Alliance engineers were still crawling all over the place, installing and testing technology, but Chief of State Jaius Sovv no longer had the luxury of waiting for them to finish or bringing in additional labor. Even now, they were being hunted. Both Sith and Imperial agents were scouring the galaxy for this precise location, but so long as they kept the circle to only their most trusted allies, the true patriots and holdouts, they should be safe from the Dark Lord's eyes for now.

"Still no word from Commodore Stazi?" he asked the Mon Calamari officer standing across the holodisplay from him, "Commander?"

"Hm? Sorry, sir," acting captain Bashir of the ANS Hereafter apologized, he had been lost in thought, "None yet. He'll make the rendezvous though, I'm certain."

"I hope you're right, for all our sakes."

"Forgive me, Chief Sovv," the polar Mon Cal looked almost abashed, "Is there anything I can do to help here?"

"Not unless you have a pressing need to make yourself useful," Jaius said after mulling the question over, "Too few of us made it, but we have personnel assigned to our most critical needs already. Your Core Fleet is already patrolling the sector for local threats. If you can spare them, we could use some of your comm officers to help our engineers restore our long range transmission array so we can contact our allies in Silver Jedi space and the Republic Remnant. There is also a team of Jedi, researchers and scientists exploring the ancient city ruins in the forest above us."

"Sounds like you're already busy," Bashir nodded appreciatively, "I'll leave you to it then, I should see to my ship and her crew."

"I trust I will see you later at the memorial ceremony?" Jaius called out after the commander.

"Count on it."

The old Sullustan sighed. With that bit of business taken care of, there was no longer any avoiding this next task ahead.

"[member="Coren Starchaser"]," his voiced echoed throughout the base over a recently installed PA system, "Report to central command."

Flexing the new arm, the Jedi Master was looking around. The Galactic Alliance was a place that many people had called home. And now they were pulled away from their homes, Sullust, Coruscant, and all the worlds in between. Following the strikes on Coruscant, the Master had been taken prisoner by the Sith. And until the rescue from the Jedi Praxium, he had been out of contact. Following that though, he was brought back to D’Qar. It was nice to see the Prax doing the work the galaxy needed from the Jedi.

Even now, the Jedi Master was sitting with the Jedi who had made it, once who had sat on the council, and had sought him out. He was listening to the discussion and nodded.

“I agree, we need to do some work here. I am sending a team of Jedi researchers into the groups that are surveying the city. Our Jedi are going in plain clothes. Following the situation on Coruscant not everyone is excited for the Jedi to be joining the ranks again.” The Mirialan stated. Coren nodded.

“We are going to need to approach that with care.” Coren replied. “That and people serving in the Sector Forces. Having one Jedi goes a long way, but after everything…” He shrugged and looked between the gathered. “We can’t be out in public all the time. We need to make sure we can support the Jedi and our Fringers as best as we can.”

Other Jedi and Fringe representatives were speaking, as the announcement came over the intercom.

“Ok, keep me informed with what is going on. Chief is calling me.” The Jedi got up, adjusted his jacket, not the one that [member="Romi Jade"] had stolen, but another. Making his way to central command, the former Commander and current Jedi Master snapped to attention.

“Hello Chief Sovv.” Coren was always a bit more mellow than the rest.

Commodore Sykkla was standing on the bridge of the ANS Spear of the Alliance. The small fleet was moving through the Ileenium System and taking its time in identifying the hyperspace routes. The Outer Rim Coalition was doing their job to provide what assistance they could, but the Alliance had their own people who wanted to make sure the data was logged properly. It was more back up to the data delivery.

Send Blue and Green Squadron. I want them to be ready in case anything comes after us. Move the Corvettes into holding patterns around the Defender. We are working creating rally points locally. This can give us some points to deliver more people and we can quarantine other ships.

The Duros bridge officer saluted. Tiburons were, like some of the Rogues, on D’Qar. “Also, sir, reports from Alliance Intelligence are coming through. More diplomats are arriving every day. We are going to have to locate the ships and escort them planetside.”

Task Blue Squadron with that when the arrivals happen.

The ANS Starchild and a flotilla of Alliance Navy vessels dropped out of hyperspace a system away from D'qar. An Admiral was rallying the ships and taking note of who was where, sending that data back to D'qar. Captain Pryce and several other officers from various ships huddled into U-wings, leaving small crews behind to watch the ships while they were away. D'qar was only a short jump away but the U-Wings were escorted by a mix of squadrons from various ships including Rogue Squadron. The X-wings, Fang fighters, and Crossfires flew in defensive positions and brought them to land at the secretive base.

Butterflies filled his stomach as he watched from the viewport ships from a dozen different battlegroups dropped out of hyperspace. Was this all that was left of the Alliance?

Starchild personnel en route to D'Qar from nearby system
~Fighter escort for U-wings
O7IzWjD.png
As the group from the ANS Starchild reverted to real space, this all looked familiar. Rogue Five had been to D'Qar just a short time ago to recon the Ileenium system for the top brass. It hadn't taken long before the planet was designated as the Alliance-in-Exile's base of operations. With the world's remoteness off any major hyperlane routes and the natural camouflage afforded by the asteroid field nearby, it was as good of place to house a hidden rebel base that already had the structural means on the ground to accommodate them with updated improvements of course to fit their needs.

The mixed-vessel starfighters escorting the Starchild's U-wings carrying the ship's captain along with other crew members selected did a flyover of the base as the transports landed safely in the tight-for-space airfield, then Goldie circled back around and set down her TR-20 X-wing on its repuslorlifts with well practiced ease in between two of their transports.

A snarky tootle from the Flight Lieutenant's astromech droid made the blonde just shake her helmeted head and roll her steel blue eyes as the canopy of the fighter opened. "Squeak... Don't even think about getting into trouble here. Stay with the ship for now. Maybe run a few diagnostics... Never know when real trouble will call us out again. Stay alert, buddy."

With that said, the Ralltiiri grabbed her flight jacket that was stashed behind the pilot couch, then exited the snubfigher down the service ladder provided by a tech. Once boots were solidly on the ground, she smoothed over her helmet hair and the rebel orange flight suit worn before joining up with Captain [member="Dracken Pryce"] and the Starchild's contingent making their way towards the entrance that would most likely take them to the command center deep within the base.

Cathul spent the past 18 days to patrol over Skor, to get the construction of the orbital housing started, while the larger ships still surviving among Therapy Command were being mothballed all over the place. Which meant the Excubitor would not see further service until another faction takes possession. There may be a few destroyers that have survived to make the trip to ORC space, just that the rally point, centered around the Illenium system, was perhaps where the rest of the medvac units were headed once the construction of the orbital housing got underway, picking up refugees from planets in the Alliance south such as Xagobah, Praesitlyn. In fact, [member="Dracken Pryce"] would not be the only surviving naval unit. Sure they could build an extra orbital housing station one system away, but D'Qar readily has more infrastructure to house extra refugees. Plus there was, in fact, a patrol element left one system away for the purpose of ensuring security while building orbital housing: the ANS Jambiya, serving as its flagship, the ANS Consignment Sale, ANS Bill and Hold and ANS Upfront Payment, while the ANS Double-Counting, ANS Third Variable, ANS Skor and ANS Polis Massa were the first to arrive in the Illenium system.

"Status report"

"Looks like the Unenforceable Contract, Circumstancial Evidence, Factual Basis, Indellian and Lothal have yet to arrive, but these are the heavy cruisers of Therapy Command that survived at first count" Tanith reported in, while the manifest of losses was staggering: Akula, Viscount on Coruscant, to say nothing of other commands losing other ships on Coruscant, Fondor, Sullust or Lothal.

The Shattered Order was lead by the Eclipsed, former Marshalls on the New Jedi Order Council. Their meeting place today? A small briefing room off the hangar. With Coren Starchaser stepping out to meet with Jaius Sovv, the Shattered turned to several others. A Mon Calamari Jedi Master was looking around. She had a few ideas, and was waiting for the others to speak. The next one to speak was the Mirialan who had trained under Coren Starchaser for a number of years.

“After being in the Wild Space and Unknown Regions for years, and coming back, the Alliance had grown big. And spending our time as Jedi? We can do a lot more without needing to support the military so explicitly.

“The New Jedi Order was looked at to defend the worlds. The Shattered should be there to support.” She looked around to a number of nods. D’Qar was not going to be where the Shattered were going to create their base, but they were going to have representatives here, near to [member="Jaius Sovv"] and the command. Coren Starchaser became the main liaison between the Alliance in Exile command and the Shattered Order.

“And what do you propose, to get beyond the eyes of those who distrust us?” Asked the Mon Cal again.

Hanger -> Shattered Meeting

Seemed everything seemed to be calming down after the Sith attack on the Alliance. Calm was a word she wouldn’t use too heavily though, Allyson thought as a generic YT-1300 that was tied to the Silver Order began its decent onto the planet of D’Qar. Still having her ties with the Alliance, she had heard of them moving their base of operations to a more secluded area. At least there, the Sith wouldn’t bother them too much.

Leaning back in the pilot seat, she looked towards her co-pilot one of the Jedi from the Silver Jedi – a usual suspect for her to be working alongside. “Shouldn’t be too long till we touch down, Coren had cleared us already – which is nice saves us the hassle.” Allyson smiled slightly, knowing what they were here and why they were here wasn’t something to smile too much about. “Jyoti, Coren said something about a meeting happening. I think it’s a promising idea we make our first stop there.”

A hand waved as she felt the ship finish its landing procedures in the hanger. Allyson decided to not wear her silver spacey uniform, instead she wore something more practical and plain. Her blaster hung against her leg and she pondered about bringing the weapon. Lips pressed together as she remained deep in thought, then patted the weapon and made her way towards the exit. “I’ll have them notify Coren that we’re here.”

Heading out of the ship and through the hanger, someone familiar she knew from the Alliance stood in the distance. It didn’t take long for her to make contact and [member="Coren Starchaser"] would be made aware of her and [member="Jyoti Nooran"]’s arrival. “I have a general idea where to go. After the meeting maybe, we can make ourselves useful.” They were right on time for the meeting, it wasn't far from the hanger and the two Silvers were led into the meeting quietly as it started.

Was this all that remained of the Order? Traitors had decimated their numbers and trust in the light had been shattered, potentially beyond repair. Once again he had failed the light in his blind quest to eradicate the Sith. How many civilians, how many soldiers had perished in his persuits? At home? The number ranged in the thousands. He was trying to change, but the Sith here were just as evil and powerful and numerous than they were on the Other Side. Time and again he found himself crossed between his mission and what was truly right.

When the Mon Cal spoke it stung to hear the words "support" rather than lead. Sure, he didn't see himself a true leader, not with the number of Padawans he'd let slip through the cracks and into the deepest depths of the Dark Side, but he wasn't...A teacher, or a helper...He longed to be on the front lines, carving away at the Dark Side with his own blades. His fist tightened into a ball of frustration, so hard that it shook. He pressed his free hand to his arm and began to silently breathe. He had his own ideas, but he kept his mouth tight lipped.

She Left Behind A Legacy
Shattered Meeting

Pursed lips, she pressed two fingers against them in an effort to focus her thoughts. With one arm across her chest, she held that position for awhile. Just a couple of feet behind [member="Coren Starchaser"] she stood back and reflected on everything being thrown out. It seemed like a whirled wind came through and knocked everything off balance. She could vividly remember Coruscant...nearly feel the embers against her skin.

She shut her eyes for just a brief moment to recover from an instantaneous reply, but was quickly sucked back into reality after just a spare few seconds of stepping outside her body.

Lowering her hand she let her arm fall, folding into the other while she swayed to one side after shifting her weight.

The intercom went off, and just like that caught her attention; she tuned in even more when she heard that it was for Coren. Her gaze drifted towards the ground as he prepared to leave, and floated back to the top as he walked directly past her. She admired his commitment...but also worried for his well-being. There was so much to process...

Sigh

She melded into the group, generating her own list of things she'd like to bring to the table. However she was looking for more clarification on the point brought forward by the Mirialan. Romi would like to gauge the group first....

D'Qar Base
(Theme)

Those that are now with the force....

Long had passed since his arrival on Lothal and their defeat and retreat at the hands of the First Order. Since that time Kahne had done everything in his power to ease the burden on those that had lost, and even in himself. While the Jedi's hopeful nature would never cease to exist, there were those that had been without hope. And he felt that he had hidden himself away for too long and it was high time to return and fight, primarily the reason why he pledge his sword to [member="Coren Starchaser"] and would do whatever was necessary to ensure the survival of the Alliance in Exile as well as the now Shattered Order.

A meeting was in place right now, however as unprofessional as it would be...he would be late. The finishing touches were just about done, as the large granite stone was put into place, the symbol of the Alliance as well as the Jedi Order embedded into the stone and it looked quite magnificent. A small memorial of sorts, the granite stone surrounded by a small array of flowers that would make this area special. There were a few Jedi and some various others present. Pilots, smugglers, soldiers, many whom had aided the Alliance during the conflicts and retreats to the outer rim.

The Jedi Master took a deep breath and then showed a small smile as he took a few steps back while others would come and get a glance at the memorial and pay their last respects to the brave lives lost. The Jedi Master knew that the time for mourning, at least for him was over. Kahne took one more look at the granite stone before he turned around and started to walk back towards the hangars, he didn't want to be too late to the meeting as he glanced on the far side of the hangar and could see his ship their getting small repairs done to it. Gala had been all to cryptic after Lothal had happened, which was understandable given his droids nature. He simply advised her to remain on the ship and oversee any more repairs that needed to be done.

He stood just before the door and he could hear chatter hear and there and he slowly pushed the door open just enough for him to slide through the door without causing to much fuss. Kahne arrived at the near back end of the conversation so he would remain quiet for a bit longer until he could catch back up with what he missed. He glanced around as he caught a few faces of those he knew and some he hadn't met before.

Shattered Order Meeting

There was much to figure out for the Jedi that had survived the Galactic Alliance's Endgame perpetrated by a traitor high within the New Jedi Order itself. No one had seen it coming the ruse that had been executed so well. Most of the Jedi present had either been on Coruscant or Lothal that fateful day. A couple of fellow brethren outside the NJO had come to this meeting to offer their sympathy and support as well.

The Beacons of Light for the once mighty GA may be shattered as an Order, but there was still hope. And, that in itself would help rekindle their commitment to illuminate the darkness from the shadows so the galaxy may live without fear of the Dark. The rag tag group known now as the Alliance-in-Exile would have their sabers in support one way or another; the details of that to play out here as the discussion further commenced.

Cambria would sit quietly with a cup of Sapir tea while listening thoughtfully to those Jedi who chose to speak. The blue-hued Twi'lek was not one to interject unless her voiced words were needed or wanted. For now, taking in all opinions and suggestions would be the Knight's role as she sipped the aromatic tea that had a calming effect.

The base on D'qar was larger than he thought, and much busier than he expected considering the small amount of warships he saw floating around the system on their way in. The seemingly ancient walls and hangars were all they had to work with for now, but whatever contingent of the Alliance military had headed up setting D'qar up was making the most of it. Various pilots, mechanics, and droids hustled about, small repulsorlift transports ferried people back and forth.

"This is it now..." An officer in front of him grunted and shrugged.
"Damned Jedi..."

A woman with familiar blonde hair and a bright orange jumpsuit jogged up to Drac and the small group of officers, bringing the faintest smile to the corners of the captain's face.

"So you decided to join us?" Drac quipped "What about the rest of your squadron have you heard anything from them yet lieutenant?" Automatic doors slid open as the small group funneled into a long, wide hallway. They passed several doors, each leading to different meetings or lounges. There wasn't a fresh pressed Alliance uniform in sight and every face he saw sagged with exhaustion. They were heading to the central command center. Why he was being told to attend a meeting usually reserved for higher ranking officials was beyond him. His mind drifted to the worst. Were they taking the Starchild away from him? It only made sense to give it to a more experienced Commodor or Admiral. They didn't have many ships of its size or ability left, but the thought still made his heart sink a little.

"Ah, Commander Starchaser!" a sagging brow raised with mild effort to acknowledge Chief Sovv's Corellian Jedi guest. He waved him over to stand across the holodisplay from him, "Make yourself at ease, I beg of you."

He waved away in apparent frustration Coren's military posture, still not used to others thinking of him as something like a battlefield commander. It was true enough, they were still debating how to proceed since their last Supreme Commander [member="Aryn Teth"] was missing and presumed killed in action. In the meantime Jaius was advised by a provisional council of surviving flag officers in all military matters, but he alone was making the tough judgment calls. In part that was what he was hoping to address in seeking out Starchaser.

"I'm not sure if I've made time yet to say this to you, but I am glad you made it," Jaius had already been candid in the same way Coren was, so he elected to dive right in, "Your story is truly a remarkable one. We were both lucky to escape Coruscant with our lives, but you fought your way out of the eye of the hurricane, as it were."

He paused, leaning heavily on his staff as he craned his neck stiffly upward to ensure he was looking the human directly in the eyes. There was a trace of sorrow in his inky black pools.

"Nevertheless, we cannot escape our sins. Nor ignore the consequences of our actions. The people of the Galactic Alliance, both those in exile and the ones who we left behind, may never trust the New Jedi Order again. Grand Marshal Raaf's betrayal was...unthinkable, unconscionable. Questions will linger, questions about the institutions she helped build and how much of them were rotted by her touch. I believe you already know, in your heart, that drastic action must be taken."

It was a tense moment, but these words needed to be said. The people had placed their faith in the Knights of the Alliance, and it had all fallen apart on their watch.

"I will make this easier on you, I hope," he coughed, throat suddenly feeling parched standing across from a Jedi crusader, "The Triumvirate is no more. There will not be another Grand Marshal, our great temples will not be rebuilt stone by stone, world by world. We must start anew, and learn from our mistakes. Your Eclipsed may govern your diaspora's own interests, but we simply cannot afford to risk sharing senior authority with another potential servant of the Dark Lord, no matter how remote the chance."

He sighed heavily, glad that part was over with no matter how Coren reacted.

"However, in recognition of the oaths sworn and blood spilled by your Order throughout our history, despite what I have been counseled I believe the Jedi still deserve a voice in High Command. Since your loyalties are beyond question at this point, I am promoting you to General and inviting you and you alone to help lead us. Our Army will report directly to you, and you will help me organize whoever is left and still willing to fight into Sector Forces."

Ava quickly fell into step with Captain Pryce and his crew, coming up on the Corellian's left though just slightly behind and off to the side. One of his staff officers gave her an acknowledging nod.... That is when she caught a glimpse of the small upturn at the corner of [member="Dracken Pryce"]'s mouth. It was subtle, but nonetheless a smile of sorts before he grumbled at her.

"Yes, sir... Couldn't let you Starchild boys now have all the fun," Goldie retorted lightly, which made the others in the group following the ship captain through the confines of the new base chuckle.

The Ralltiiri wondered curiously if the man was feeling as sore as she was after their little sparring match in the ship's gym. The training session had been a bit rough and tumble with the emphasis on the latter as the two had ended up on the floor in what only could be called a close encounter... It was fun though despite the pain.

"And no... I am hoping to touch base with Commander Vigil. So if you see or talk to Rogue Leader before I do, Captain, please send him my way."

[member="Rayf Vigil"]

Starchaser entered the room, where he was called to and saluted. The Chief of State, well, second chief of state that he had the pleasure of serving. It wasn’t enough to get the Jedi Master to stand to attention. Coren was here as a patriot of the Alliance and that meant he was sometimes looked to help bring others into the fold. He knew what the Alliance could offer, and the man was interested what he was doing here. The Chief of State had other concerns than meeting with a Jedi Master, a representative of the New Jedi Order.

But the more that [member="Jaius Sovv"] kept speaking, He was not going to interrupt, but he was agreeing. The New Jedi Order, at the height of their capability allowed [member="Taeli Raaf"] to take charge. Coren couldn’t help but feel some concern over that. Had he not abandoned the Alliance for the years he spent in Wild Space and the Unknown Regions what would have occurred? Would he have taken up the mantle of Grand Marshall? He wasn’t sure. But he had a reason for leaving.

Be it the Force, or personal, he wasn’t the one who was destined to take up the mantle. But now he was back, and as Sovv was stating, he had taken the fight to the peak of the Sith. It was only a matter of him not being… what, strong enough? Allied to the Force enough? Willing to take the risks and step where he shouldn’t be?

No more Grand Marshal? Coren nodded at this. It made sense. The New Jedi Order was marked as the betrayers. The Eclipsed were going to be answering to the people Coren knew he could trust, and to himself. It wasn’t going to be a publically marked group, but the Shattered Order did exist. “We’ll keep the Eclipsed hidden, the Shattered Order won’t be building temples.” A Star Temple, though…

The next statement was what took Coren back a bit. He had been trusted by Nemo Ven as a Commander within the Alliance military. That meant he was one of the people looked at to rally the forces. But now? General of the Army? That was something else. He straightened his posture a bit and nodded. “You are not concerned with backlash of my… religion?” Coren had been there fighting back as hard as he could with the Sith. “I will accept if you are sure. You know you can count on me.” And that gives him way to voice the concerns of the Jedi to the Chief.

Different beings were coming in from all corners of the galaxy. Some were coming to lend their support, others were coming to assist with leadership. The Eclipsed, the group who would be directing the Shattered Order, and the others who registered as a Force sensitive in the Alliance in Exile, were going to accept the ideologies and ideas from everyone who was willing to lend a hand. The goal was to provide a place for the Jedi and allied religions to continue to support the goals of the Alliance, in whichever way they felt it was worth it. Defense, or striking.

There would be members of the former New Jedi Order standing watch and directing the people who seemed to be interested in the meeting from a variety of locations in the new Alliance in Exile base.

The Mirialan, who may or may not have gone by the name Chevu Visz had looked at the group and nodded. “We can support, but we need to be ready to do what must be done. If the Alliance keeps us behind closed doors…” She shrugged and shook her head. “If the Sith come calling, we can’t just be hiding. We need to be ready to take the fight to them.”

“Yes, but with the betrayal of Raaf…” The Mon Cal continued. “… we can’t be so certain we’re welcome. We don’t know what goals the Chief of State has. For now all we can do is encourage the Jedi and Forcers to join the services and take the roles they can to protect our peoples.”

“That’s not enough.” Visz continued. “We need to prepare for a fight that the New Jedi Order couldn’t win. We are the wall between the galaxy and the Sith and Ren. We need to provide our people with the means. Armor, weapons… ships.” She looked to her own droid, Two-Bit and the holo of a Star Temple had came into view. “We can use this, as our watchtower, our striking hammer.” She was reflecting more of what Coren could hope for from the Guardians and Sentinels.

"Knight Visz, there are others here who would like the floor." The Mon Calamari spoke, calmly. A Sage, the aquatic Master looked around at the gathered, knowing more were coming.

"Looks like the original housing stations ordered won't suffice, admiral"

"I'm afraid the ORC will have to consider it on a case-by-case basis; our agreement signed on Polis Massa only covered the Kallidahins, the Squibs and Susefvi. Any system that wants in will have to pay for it themselves, surface infrastructure or orbital"

"And also a mining company has ordered one of those things, to be placed in the asteroid belt around D'Qar"

Cathul's guess was that the system was, in fact, a location suitable for hypermatter refining or some other orbit-based resource. However, who knew what resources lied in D'Qar's asteroid belt. And, now that she was over D'Qar, the Unenforceable Contract, Factual Basis and Causal Claim were now in-system, on top of the Double-Counting, Third Variable, Skor and Polis Massa. But, due to the lag in getting the rally point, thanks to the great secrecy required in communicating the rally point, she knew it was not the end of the story, or simply that they were patrolling other regions to the ORC's northern border. So the first of the cruisers have returned, but given what Therapy Command fielded, to a layman observer that resided on D'Qar, it may as well have been a Confederate unit. Munificent-X heavy cruisers, C-9980-series heavy frigates, Hardcell variants (albeit used). And, of course, the remaining medvac units that were done ferrying refugees from a planet to another were arriving in-system, too. The smaller ones, sure, since the Oxen and Fambaa were so massive that it took much longer to fill them on Praesitlyn and Xagobah respectively.

The Galactic Alliance was down but not out. A significant portion of GA personnel had managed to retreat to the Outer Rim, coming full circle from their humble origins on Sullust.

While the GA was still kicking, the SJO would still support them. Tagging along with Allyson, Jyoti's personal mission D'Qar would be to speak with the leadership and see all they needed to get back on their feet. The SJO was prepared to offer anything from logistical support to additional shelters.

Coren had made it very clear that Jedi weren't exactly popular in those parts, so she traded her robes for a light smuggler disguise, even hiding her silvery mane under a bright red shawl.

"That sounds fine. You know your way around Alliance folks better than I do. It's all still so weird to me, I didn't think things had been going so badly for the GA."

Outside of the SJO, it was hard to know who to trust these days. The complete infiltration of the GA was something else she wanted to investigate during her time on D'Qar. Enemy operatives could still be among them.

"What's that, R9?" Rayf asked rhetorically, grunting with exhaustion as he leaned back down into his cockpit to see the little droid's beeps translated, "Yeah? Well what do you know, you don't even have a nose."

Commander Vigil couldn't argue his atromech's point. He had been at the stick nearly nonstop since their retreat from Fondor, even when Captain Pryce had secured them safe harbor over Manas Rogue Leader had been constantly out on patrol. Searching not only for signs of the Sith or First Order, but fellow refugees. By the time they had received orders to ship out for D'Qar, they had accumulated a modest little civilian flotilla. Pushing so hard had left him exhausted, and even more than that he was badly in need of a sonic shower and some hot chow.

"You could use an oil bath yourself, buddy," he patted R9-X1's chassis as the droid was being lowered down from their bird.

"Oi Lead! Goldilocks has been looking for you."

"Ventral thruster's still kicking in slow, Chief," Rayf replied matter of factly, drawing a faux scowl from the Starchild's senior deck petty officer, "Have her meet me in the mess."

"She's down at the Aurek Site," chief grunted in response, "Do I look like a messenger to you, sir? The bird's fine, by the way, its your reflexes that are shot."

"Of course she is," the Corellian groaned, offering a rude gesture in response before trudging away, "Come on, R9. Looks like that oil bath's gonna have to wait."

No matter how many times he landed on her deck, Rayf could not get over the sheer scale of the Starchild's main hangar. Their last posting had been much smaller, a cruiser carrier for fast attack operations. Rogue Squadron's transfer to a Colony-class had been a war time decision, made at a time when elite attack wings were of more use than lone special forces strikes. It was a long walk from his TR-20 to the battlecruiser's idling pool of U-Wing transports.

"This the express shuttle to the Starbird Cantina?" he asked boisterously as he clambered aboard a shuttle.

"That depends, Commander," the transport's pilot called back to him, "You got my cigarras?"

"Tomorrow!" Rayf shouted over an engine now roaring to life. They were all on edge, but pretending like everything was normal was just another way they coped.

"Next stop, D'Qar."

The Jedi weren't popular right nw with the exiles from the Alliance. She understood she read accounts and listened to all the stories. It was a story that would affect everything for sometime to come.

She saw her people safely off Coruscant but kept the Lucky Lady running, just as she still had the Underground out on Bespin, and now she was atttempting to set up a business on Canto Bight. She had the people in the right place now she just had to use them for all the right things. Out here wayyy out here from the core this would give the alliance the space and time they needed to rebuild.

She could get behind that too.

She put out a message to [member="Coren Starchaser"] to let him know she was inbound. She had an idea too...since she had the right places. She would meet him and anyone else that she needed. She was soon close enough that her ship, The Midnight Star transponder would be broadcasting. She waited for the all clear didn't want someone who was still reeling from Coruscant to start shooting, that would make her real nervous.

Clearance came with some hesitation but it came with directions of where to go...Rekha landed made some necessary adjustments and headed out to crash a meeting.
