Shuklaar Kyrdol
CEO of Breshig War Forge Consolidated
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Necessity being the mother of invention, the Saurtya, or whisper in basic, was designed to streamline the manufacturing process for starfighters, bombers and gunships manufactured by Breshig War Forge consolidated. Knowing that the engines for the upcoming Kyr'galaar Stealth Multi-role Fighter and Jai'galaar Fighter-Bomber had to be stealthy, and that given the shift to mobile manufacturing facilities the process had to be as streamlined as possible, Shuklaar personally put together a team from the R&D team working on both projects and put them to work on developing an engine system that could do everything they needed, but one that could also be sold later if necessary.
What the team came up with was the Sarutaya. Where they started with was ensuring that the new engine would have the reliability that Mandalorians products were known for, and for this reason they spared no expense with the materials used, using even the exotic and expensive condensed-matter composite to reduce the effect of ion drive vibrations on the other components and on the space frame of the ships that it is mounted in. An Agrinium mesh kept radiation emitted from the engines from escaping the frame and leaking out and as an added bonus gave the engines additional protection from EMP/Ion weapons, protection that was augmented by a cap drain and combat de-ionizer. The engine's Duranium frame was strong enough to keep the engine intact inside a housing, providing limited protection from solid projectile and energy weapons, which is precisely why it is highly recommended that the engine is always mounted inside the hull or a housing rather than being externally mounted.
The Durinium covered vectrals, IR suppressors and thrust trace dampeners give the engine a very low sensor profile, and at longer ranges it is very unlikely that the engines will be detected. At closer ranges, this has the added advantage of making the engines difficult to lock onto. The integrated repulsorlifts and scramjet booster give the engines considerable thrust in atmosphere, potentially allowing incredible atmospheric speeds for whatever craft it is mounted on even without deflector shields on. These features make the engine very versatile, and not only streamline the production process for Breshig War Forge Consolidated but also gives potential buyers a one stop solution for many of their needs when putting together a starfighter, or an extremely powerful engine for those in the market for an upgrade. Of course, Breshig War Forge Consolidated's ship modification division offers discounts on fitting all company products.
Unfortunately, there are a few notable issues with the engine. For one, the engine is very large, and cannot be fitted into small compact fighters because of its size. Another issue is that given the complexity of the engine, while it is indeed very reliable, should something happen to it, repairs will be extremely difficult and requires specialist tools that aren't usually found in most field repair kits. Because of this, retrofitting the engine onto a craft is extremely difficult given the number of subsystems that need to be integrated into the craft's controls. Finally, while considerably effective, the stealth features of the engine cannot mask the signature if the engine's SLAM system is activated.
- Intent: To create a low sensor profile engine for small craft for the use of Mandalorians and select others.

- Manufacturer: Breshig War Forge Consolidated
- Affiliation: Breshig War Forge Consolidated, Mandalorians, Closed-Market
- Model: 'Sarutaya' Low Profile Engine
- Modularity: No
- Production: Minor
- Material: Duranium (frame, some internal parts), Agrinium mesh, Dallorian alloy, Duravlex, Condensed-matter composite, Durinium (outside of the vectrals), electronics, heat sink(s), dual stream thruster component, scramjet booster, atmospheric thruster, fuel converter (scoop), SLAM, IR Suppressor, vectral(s), thrust trace dampener, repulsorlift(s) and combat de-ionizer.
- All in One: Integrates main engines, stealth engines, specialist atmospheric engines, repulsorlift(s) and a SLAM system into a single system.
- Advanced Diagnostic Systems: The engine is equipped with advanced diagnostic suites that monitor its various systems for malfunction, and are able to diagnose the underlying issue with relative ease.
- Tibanna-X: The engines can burn Tibanna-X to reduce the craft's visibility on sensors to an even greater degree.
- Stealthy: With an IR suppressor, vectrals and a thrust trace dampener the signature of the engines is extremely minimal. At long ranges, it is barely detectable, and at short ranges it makes locking onto the engine signature with missiles all the more difficult.
- Versatile: Negating the need for a separate repulsor engine while integrating a scramjet booster and a SLAM system as well as stealth features, the engine is incredibly versatile. Small craft it is mounted on need not install secondary repulsor systems, and the scramjet booster and SLAM give them the ability for sudden bursts of speed in atmosphere or in space.
- Powerful: Compared with other engines on the market, the Sarutaya is very powerful, capable of propelling most craft at great sublight and atmospheric speeds.
- Efficient: The dual stream thruster component and the fuel scoop allow for fuel reserves to last for far longer.
- Reliable: Despite the inherent complexities involved with the engine, it is still largely very reliable, and will take some abuse before it fails.
- Purpose Built: Fitting the engine into craft that aren't purpose built with these engines in mind is incredibly difficult given the number of systems that need to be correctly integrated into the craft's control systems.
- Internal: While the engine is well protected from damage inside a craft or housing, external exposed mounting will expose many fragile components of the engine.
- Difficult Repairs: Because of the very many subsystems, the engine can be difficult to work on should a component actually fail. Additionally, specialized tools are required, meaning that field repairs with basic tools are basically impossible.
- Stealth, Not Cloak: The stealth features of the engine
- Large: Fighters that are smaller than average will be unable to fit this engine on board, limiting it to fighters of average size and larger.
- SLAM or Stealth: Utilizing the SLAM system will render all of the dampening features of the engine useless and will most certainly show the fighter up on scanners.
