker's projected path, perhaps sappers could use them to plant explosives there; it may have worked in the Rift campaign, against the Primeval's tracked vehicles, just that we need to blow a hole in the walker just big enough to let a boarding team in. Honestly if the demo teams could reach a joint and then plant the charges there, it would be a huge boon, but they will have to fight tooth-and-nail inside even in the best case scenario. I also understand we are asking sappers to perform a dangerous mission, and that some may not come back. I still feel it's a necessary sacrifice to save a planet"
