Soco-Jarel is the main port of entry into Socorro
Description: Soco-Jarel Spacesport almost rivals the neighboring Vakeyya city in size. Stretching for several kilometers from the city, the port is a sprawling mass of inner docking pads and outer flight moors.
The port can hold nearly 2,000 small ships and transports within it's inner pads and another 500 on the outer moors looping around its perimeter. Situated on one end opposite the city are two giant towers acting as the control hub of the entire facility.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Baliscon Towers - The tallest man-made features of the Socorran landscape, these twin behemoths are the control hubs of the entire facility. At the top of both towers, retired Black Bha'lir act as the controllers and direct the flow of day to day traffic.
The remaining levels of the towers are dedicated to docking and repair bays, lodging, and medical facilities for the Black Bha'lir. It's on these levels that ship modification, both legal and illegal, are of the best quality. A non affiliated spacer can gain access but at a steep cost. 1,500 credits a day opposed to the 30-40 a day elsewhere in the port.
The Customs Stop - Soco-Jarel's entertainment and food hub. On immediate entry a giant wrap around counter greets you with a wide variety of drink and food seletion. It's not cheap, a meal cost the same as the standard docking fee, but good food never comes without cost.
Deeper inside the pazaak tables come into view along with an assortment of various games of chance. If a smuggler forked out for a stay in Balisco towers, they may have recieved a generous line of credit for the gambling tables.
Scattered round the booths, a scoundrel can find Black Bha'lir infochants and recruiters to get pilots and crews back into making profits on a regular basis.
SECURITY
Rating: High
•150-200 Hired Socorran Security
• 20-30 Black Bha'lir henchmen

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Soco-Jarel spacesport has been a fixture of Socorro since before the Empire of antiquity. Playing a vital role in the planets economics and social structure, it's changes have been minimal if any at all over the ages. As long as the symbiotic relationship between crime and the planet exists, it's doubtful anything will ever change other than the occupants who oversee it's daily functions.
Aquato Basilcon, The Caelli-Merced Syndicate, and various other criminal organizations have played administrator over 'the stargate of the city.' With the planets lack of government, it's desire for continued autonomy, and the peoples near fanatic approach in maintaining the native tribe cultures, criminal groups have always been then chosen option on who decides what comes in and what leaves out of Socorro. Who better to keep out government and corporate greed than the very people who undermine those institutions as a profession.
The latest to overtake the port, the Black Bha'lir, not only continue in this tradition of safeguarding Socorran culture, but use the port as a means of operating their criminal organization and spreading it's influence through out the galaxy.
