"...don't forget I cheered you up~" she tried with a sheepish smile. Of course, she was going to love every bit of their flight back and the evening they'd spend together. But that dangerous grin on his face was one she knew not to underestimate. After all these years with him, she understood what it meant without him needing to explain it.

"No more dallying. Come along, love."

"Fine, fine. I'm coming," She took his hand and followed him out of his office, and down the turbolift. They'd have to pass through much of the Temple to get to the Bastion, so along the way, she acted like they were just on a little walk together. It wasn't uncommon for the two Nobles to be spotted hand-in-hand, after all.

She just had to keep the grin off her face.

"Oh I almost forgot, but our wedding anniversary is coming up! You uh... would you like to do something for it together?"

"Oh we're going to be doing something together for sure." He smirked playfully, glancing towards her before looking ahead again. Their anniversary, huh? That's what she was trying to use to distract him from what he was planning to do next? He just squeezed her hand.

"You should focus on the now, though, love."

"Really? I'm looking forward to it! We'll come up with something together and-"

"You should focus on the now, though, love."

Crap, even now he saw right through her. While she was genuine about wanting to do something with just the two of them for their anniversary, it had also been a very tactical move to bring it up now. An attempt to distract him from the chaos she had unleashed against his desk. But as always, he knew her better than anybody else.

"I'm very focused on it, love," she lied with a sheepish smile, right as they entered the hangar area. Valery let the ramp of the Bastion come down and stepped inside and the second the ramp was back up and they were in private, she turned and pushed him back against the wall with a grin. Valery then snaked her way up against him and offered a gentle kiss, though one she allowed to longer.

Another distraction, for sure.

"See? Very focused on the now."

The moment she turned to him Kahlil had already stepped forward to pick her up from the ground with a way more dangerous grin than before. He barely returned the kiss before heading deeper into the ship, casually carrying her all the while.

"Very focused indeed. Now.. Let's see how focused you are now."

The moment he picked her up, Valery laughed out loud and wrapped her arms around his neck to hold him close. She knew there was no way to get around what she had done to his office, but it was far too much fun not to try. Now she laughed in defeat and placed her head gently on his shoulder with a loving sigh.

This made her feel amazing.

"It's too late to ask for mercy now, hm?" Valery asked as they walked deeper into the ship. "Well, I suppose I'll have to be good..."

"So... anywhere specific you want to go?" Valery asked, still breathing heavier while she lay in bed on her back, with the sheets covering her. Long strands of hair were glued to her sweaty face and she couldn't stop grinning.

"We could take one of those romantic cruises, visit any planet we like, or go camping somewhere...." She chuckled as an abundance of options flooded her mind.

"Most important to me though, is that I'm with you."

"We've gone around and done quite a bit, though usually it involved some sort of problem or fight or some kind of issue." Kahlil hummed in thought, idly leaned back on his hands on the edge of the bed. If he was being honest, he had no idea what normal people went on vacation for. Asides from their beach trips, anyway. They couldn't go there again though, could they?

"A cruise is kind of like a beach, right?"

Valery snickered and rolled over until she was right on top of him. Her head came to rest against his chest and her hand idly traced circles over it, whilst occasionally following the patterns of the various scars on his chest.

Getting scars sucked but she'd be lying if she claimed they didn't make him look even hotter.

"We really seem to make even leisure time about helping people, huh?" She sighed and knew that it wasn't going to be a thing this time. Valery loved birthdays, anniversaries and remembering big moments in their lives together.

It'd make her really happy to celebrate this one with him, without disturbances.

"Well, cruises do have pools and things you'd find on a beach. But also fun activities and special shows they organize. They take you down a route with plenty of amazing things to see and..." she stopped when she realized she was rambling.

"Cruise could be fun, yeah. If you want to go on one with me too? Just...if you draw comparions to the beach again, maybe we need to bring along some, uh, contraceptives." She looked at him with a huge smirk.

"Unless you just want to roll the dice, of course~"

"We've never bothered with contraceptives before. We're not about to start." Kahlil snickered, glancing over his shoulder to her with a faint smile. Reached up to touch her cheek and pull her into a soft kiss.

"But, yes. Let's get ourselves a cruise."

Valery was about to laugh when he leaned over and placed a hand against her cheek to pull her into a soft kiss. She leaned into it and let it linger a moment longer than perhaps excited, "Fine, but if I get pregnant, you will be on diaper duty." She laughed against his lips and rolled entire on top of him for some cuddling.

It was something she loved - not having to worry about anything and just be in his arms.

"I'll get the cruise arranged and plan some activities. The other activities...we won't need to plan." She smirked and let her lips brush against his for another kiss.

"Mine~" she then whispered.

"I think that's a fair trade off."

Kahlil smiled a little smugly as he squeezed her close. Smirked after a second as he returned the brief kiss.

"Always, love. Mine too though."

"Hmm, mine more."

She knew it sounded silly or perhaps a bit childish, but the smirk on her face showed just how much she loved to mess around. To make it clearer, she rolled over and sat on top of him, hands placed on his chest while she let her long hair annoyingly fall into his face to tickle his nose and get it against his lips.

Of course, all on purpose.

"Let's make it a long cruise, alright?" she then asked with big, pleading eyes. The kind that Vera tried to use all the time for snacks or watching shows past bedtime. "I always feel like by the time I really start to relax, our vacations are already over again. This might be our last chance before... you know.."

"We can't make it endless, but we can make it as long as you'd like." Kahlil smiled softly as he touched her cheek and stroked it with his thumb. "You're letting way too much stress you out though. We've got this all handled."

"I'm not saying endless..." Valery said with a playful pout while she let her hands shift over his bare chest, "Just... long enough?" she shrugged and closed her eyes for a moment while she leaned into the hand that settled against her cheek. The warmth, the comfort and affection she felt was soothing to the mind.

He always had a way of making her calm and keeping her grounded.

"Really? Is it that bad?" She smiled sheepishly. "I'm sorry if it's frustrating, I'm really trying to just relax but... I don't know." She sighed and looked at him with a difficult smile.

"...I'm really glad we're taking this time together. I think I need it more than I realized."

"It's worrying more than anything. You've been through so much just in the last war alone, and I imagine it's wearing down on you." He gently started to run his hand through her hair, smiling softly. "If you need to lean on me, you always can love. But don't forget you're the most badass Jedi of this age and your own."

Valery had been sitting on top of him, but as she listened to him and realized how much he understood her situation, she smiled and pushed out her lower lip a little. Almost as if she was about to cry, but there were no tears and she wasn't sad — he was just too sweet.

Valery then lowered herself to lie down on him, her head resting on his chest. She felt the hand go through her hair and her breathing slowly calmed down completely while she hugged him close.

"The most badass Jedi, hm?" Her smile brightened and she squeezed him a little tighter. "I appreciate it, love and I'm so happy I have someone like you to lean on. You're the best husband, father and... you're a kind-of-cool Jedi too, you know~" she said the last part obviously to tease and looked up at him with a smirk.

"I look forward to this cruise with you." She pushed herself up closer to his face, and pressed her lips against him for one more kiss before they'd have to get up and actually do something with the day.

"I'm pretty cool." Kahlil raised a hand, idly making a puff of snow to fall around them for a moment before he just chuckled. Stood on his own to get up and follow her in getting dressed. "But I am looking forward to the cruise, all the same. It'll be fun, I imagine."

"Very clever," Valery snickered but as soon as she felt the snow on her bare shoulders and neck, she shivered and squinted. Making her cold was definitely a good way to get her moving, so she stood up and shot him a quick wink.

"You imagine? We always have fun on our trips." She stoppes in front of the closet with her clothes and reached over to take his hand and squeeze it. "I heard the kids are preparing gifts for us, too." She chuckled at the idea. She would never expect anything from her kids except for good behavior, but it made her feel very warm inside that they were wanting to make their parents happy.

"It's going to be amazing."

"It will be, but only because you'll be there."

Kahlil chuckled just a little more as he squeezed her hand in turn. It was nice to know the kids were already planning a gift for them, though how she knew had him raise a brow. Was she the one now able to see the future? He just smugly grinned, but didn't bother to elaborate why. She already knew.

"When do we leave?"

Valery smirked, "Very smooth today, are we?" She teased before she turned to the closet and decided to pick out her Epicanthix dress. Both because she liked it and to mess with him some more - it was one of his favorites, after all.

After putting it on, she shook out her hair and turned to him with a gaze perhaps a little too smug.

"I'll book tickets today, so maybe in a few days? A week max, so we have time to get anything we need and prepare babysitters." She walked over to assess his choice of clothing and helped him straighten out his shirt a little.

"Let's bring your suit and I'll bring a dress too. So on the anniversary day itself, we can dance and relive our little moment a bit, hm?"

Kahlil reached up to boop her forehead before chuckling.

"But I'm glad you already have it planned out so well."
