Call of the Jedi Shadows

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Well after a little discussion with [member="Coci Heavenshield"] we are looking to get the Silver Shadows back. In full force might not be possiblle but we would like to do an interest check to see what the people can do. Gin that Connor and Aria both fell one of the major things will be reinforcing the training in how to resist the darkside and watch each others back.

While [member="Syn"] and [member="Coci Heavenshield"] are shadows they can't be in charge, both have duties IC and OOC so it would be preferable for someone new, someone with fresh blood to want to lead them but that doesn't mean you won't have support or be able to get what you need to be ready,.

So for anyone who wants to become one of the rare class of sentinels trained to combat the darkside, trained to fight them and everything that can happen with it. Reply here and express it, bring your ideas and opinions.

Qualifications you should have:

Somewhat a background in the Sentinel class (it is easier to continue your skills and advance them then teach a bunch of new ones)

Dedication to the Lightside of the force (these are darkside hunters who are in proximity to darksiders and artifacts. Their resolve and control needed to be stronger then beskar to resist temptation)

Ability to work with others (the shadows mmight be singular and alone on missions but they were also a group. They know how to work together and shoulder the burdens of their station)

Ability to listen and ask (they reported to the council of first knowledge and acted based on the wisdom of the council. Shadows didn't decide what they were doing they had a very important structure to prevent them going off and turning to the darkside)

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?

I may not always number my posts, but I feel a role in the Shadows is something that fits with Sorel's character. And looking for a role within the team primarily.

:)

With Connor having left the Order there is no-one around to lead and organise the Shadows. Finding a replacement for the office of Harbinger should be the first step to revitalize them. Young blood is eager blood, although some amount of tangible experience would be required, of course. :)

[member="Catherine Soja"] the shadows are sentinels, with very special skills. trained to fight darkside influence and find/destroy artifacts. Their skills in different things both technology wise and the force made them a very good balance.

[member="Thurion Heavenshield"] yes while Coci or myself could claim it, we are already in charge and do things. We don't need an echo chamber of us all having the leadership positions with us. New ideas, fresh people are preferable. Same for the healers (Cathbodua while having been here the longest and being active is not in charge she is just here)

[member="Sorel Crieff"] you would be welcomed and it could be very nice to see. You have done a lot of work and we'll see who else is interested.

I'll add this to the main first post but qualifications you should have.

Full disclosure, Connor Harrison was decent but he also only made the shadows seem in my opinion like something he could have as a cool title. Most threads for shadows were him and another in private discussing big things and while for ease and planning the shadows in the Silver Jedi have an official leader. They didn't really they were overseen by someone who wasn't like them who could observe and make sure they were not slipping. This prevented shadows from going rogue and turning to the darkside.

He is a good guy as well but that interest check sat for months where he had people wanting to join but instead kept saying "I'm' going to keep this up" until he left the order. By then people had moved on. 1-2 weeks is fine, 1-2 months is going to ruin a lot of mood for the others. His use of the darkside was also a big thing, as a shadow and leader of the shadows he would have known better, he should have known better. These are jedi who are supposed to see the darkside and destroy it, they were at times more paranoid about the danger's then normal jedi because they got to see horrible things.

A shadow would see the horrible ways darksiders created artifacts, created monsters. They would be the last ones to use the darkside and self regulate themselves if there was a chance they might give in. He is a good guy but as a leader of the shadows he broke to many of the cardinal principles to be the most effective leader. The only shadow I saw him give attention to was Aria who fell just as easily and even came after the silver order trying to wipe out the main archives on Voss. (thankfully this is voss where we have back ups and an AI in charge of them, specifically one that can detect the erasing and just recopy over it within a few seconds)

I'll repeat again this is my opinion of the situation and what I observed. There are some things that the Silver Shadows do that I question but they are generally held to the spirit of the Shadows. Their codenames and secret clubhouse is something that I would change but they have all of this training. Something that shadows will with the right direction continue to show and with emphasis on the important aspects of their skills. Such as resisting the darkside and being able to serve the lightside of the force.

Count me in! I am still relatively new and without her memories Lynn has no shadow experience. As a writer I use to do Bleach writing mostly and have served as squad 2 captain for years (the spy squad lol)

Though I personally feel story wise Lynn is not ready to lead. So I vote Sorel and not just cus she is Lynn's master.

connor has already been handled by [member="Coci Heavenshield"] when she severed him from the force. Now he is just left to wander around the galaxy. Sort of like Ulic except I don't think he feels the remorse that man did.

and well I'd likely for initiates have Krass ([member="Sorel Crieff"]'s padawan as well) there to make the shadows their tech. She'll be their Q so they could make nullification containment shields, more spirit crystals that trap sith ghosts and purge them with the lightside using solari crystals. Specialized transports and frigates or freighters that work for them.

I'd like to drop SJ's name in the hat for consideration to run or assist in running the Shadows.

He'd make a terrible field agent (he stands out too much), but I think he'd make a good it for helping run the events. In terms of his curriculum vitae, Sor-Jan is a Jedi Sentinel with a skill focus as a Slicer/Technician. But, he's had training as a Jedi Archaeologist and experience in pursuing/destroying Sith and Krath artifacts. See, for example, the Tomb of Liber Mordu story arc in his bio/thread tracker.

He was also the head of the board's largest computer and telecommunications company (Corellia Digital, which to grew to Tier 5 under his leadership). He's divested those responsibilities to [member="Aisha Marc"] (President/CEO), [member="H3xle"] (VP, Operations), and [member="Marque"] (VP, Chief Creative Officer) but his contacts and influence in tapping into large data networks extends from the Galactic Alliance to the Kathol Outback to the Core and the Tingel Arm.

And so far as running operatives in the field, he was a Jedi General during the Clone Wars and a Jedi Commander during the Stark Hyperspace Wars.

Plus it would give me a place to put him, since he currently doesn't fit any of the Silver groups (Guardians, Sages, etc)
