Caves And Tricks

Outside must have been chaos. A body running like mad even though it showed no signs of life, a trail of confrontation and confusion. All leading to a dark cave within a forest. Inside seated seven chairs. All beings in the chairs bound to them, all with the same face. And all but one showing signs of life. A cruel tune played from hidden audio players within the cave and flickers bounced off the walls of the rocky surface.

Those outside had come looking for the prince of Drogheda, to find him and restore the throne that the cultists had so quickly taken over. It was what they had been asked to do, called in to aid the planet. But there was much trickery involved here. Deception, unknown factors. They would have to tread lightly.

Things were getting stranger with this situation, there lied what appeared to be a dead body on the ground. It had no life force that Yuroic could detect and he was sure that they would have to find the people who murdered the prince in cold blood. However, the body moved, it ran away from them. "Well, that wasn't a real being. Must have been a droid, heard about ones who could project themselves as real people." Yuroic spent many years reading through books and holocrons in the Jedi Library on Kashyyyk. While he wasn't a tech-head on this stuff, he knew that droids like that existed. The mere sign that it did not possess anything remotely like a real human would, at least the droid he read about couldn't.

"We need to tread carefully, this is clearly a trap set for us." Yuroic stated as he looked over at his companions. When they reached the seven 'princes' bound in the chairs, Yuroic pointed to the one without a heartbeat, clear in his head as he could sense it. "That isn't our prince, but these others are going to be harder to tell apart. Bar causing harm to them, I'm not sure how we will tell a difference between them. Any ideas?" Yuroic stated in a cool tone, there needed to be care when they moved forward with this.

For most of this mission, Jairdain had almost been useless. Only able to contribute something now and then. She was able to tell how recently the trail had been walked on by a living person and it hadn't been very long. Long enough the plants had only just started to recover from being stepped on. A few hours at the most. The depth of them also indicated a weight was being carried. This went hand in hand with the theory the Prince had been taken against his will.

"I don't think the trap is meant for us personally, but for anybody that came to rescue him. One thing I doubt they took into consideration was our ability to use the Force. There is an easy way to find out which one the Prince is, but I am reluctant to use it."

Drain Knowledge. She went on to tell her group of the skill and how it could be used. Both the pros and cons of using it and what could happen if it was done poorly. At one point in time, she had used it on Yuroic at his request and while he had recovered...it had been poorly by her. Then again, she hadn't been the most stable herself at the time.

Now she waited to hear what the others had to say and made her own observations about the cave and the princes within.
