Orders of magnitude bigger than the companies you and I are currently working with." She shrugged fluidly. "Unless you have a reason to believe you can turn Chandrilan agriculture and tech imports into a multi-sector empire, and I expect you do. But even a good plan needs capital. Me, I arranged a bank loan through a very high-placed contact -- I could put you in touch with him."

"Strategy doesn't necessarily go hand in hand with the resources available too us. I'd appreciate any help you could offer." Alicia wiped her mouth with a napkin. "Is there anything else to discuss?"

"I don't believe so." Selka cleaned her spoon a final time and laid it down. She beckoned for the bill, then refocused on Drey. "A pleasure to meet you, Alicia, and I'll be sure to keep you informed as I go forward. Thanks for your time, and the invite to Sojourn. I'll be sure to drop by and meet with Emeritus when you have the time."

These things always ended blandly. Maybe that was her fault.

Alicia paid for her breakfast, before rising up to her feet. She nodded to Selka and smiled. "I'll be sure to drop you a message when our next meeting is scheduled. Good luck. Thanks for the breakfast. See you next time." She then turned and exited the cafe, making her way back to the Niathal before setting course for the Kesh system.
