Can't Buy Me Stability (OS Dominion of Neimoidia)

[member="Bard of the Hyperlanes"]

'Is the White Current a seperate entity from the Force, or is it an aspect of. Does the Force mold itself to fit in our narrow perspective, perhaps?' he countered the questions with others. 'Why can the Matukai develop someone's force sensitivity, when there was none to begin with?' This much had been mused by his fragments for a long time now, consensus was that- well, there wouldn't be any fun in that, now would it.

"I'll take those two rhetorical or research questions as one. My working hypothesis for the first part is that the Force is comparable to the electromagnetic spectrum. Jedi and Sith teachings give access to a portion of the Force spectrum, like the eye gives access to the portion of electromagnetism that we call visible light. The White Current may be another portion of the Force spectrum, like ultraviolet or infrared in the analogy, or like Vongsense in the Force spectrum. The fact that it can be learned by those who aren't considered testably Force-sensitive, like Matukai arts, indicates a few things. One is that our tests relate only to the portion of the Force spectrum, though we can't assume a one-to-one correlation between the portion or portions of the spectrum covered by the standard tests and the portion covered by what's called Force-sensitivity. Another is that a different subset of the galactic population contains the innate possibility of becoming sensitive to other portions of the Force spectrum, but lack the tests and methodologies and traditions to recognize and reach their potential, whatever that might look like. I'd imagine, based on the rareness of traditions like the Matukai and White Current, as well as precedents like Vongsense, that the generally accessible portion of the spectrum is not much larger than what includes the recognized Force, the White Current, and Vongsense, in the same way that most species' eyes can see spectra in the region of visible light, infrared, and ultraviolet, but not so far as radio waves or gamma rays."

Parash shrugged.

"It's a hypothesis."

Finally a smile then, impressed? Perhaps. The point was that neither Carach nor Ovmar had ever met a man or woman who had been pondering such thought, why? how? They just accepted it and moved on, using the Force, Current, Magicks - whatever their specialty was - as a way to hammer things or solve their short-term problems.

Besides, if Monroe had sent him and if he was here to do what Carach think he was here for? He could be valuable.

‘Well put.’ he finally replied. ‘I can use you.’

‘But there are no take-backs, she sent you here and so I assume you know the risks. There will be a cost, a high one and in the end you might not think it was worth the prize. Last chance to get out.’

"They cut her hands off, then her eyelids. They filled her with Devaronian blood poison. So I made her new hands and new eyes and invented something you wouldn't believe just to keep her blood clean, and all of those were stopgap measures. Band-aids. There is nothing that will convince me to stop. Costs?" Parash snorted. "My utility functions are calibrated. I will pay any incidental price and any foreseen price that is necessary."

Behind his mask the Sith frowned in disgust, why… who would do such a despicable thing? Oh sure, he was a Sith Lord in his own right, alright, but that didn’t mean you had to go the nine yards to get all the evil points, some things… you just didn’t do.

In his own professional opinion, even evil had standards.

He nodded.

‘Then welcome to my world, Darth Parash.’

It hadn't been precisely complicated since the beginning but she had to admit that after forcing a Neimoidian drone into submission through the use of her natural manipulative skills, the next one became easier...and easier...and easier.

By now it only took her a minute more or less to turn a savage and rampaging machine into an efficient, docile and productive worker. This also meant that she was now able to engage larger groups but that she also got to destroy less drones. This made her both annoyed and satisfied, she would be less bored if she simply destroyed the machines but she couldn't help but feel proud of herself for being able to pacify them quicker than at the beginning, her ego was easily inflated apparently...

Amaethon had reached the end of his assigned section. He supposed the fun, as it were, was over. The drones were either dead or cooperative, and so it would appear, mission accomplished.

"Section secure."
