It was sooner than Sethrak had expected. It seemed he wouldn't need to face whatever was holding his forces back. A shame, but it meant the Bryn had completed their objectives and were ready to go. This was good.
He deflected a few shots from a nearby group of soldiers that had somehow been overlooked by the advancing troops. Looking them in the eye he simply walked toward them, deflecting the few shots that came near him. Now within striking range he cut them down with ease. They were worthless....weak...and this was why the Bryn'adul were here. The weak deserved to die, it was natural, and the creatures defending this planet had defied nature for too long.
Then The First Warlock raised his communication stone, speaking to his troops, "We are finished. End your engagement and return to our drop site. We will wait there for our transports. Use your explosives now, if you haven't yet."
This would be the final stage of the battle. They would hold their position as the gunships returned to pick them up. It should go smoothly...the enemy was on the defensive, and was in no shape to counter attack, surely. Even if they countered, The Bryn would no doubt hold them off, and then there was the arrival of the gunships that would deal catastrophic damage to any of the attackers. Indeed, this fight was all but won.
