Atticus Savar receives the message from Admiral Mollari and arrives at the appointed place a few minutes before the indicted time.

Snapping to attention Atticus addresses the Admiral.

"Reporting as ordered Admiral." "Permission to speak candidly Admiral?"

Gar'Hal arrived at the specified location after receiving the message, feeling a bit cautious after how the last meeting went, and made his way into the room. The Admiral and his fellow officer Atticus were in attendance so far, and following his comrade's example gave his superior a proper salute. To gain her rank she must have had quite a few years of experience, and as of now there was no one better who could whip the navy back into proper shape.

"Velasura reporting for duty Admiral." he said with his usual no-nonsense and monotone voice, and then turned his glance towards Atticus to hear what he had to say.

Valara checked her message and set down the supply list she had been scrutinizing and comparing to an inspection check-list. She set them down, picked up her cover, and strode from the room, working through the hallways until she reached the grand conference room.

She stopped and saluted the admiral upon entering and awaited orders.

Alarice stood at the end of the conference room as the dozens of people filed in, she returned salutes out of respect for those that did and those that knew the customs and courtesies and such not to within a building. It didn't matter, she was excited to see such a turn-out. The Republic was growing, slowly and even painfully it would seem.

[member="Atticus Savar"], [member="Gar'Hal Velasura"], [member="Valara Tiall "]would each get a nod and a salute in return, and Alarice would make a motion towards the front row of seats. "Please, gentlemen, and lady." She offered them a genuine smile. "Have a seat."

OOC - A bit short, as I want to acknowledge you and ensure everyone gets in, ect. Glad you guys came. Warm feelings in my heart I have. :D

Hawke read the message silently. Some meeting of high ranking officers called by Admiral [member="Alarice Mollari"]. She sighed o express to herself the displeasure of having to go to a meeting. She'd only arrived in port two hours ago. There were still many things she needed to accomplish over the next few hours with her ship, but now it would have to be dealt with by her second in command.

The signs lead the way to this meeting room. This was Hawke's first time at Naval Command; the entirety of her so far short tenure with The Republic had been served out in the eastern arm. After a few events like The Empyrrean and Ossus of late, she'd been transferred out here to hopefully fight the Sith's Navy. Finally arriving at the conference room without so much as a wrong turn, Hawke took a seat at the back of the room, arriving latter than most. Not that she'd complain though, didn't want a spotlight on her now.

Atticus took a seat in the first row as directed by the Admiral giving a polite nod to Velasura. Noticing a new face Atticus gave a polite smile. Atticus then turned to give his full attention to Admiral Mollari as he waited for the meeting to begin.

Valara took a seat in the indicated front seat and waited for the meeting to start. What would be the focus here? Or the goal? It certainly wasn't a social gathering by any means. Not in the grand conference room with this many personnel. It would have been announced beforehand if it was that. This was something more urgent. It appeared she would have to wait and see.

Gar'Hal dropped his salute and wordlessly took a seat at the table at the admiral's command, tapping lightly on it with his finger while scanning the rest of the people in the room with a face devoid of emotion. There was a woman he had not noticed before sitting in the back, and his eyes focused on her a bit longer than the others while he wondered who she could possibly be. Gar'Hal would find out soon enough, so he turned his gaze back to the admiral and waited for her to speak.

Alarice made a motion to the security officers at each door. "Seal the room, activate the anti-communications field."

There was no response, only movement from the several security guards at both doors. Alarice waited until she heard the doors seal and the whirling sound of the communications field activating itself. When the light above each door went from red to green, she finally brought her hands from behind her back and clapped them infront of her.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it's not secret, we're at war." The look of the various beings allowed her a tight smile upon her face, her fingers interlacing together as she paced back and forth across the stage. A small holocam followed her movements and projected her figure to the higher levels of the conference room and translated it in different languages. Behind her, were several other high-ranking officers within the Galactic Republic Navy.

"As you all know, the One Sith gave an ultimatum to the Republic that no doubt the Senate will reject." She brought a hand up to motion. "What that means is, effectively immediately all fleets are on defense posture bravo." She motioned behind her to the desk, where a holomap of the Republic space came up. "High priority targets to the One Sith are marked in red, currently intelligence states that most likely they will hit the Jedi at Tython." She pointed to Anaxes. "There is a chance this is a dual strike, where they will also hit the Republic at Anaxes." She pointed to Anaxes.

Atticus listened intently at what the Admiral said committing the high priority targets to memory plus one or two more that would likely be targets of value to an enemy force.

Atticus had seen the ultimatum for their enemy and had even watched it a few times over curious as to why it had been sent to big with.

Even though Atticus had the urge to take notes he figured he would not be able to take them out of the room. He would ask the Admiral for the unclassified version when the meeting concluded.

Gar'Hal listened to the admiral's initial comments and found himself remembering the fateful demand of the Sith. Only the foolish, the short-sighted, the ambitious, or those that despise the Jedi would ever agree to such a thing, but already he had seen evidence of small rallies in support of it. To many the Jedi were just as mysterious as the Sith, which once more proved the point of the Republic needing to address the issue of the Jedi, but for now the issue was tactics.

He wanted to speak, but knew it was best at times to simply be silent and listen. Only after getting the facts and possible plans could he formulate a proper response to the danger, and Gar'Hal found himself wondering just how the woman he had never seen before would respond. One of the best ways to get to know a person was through hearing them argue or discuss their points.

Still...this possible offensive would be a very important point of the war whether the Sith won or lost. It could be the key to an eventual Republic victory.

Hawke turned to the officer next to her, striking up some conversation on their intelligence in a hushed manner. She didn't want to interrupt the Admiral now. "The Sith striking Anaxes seems suicidal, don't you think"?

"It would most likely be. Anaxes has always been a Fortress World. And it's only been fortified more so now". The man folded his hands on top of his lap. Taking up a relaxed position while he looked over at the blonde girl.

"Right. Only somewhere like Kuat would be a more fortified area. I know it being the capital now would make it a prime target. But the Sith would be betting to many chips. If they couldn't take Carida at strength; not much chance of breaking this world". Hawke took a better look at the Captain; so his rank indicated. Brown hair, heavy set, but nothing to noticeable.

"Tython though would be something the Sith would like to claim. More destroy. The contempt they hold for the Jedi will draw them like moths to the flame. Thinking on it though, it does seem odd they never struck Tython early in the war. The defenses are not built up near as much as more eastern systems".

Hawke nodded to agree with his suspicions. "Your observations do seem quite valid Captain. The Sith have been besting the Jedi more than the latter. Even corrupting them to the dark side. One of our best assets are dwindling as they grow stronger. Losing Tython would only demoralize the Jedi more. Losing their temple on Coruscant. The recent attack on Ossus. We can't let them win another victory over the Jedi, let alone The Republic. The moral s draining away for both".

"Yes, the tides must turn for us if we wish to be on the offensive again. Command needs to step up their game and take bold action. Sitting idle is only letting them gain strength again. We may have been pushed off Teta but that shouldn't lose us the initiative. With our Omegan allies we've near half the galaxy on our side. The difference in abilities is startling by statistics. We just need to attack full on".

"Command obviously has wet feet. Or a wet underside for his excellency the Chancellor". Hawke sarcastically toned her remark. Not that she was on authority of the situation at hand. Only arriving today, she did her best to break down what she knew and form the best educated opinions she could. "Something will move eventually though. Republic or Sith something will move". The two ended their conversation for the moment at least. Turning back to the Admiral, knowing further exchange could get them singled out like school children.

Arriving late to the party, by virtue of the fact that she'd been in a coma and was a little late in receiving her summons, was Niamh, with her personal attache, Teria, who had to wait outside, which seemed to annoy the poor girl more than anything. In reality, Teria was more of a body guard than she was a civil service worker. The Echani didn't really have civil service only workers. Even Niamh knew how to fight if she really had to, but she didn't like to do it.

As she took a seat, and listened to what Admiral [member="Alarice Mollari"] said about a possible offensive, she was left thinking. Anaxes was heavily fortified, by Tython had the Jedi. Taking either provided a strategic advantage. She suspected they would go after Tython. When it came to Sith, they seemed to have a one track mind for fighting the Jedi. It was just a shame these were the regular Jedi.

Anyway, she sat silently, and started taking down some notes on her datapad for things that she needed to get done now that she knew what was coming. Much to do, so little time.

Alarice took note of the mixed reactions and held her tongue for the moment, her mind calculating the best course of approach. "You see, it is possible, for the One Sith to strike at both ends given their current fleet strength." She motioned towards the center of the room at the glowing holoprojector figures. "Republic Intelligence estimates that the Sith Fleet is capable of creating a culpable diversion at Anaxes, while striking at Tython in order to split the defenses of the Republic up."

She heaved a sigh and withdraw her laser pen and motioned towards the general crowd. "The ultimate task right now is for the Republic to lock down Anaxes, limit incoming and outgoing traffic. We cannot allow another surprise attack on our core world."

Valara nodded slowly in understanding as a chill ran down her spine. Hardly a shock though. The One Sith were an industrial power-house and they worked efficiently. Surprisingly efficiently. That had been the mistake of the Republic. Most of the other Sith empires had been rather sprawling and disunified in their efforts. Something that now plagued the Republic itself.

The most important step is always the next one
Her flanges quivered as she sat behind the other Officers with the pilots, her fingers tightly clasped together as her reptilian eyes followed the conversation and the graphics on the holomap. She had only flown two flights since her graduation...

The Sith pilots had been training for this day for gods know how long. Her sharp teeth were clenched but she stayed quiet. It was not her place to speak among Admirals and Captains.

"At the moment, Republic High Command has been working on a plan of defense, should we have to face the enemy at home..." She motioned to Anaxes at the map. "However, we cannot allow ourselves to forget our Jedi friends on the otherside." She would then motion to Tython. "Preparations are in order to assist the Jedi in whatever capacity, that being said..." She paused and looked to each individual in the room.

"I'm asking for volunteers..." She motioned to a brief battleplan that displayed on the holoprojector. "These individuals will be apart of a specialized unit which will have specific objectives as directed by high command."

Atticus chuckled to himself for a moment before standing up.

"Admiral consider me volunteered."

Atticus retook his seat without another word

Valara gave a small, tight smile. This was progress now, and momentum. It might manage to overturn the inertia of complacency that had been plaguing the Navy lately. She stood for a moment, "I volunteer as well, Admiral."

She retook her seat and waited to see the results of what might occur.
