Caged in Dark Corruption

She told him. She told [member="Darth Prazutis"] that she wasn't well trained in lightsaber duels, had no style. Plus she was not at optimum health and hadn't been for quite some time, so she couldn't use the Force against him. It would only come at him like a breeze and that would be laughable.

But it was no excuse. He wasn't here to coddle her, he didn't care in any way whether or not she got hurt or killed. The only thing he cared about was success. And although she couldn't beat him at all, at least she could show that she was applying his advice, lest she end up back in the cramped cells again.

No. She didn't want to go back there. She wanted to go home, back to Commenor. Kay tightened her grip on the hilt once she had a moment to compose herself and made sure that she had good balance on the balls of her feet. Instead of attacking however, she just waited, her eyes holding his gaze so that they could provide her a hint as to what was coming next. She may be smaller, but she could be quicker, was more nimble on her feet. Afterall, she was used to running.

"We have yet to get to teaching you any of the actual styles, these are fundamental rules of lightsaber combat." Prazutis said. Once more he came in with a simple overhead strike this time it wasn't meant to deliberately send her crashing to the earth. However in her weakened state taking his great strength head on would certainly do so.

Deflect.

It showed that she was learning when she swiftly parried his blow, and she came in for another strike. This time she wasn't lunging with reckless abandon as she was before. The attack was grounded first with a solid foundation, but still it was extended. Prazutis parried the attack and allowed it to slide off to one side, he stepped in and grabbed her wrist tossing her across the square. "You learn quick but your overextending. If you overextend your attack you've opened yourself up."

Despite her weakened state [member="Lady Kay"] still jumped to her feet again this time for the briefest of moments her back was towards him. "If you turn your back to your opponent you are dead again." Braxus said as he blasted forward this time with force fueled speed, he charged towards her and delivered a powerful strike to her back with the paralytic weapon paralyzing her upper torso for a brief period as she collapsed to the ground.

Once she regained her composure however he helped his apprentice up "This is the path you have been set on. The old Kay was far too weak to even learn the most fundamental of these lessons, but you are strong." Prazutis said gazing into her eyes, he could feel the hatred rise. "You hate me, don't you? Good. Goood. Use your hatred, your rage. Let it fuel your strength, steel your resolve. Learn to command the darkness and it will serve you well."

Kay had planned on dodging and running around to [member="Darth Prazutis"] ' exposed back, but she didn't get that far. Instead she was flung about like a rag doll again, only to be struck on her back while she tried to get up, causing her to fall back down again.

When she was able to, she got to her feet wuth his help and picked up her weapon. She spat a bit of blood at his feet. "Easy for you to say..Master..." Her anger just kept growing as he continued to belittle her. Kick a person when they were down. That was his way. For a while it would be hers too, but not always. Right now she had to play the game. That was all that life was anywaus. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

Kay gathered the Force around her and attempted a push to force him off balance so that she could attack him again.
