Bound by Blood [PM for invite]

The gift came as a surprise, but with it Anja could get a grasp of why their company had such a reputation. "A pleasure, then.", she said softly. It was quite something , really, she had little hopes of concluding a deal so easily but indeed she underestimated [member="Alric Kuhn"] ; she didn't believe that Titan Industries would necessarily provide her with the means as many around her have failed just that.

"This is an arrangement most acceptable.", she added, "In return to your gift, please, scout out any surrounding territory as it will soon be ours, I'm sure you might find a world worth basing out of.", she was not versed in business but she could only assume this is how they always felt when a good deal was made.

(Per the scouting part, feel free to choose between Anirc and Rysil II, as those are the two non-capital planets we claimed in our app; if you wanted to create a regional HQ out here: Gulamendis just doesn't really have err logistics with the constant murders)

He smiled, and then rose from the cushion.

There was work to be done, and by her own admission Anja was not the type of woman that enjoyed small talk or sitting around. She would appreciate Alric setting to work on a ship as soon as he set off here, and that was what he was going to do. He smiled at her, then held out a hand palm to her, an old Empress Tetan tradition.

“I shall set my company on the tasks disgust. Expect the first designs in three days times.” That would be that, all she had to do was lay her palm in his, and the deal would be sealed.

Once again Titan Industries grew.

(I'll PM you the carrier sub sometime this week so you can see if its to your liking :))

This new gesture was quite odd to her, almost enough to make her forget the fact he was so thorough as to offer her a design in three days time. She emulated his gesture, her hand palm touching his.

Again the guards become on edge, but retracted the moment she complied to his little gesture, unknowing of what great meaning it may have had to others.

"Three days, indeed?", she left a small half-smile at the thought before pulling her hand away.

She walked back to a door opposite his end, "I underestimated you. It proves to me again and again how little I seem to know.", she added. Such a hint of humble honesty wasn't normal for her. It seemed as if her contact with the outside in such a way -- not Sith Lords or torture victims -- that it brought her a sense of longing for a true social atmosphere, not that she was the social type, but it did give her thoughts of how truly colourful everything was. You just needed the eyes for it.

“We all know less than we think” He spoke carefully, not meaning to insult, but simply to philosophize. “I learn something new on a daily basis. Though such is life when one is surrounded by people that are smarter than he.”

Whether he was being modest or genuine was difficult to tell.

Alric Kuhn seemed like a man that was much smarter than he let on, such was the curse of a man in his position. The owner of three major companies, two of which were spread across the galaxy and serviced hundreds of thousands of people every single day. One had to play a certain personality in order to survive.

“If you require anything Anja, I am one call away.” He smiled at her, but decided not to wink. From the way those guards were looking at him such a thing would likely get him killed. Instead he gave his most winning grin, then turned to leave.

For now their business was concluded, at least until the designs of the new ship were complete.
