Building a God

On the factory floor of the R&D department on Cyto Val, Nyos was running through the blueprints for a new tank, designs were drawn up for a defensive unit for the planet of Fondor.

After the AE and LoF invaded Fondor, Nyos decided that the planet needed a unit to put a stop to the enemies of the Protectorate. He was walking a collection of mechanical parts and electrical equipment.

Crews of droid workers and scientists and engineers were bustling about, getting ready to start this project.

Noah had been invited to Cyto Val by his good friend Nyos to oversee and help with a project that Nyos had been developing for some time now. Admittedly when Noah had gotten the first blueprints of the massive undertaking, Noah was skeptical, but then again, Nyos and him had fought things that Noah had been skeptical about too, zombies being one of them. So that is why Noah currently sat in a conference room, awaiting his friend.

A call came down to Nyos from the confrance room that an old friend was here to aid Nyos with his build. He wiped the grease from his face and made his way out to meet his friend.

Once he arrived he walked over to Noah, smile on his face and hand out for a formal greeting.

"Long time, no see my old friend. I hear you are to aid me in my build? I'm glad you could make it, I trust the trip was swift and safe?"

Noah smiled as his good friend entered the room and extended his hand for a handshake. "Nyos! Bro, good to see you still kicking, its been too long man. How are you doing?" Noah asked as they shook hands. "I'll admit bro, I saw you designs and schematics and I'll admit, I'm a bit skeptical, but I'll help you if you help me with a project."

Nyos laughed, it was a big undertaking for the two old soldiers, but there wasn't much they could not handle.

"I know, it's a big one, but I'm confident that we will be able to accomplish everything. As for houng you, I don't see why not. I'll even set up your own lab. And I will help where I can."

Nyos sat down at the table and brought up the schematics for the tank.

"Alright, the Omega1 Super tank, aka Zeus' Lighting is something I've cooked up in the aftermath of the Atrisian invasion of Fondor. The main goal for it is to be a last line for home defense of Fondor. It has big power and big defenses."

"Its main weapon will be a Plasma Railgun. Firing a plasma bolt capsulated by a magnetic field. It has the same punching power of a regular Railgun but the plasma will continue to burn through the target. For those tougher foes with shields and denser armor. Also, it comes with one turbo laser for medium craft, proton torpedoes for AA purposes and a trifecta of volley-missile launchers. Those are for infantry and smaller vehicles. What we need to do first is get it framed and wired. Then we go from there. Any questions Noah?"

Noah stroked his chin a bit as he thought. An idea came to his mind. "I think if we play to our individual strengths, we can both achieve our own goals." Noah informed Nyos as he took out a rolled up blueprint, preferring to keep it on flimsi to keep slicers from getting to it. "My strengths involve weapons, and from what I can tell, you'll need my expertise in developing this 'plasma railgun.' Your strengths lie with things like exoskeletons, which is just what I'm developing." Noah informed him as he rolled out the blueprint.

Nyos looked over the blueprints Noah rolled out. They were for armor. He was creating something of an exo-suit.

"Alright, you got yourself a deal my friend."

"Let's get these down to the development teams and get started, but first, would you like a cup if Caf? It's gonna be a long day."

Nyos tired to escort Noah out of the conference room and down to the food court.

Noah rubbed his eyes, truth be told, with everything going on now a days, he hadn't had much sleep. "To tell you the truth bro, I'll need at least three with everything that's been going on." Noah informed him as he stood and began to follow Nyos to the cafeteria.

Once they had their Caf, Nyos escorted Noah to the lift and headed down to the factory floor.

The elevator doors opened to the main manufacturing floor. Off to the side was one of the twenty labs.

He let the sights sit in, he sipped his Caf.

Noah sipped his caf and looked over the lab that they walked into, the one thing that caught Noah's attention was the holographic interface that showed the massive plasma railgun that Nyos was developing. Noah immadeatly hit the button that entirely dissassembled the weapon and as soon as he did he found a big problem. "Well the first thing I'm seeing here is the power capacitor, unless you have a larger capacitor it won't work. You see this one is about 4,500 volts, which would be good for a medium-range railgun, but with this you'd need a capacitor with at least 7,500 volts."

"Well, yes that may not be enough to power a long range Railgun, but that is the prototype, it's effective range had been calculated out to about ten clicks. This model has not been assembled yet, it's just in holo form now. My plan is to increase the parts per million of plasma and the electromagnetic field around the plasma shot, the field will counter the gravity, increasing range."

Nyos was working on recalibrating the plasma field generators when a blip showed on his datapad. An ally had made a deal with the Republic to make a tank for them. Nyos looked at the name of the client, [member="Kiskla Grayson"]. She was a well known member of the Republic. Widely respected and revered. Kiskla wanted a super tank, Nyos would help get her one. Even fit specification to her needs.

"I need a team to gather all the supplies to start the frame work of the tank. We need something to build on."

"Okay big boss!" The Milenici helpers ran off to start working on building the frame.

Nyos sent Miss Grayson a message inviting her to the facility on Cyto Val.

Honestly, Kiskla Grayson didn't know if she wanted tanks or not -- so she conveniently forwarded the message from [member="Nyos Val"] to those who would be more inclined to completing the task for The Republic.

Caid was seated on a couch in his stateroom aboard the Arbiter when the loud knock on his door came. Glancing at the chrono, Caid confirmed that he'd not been expecting any meetings. Exhaling softly, he offered the visitor permission to enter. "Come."

Captain Velez, dressed in battle uniform, stepped inside immediately and came to attention. "Admiral. You've received a message fro--"

Caid cut the man off before he could finish. "Pretty sure I said only to bother me if it was important."

The Captain responded by way of continuing. "...from the Grandmaster. Regarding something to do with the Republic Armory? Cyto Val?"

Caid turned enough to give the Captain a 'what the hell are you talking about' look. "Republic Armory? What in the..." Motioning the man forward, Caid simply decided to cut out the middle man. "Bring it here." Accepting the message from Captain Velez, Caid briefly scanned the contents before handing it back to the Captain. "No reply. Get me this [member="Nyos Val"] on a secure line."

The young Captain nodded his head before turning to carry out the order. Returning to his own stateroom just down the hall, he access the holocom and immediately established a connection with Nyos Val. When the image came to life, Captain Velez sat up straight and spoke evenly. "Mr. Val. I apologize for the disruption. Grand Admiral Centurion recently received a forwarded communique regarding some element of production for the Republic on Cyto Val." Pausing for a moment, the young Captain considered something. "Those are all of the details that we have. He requests an audience with you via holocom to further discuss before dispatching a representative of the Republic to Cyto Val."

Nyos was working in the shop, getting the tank specs updated as he inspected the frame of the massive tank, when a service droid approached him with a holocomm.

"Someone is trying to reach you sir."

"Thank you." Nyos turned on the communicator and the visage of a Republic Captain popped up. He was responding to Nyos' invitation to aid the production of the Zeus tank.

"Yes captain, of course I will speak with the Admiral. Give me a moment to get to my office and I will have a chat with him on the details."

Nyos returned the comm to the service droid and walked to the lift to head up to his office. Once there, he pulled up his own holocomm and activated the signal from the previous call.

"This is Nyos Val, CEO and founder of InVal Cybernetics. You wish to speak with me Admiral?"

Caid had returned to his desk and was prepared when the Captain informed him that a connection had been established. As the blue holographic image of [member="Nyos Val"] manifested, the Dathomir native managed a polite smile. "I appreciate your time Mr. Val, and I apologize for having to reach out to you in such an...inorganic manner. I received a message from [member="Kiskla Grayson"], but it was fairly scant on details. She insinuated that you wished to meet with a Republic representative regarding...some new technology? I was just hoping you could give me a brief rundown on what it is, and why you felt it important enough to reach out...to the Jedi Grandmaster."

Caid could appreciate that Nyos was likely a very busy, so he simply wanted to get down to the meat of the point so a decision could be made on how best to proceed.

Nyos nodded, "Not a problem."

"Well I'm developing a super tank and thought the Republic would want one. It's about the size of a small freighter and wields a Plasma Railgun. I felt that one of the premier leaders of the Republic was the best to go to. And Kiskla was the first to come to mind. If you would like, I can send you the specs for the tank."

Nyos brought up the blueprints and sent them over.

Seeing that the Republic Grand Admiral had this well in hand, Aurelia let this opportunity go.

The military, whilst useful for the Republic, was so much ‘boys and their toys’ for Aurelia. She neither knew, nor cared how they functioned, so long as they did their jobs and brought victory.

However, she was reassured to note that [member="Kiskla Grayson"] was still deferring matters to her, and sent her a thankful message. No fruit baskets though, Jedi didn’t like them for some reason.

The Admiral's response was emotionless as he reviewed the blueprints. "Jedi Master Grayson does not have decision-making authority where the Republic is concerned. She advises the Republic on the affairs and actions of the Jedi Order and guides that entity's direction. Defer any future political or military correspondences to members of the Republic Triumvirate." Caid's comments were not meant to be insidious or in any way disparaging. The entirety of the Jedi Order had been steadfast, resolute guardians even in the face of continuous failure. In truth, Caid only disapproved of the lack of support they'd received from allies abroad and within the Republic in the past.

Rest assured, Caid Centurion was working tirelessly to correct that, but he believed in the fresh start the Republic was attempting to give itself. Any hint of retrogade to past methods met with his displeasure as a direct result. Oh yes. That and he hadn't particular cared for his first impression of [member="Kiskla Grayson"] before he'd joined the Republic quite some time ago.

"You should have the contact information now." Caid sent over the publicly available contact information for the offices they maintained...it wouldn't likely get a direct response from the individual, but it would eventually make its way to said sentients. "As for this design...this thing is massive. It seems that it would...provide assistance in battlespace superiority on the ground." Silence lingered for a handful of moments. "Very well, Mr. Val. I am going to dispatch one of our more experienced Augmented Regiment Commanders to liaise on the program. He'll provide updates directly to me. Anything else I can do for you?"

As he waited for a response, Caid tapped out a message to Captain Velez.

The Captain immediately received the instruction to get Colonel Kiyron on the holocom for when the call with [member="Nyos Val"] completed. Finding the appropriate frequency, he sent a message directly to [member="Kiyron"]. "Colonel, Admiral Centurion wishes an audience with you. If you're available, I will patch you through to his holocom."

"Your assistance in this after is much appreciated and I look forward to our work together." Nyos closed the holocomm and headed back down stairs to his workshop.

"Where do we stand with the repulsor engines?" He asked to the crew of Milenici on the clock at the time.

"Almost done big boss, got four left." Kevin replied.
