The Laminorian culture has a very long history, dating back thousands of years. Their earliest ancestors were fishermen, hunters, and gatherers. As their numbers grew, they moved inland and began to build permanent settlements. This nation is presently ruled by a council of three individuals who govern the entire nation. The council consists of a Prime Minister, a First Consul, and a Second Consul. These three people work together to rule the country and are elected into power by tribal representatives (chieftains).


Cultural Development:
The River Nation of the Laminorian resides in the Moorlynn Bayou. They live in lush verdant jungles and vast winding rivers.

Their culture is very tribal. They are a patriarchal society, and they believe in the importance of family. They believe in keeping their family together and making sure everyone stays happy and healthy. Stronger and more visually impressive males tend to boast harems of several women. They are also very protective of their young, and they raise them to be strong and independent. They teach their children how to hunt and fish, and they give them their own personal weapons so they can defend themselves when needed.

The Laminorians have developed a unique language of their own. They have a musical quality to their voices that is difficult for humans to imitate. Each tribe may have a unique dialect, and it is not spoken by many people outside of their own tribe. Despite living in the Jungles and Rivers they have advanced technology that boasts of sophistication and elegance. They have created things such as tools, machines, and weapons. They have even built a few ships and have learned how to sail across the seas. They have been able to create and make advancements in all areas of science, including engineering, medicine, and agriculture. They hold importance to songs within their religion and their history is kept through the oration of these songs. They have a currency based on pearls.


Physical Traits:
The Laminorian females are more laid back than the males. They prefer to stay closer to the jungle and spend most of their time in the trees. They don't care much for the water and instead prefer to hunt small animals and insects that live in the treetops. Their cities are comprised between trees and rivers. They like to keep a close eye on each other and their children. They tend to be less aggressive than the males, and they are more concerned with looking after their young.

Laminorians appear as part human and part serpentine.
They are huge creatures that tower over humans, but they are much more slender than the Marbrecretians. They have long, sinewy limbs and graceful bodies. Their heads are reptilian and serpentine in appearance, with three pairs of forward-facing eyes, and their mouths are filled with rows of needle-sharp teeth.

Laminorian females are a bit larger than their male counterparts, and they also have a longer lifespan. Their skin ranges from any number of colors and often displays fanciful patterns. Their scales are smooth and shiny with iridescent qualities with some bio-luminescence under patterns. Their heads are just as colorful as their scales. The Males of this species tend to be more colorful and more aggressive than the females. Their fingers are tipped with quill-like talons and their hands are webbed with four fingers.

The Laminorian males are a lot more muscular than the females, and they have longer arms and legs. Their necks are much thicker than the females, and they have smaller ears and longer more vibrant tails. They are a semi-aquatic species and spend most of their time in the water. When they do venture out of the water, they tend to stay near the shoreline. Their upper half is more humanoid in appearance but elongated. They have gills along their rib cages and possess lungs beneath. Their lower halves look more kin to a cross between a serpent's tail and long attached fleshy fin materials along the back that serve as visual displays for attracting mates.

The Laminorian males have two large spikes on the sides of their heads, and their tails are thick and bulky. Their claws are sharp and are capable of tearing through most bio mass with ease. They are quite territorial and will attack any other male who enters their territory/home without permission.

The Laminorian females have shorter arms and tails compared to the males, but their necks are still much thinner. They like to adorn their hair with shells, beads, and scrimshaw works. Their scales are very thin and delicate. Their tails are usually adorned with decorative shells and jewels.

More successful or more magnificently colored males tend to boast Harems of several wives.

History:

In the early days of Marbrecretian history, the desert tribes lived in isolation from each other. But then the Marbrecretians discovered a new source of water. A river flowed out of the mountains and ran across the desert. This river was the source of the Marbrecretians' wealth and prosperity.

At first, the Marbrecretian tribes fought among themselves over the new source of bounty the river's cool waters brought. But then they realized that they had to unite to defeat the common enemy, the Desert Horde. The Marbrecretian tribe that conquered the Desert Horde became the strongest tribe in the desert. And thus, the Marbrecretian Empire was born.

The Marbrecretians then built a great city in the center of the desert where the river pooled into a great oasis. This city was called the City of the Eos. In this city, the Marbrecretians built the largest temple in the Desert. This temple was the Temple of the Eos. It was built so that the Marbrecretian Kaiser could worship the sun. The Kaisers believed that the sun would bring them victory in battle.

This desert Nation of the Marbrecrectian Empire rests in the Whispering Badlands. Today it is an absolute authority with Elected leaders chosen through feats of renown through combat and skill.

The desert nation of the Whispering Badlands is known for its vast deserts and large population of nomadic tribes. The desert is a dry, hot place where the sun beats down on the sand for days at a time. The people of the desert live a simple life, but they are tough and resourceful. Their culture is one of hardship and survival. They do not rely on technology or technology-based systems for their needs; instead, they rely on their own two hands and the skills they have learned over the years.

The Marbrecretian's believe that life is a struggle. They see the desert as a place of challenge and survival. They live by the same principles as the animals in the desert; they survive by their wits and their physical strength. Their culture is harsh, and they tend to be very competitive with one another. A Marbrecretian warrior might choose to fight with a sword, or he may choose to fight barehanded. He may fight with a bow and arrow, or he may use his own two hands to fight. Each warrior chooses the weapons and fighting style that best suits him. This is true of the warriors of the Marbrecretian army as well. A Marbrecretian soldier fights with whatever weapon is available to him at the time. If he has a gun, he uses that weapon. If he has a knife, he uses that knife. If he has a bow and arrow, he uses that bow and arrow.

Their society is also a meritocracy. Those who excel in battle are rewarded with positions of power and authority. The less able or skilled are shunned and mocked. The strong rule the weak, and the poor serve the rich. This system allows them to survive in the harsh desert environment.

Marbrecretes are incredibly protective of their young, especially their female children. Marbrecretians send the male children to be taught how to hunt and fight by their fathers, and the females take care of the younger children and care for the elderly.
Their family life often is one of struggle. Parents try to provide for their children, but sometimes they fail. Children must prove themselves worthy of the gift of life that has been given to them.

Marbrecretian children are often raised communally. They are taught basic survival skills and taught to fight when they become adults. Youngsters are expected to work hard for their parents and their tribe. There is little room for selfishness or laziness. Horn size is a good telltale sign of a Marbecretian's age. Marbrecretian's value education above all else. Education is seen as a way to improve oneself and one's position in society. Marbrecretian schools teach many subjects, including philosophy, history, martial arts, tactics, and language.

Marbrecretians marry very young. Once married, they usually stay together for life. They are a matriarchal, and patriarchal society. Women hold social power in their homes, and men respect women greatly. Women are the bringers of life and their role in the community is a vital one.

Marbrecretian culture has an extreme patriarchal slant and expectations of their men. Men are expected to be warriors, hunters, and protectors. They are also expected to take care of their families. If a man cannot do this, he will not be allowed back into the home
Marbrecretian culture is obsessed with honor. Honor is everything to them. They are fiercely loyal to their Kaiser, who is elected by his peers.

The Marbrecretians' religion is a very militaristic one. Marbrecretians believe that they were created by the gods. They believe that they are special and that the rest of the universe was created just for them. They believe that their way of life is the only right one and that other ways are inferior. They believe that the Marbrecretian way of life is superior to any other. Their religion teaches that life should be lived by the sword. Life is a constant struggle for survival, and those who can win against all odds become the strongest. It is better to die with honor on the field of battle than to die of thirst in the desert. Their beliefs also extend to the afterlife. After death, they believe that one's spirit goes to the Hall of Ancestors, where it meets with one's ancestors. From there, they will be judged by their ancestors, and either given a reward or a punishment. Those who were deemed worthy will be allowed to join their ancestors in paradise. The unworthy will be condemned to wander the desert forever.

The Marbrecretian race are towering massive humanoid creatures, standing at over seven feet tall. Their skin comes in a variety of colors and tones ranging from dark blue, to almost black, with a tinge of green but can come in any color. They have thick brows and heavy foreheads often adorned with hard sharp horn-like protrusions, and their eyes are sharp and slanted, and they radiate a faint bio-luminescent glow in the dark. They have massive 'paws' and their hands and feet are heavily clawed. They possess membranous bat-like wings they can fold about themselves and often use to regulate their body temperature in the desert heat. They have long, muscular tails that are usually held straight out behind them when partaking in gliding. They can glide on thermal currents but do not possess real 'flight'.

Marbrecreters have always been a warrior race, and are extremely proud of their physical strength. Marbrecreter males tend to be more muscular and robust than females, but this is not always true. Females can grow up to be as strong and physically capable as males, but in most cases, they choose to devote themselves to child rearing instead.

  The Sanguiorian worship and hold in high regard large bestial creatures that live in the harsh lands of Everwinter. These beasts are ferocious and dangerous. They are bred to fight and kill. Only the most skilled of fighters can tame these monsters. Only the very wealthy can afford to keep these beasts as pets. They are massive and resemble large furred mammals with four limbs stout paws, killer claws, and snarling maws.
  
  The Sanguiorians have a complex religion. They exhibit very shamanistic traits and are also associated with spirits and demons. There are many spiritual entities and concepts that they worship. The primary god is the Gods of Ice, Earth, and Fire represented in the sky by Eos, Oceanus, and Pilos. They are the ultimate source of strength, knowledge, and wisdom.
  
  The largest group of followers are the Sun God's worshippers. The Golden Father represents life and warmth. It is the power of the sun that keeps Everwinter warm and alive, the power that drives the winds of change and the seasons.
  
  Next are the worshipers of the Green Mother. She is the mother of all things. She represents the green land of Everwinter and the fertility of nature. Her priests are often seen as wise and learned men. They care for the health of the land and preach a message of balance between their people and nature.
  
  Lastly there are the worshipers of the White Daughter. She is the daughter of the Sun God and the Green Mother. She is the goddess of Ice and Winter. She is the protector of the people of Everwinter. She is the bringer of storms and ice. She represents the concept of death. She is the mistress of the dead and it is said she visits those who are dying to spirit away their souls to the land of eternal rest.
  
  The Sanguiorians believe that the world is eternal and that the world will continue eternally. The world has existed since time immemorial and will exist forever.
  
  There are a few small cults dedicated to specific spirits, known as the Old Ones.

Because of this, the Sanguiorians rarely interact with other races. When they do, it's usually because of business deals, or a desire to expand their territory. They enjoy a challenge and are prone to be quick to temper, often portrayed as hot-blooded, fierce, and arrogant with a love for competitive exhibitions of strength and skill.

History:
The nation of Everwinter is home of the fierce Sanguitorian race.

Everwinter is a warriors' society, and it is governed by a council of warlords that support an Absolute Monarchy. The warrior caste is highly respected, and most of the population is made up of soldiers. This is due to the fact that the region is rich in natural resources, and the army must be strong to protect them. The fur trade is also important for Everwinter, and they sell pelts from the local animals to other nations.

The Sanguiorians have been living in the mountains for hundreds of years, and they have made it their home. They live in villages that are made up of family units and clans, and they maintain their territories by hunting down dangerous animals and protecting them from others. This gives them the luxury of having access to more food than they could ever eat themselves and also allows them to use their skills for fur and crystal trades.
Everwinter is a harsh land of snow, ice, and glaciers. The climate is cold, and it is not always easy to survive here. But there is one thing that makes this place livable: the magical crystals found throughout the region. These crystals are the source of Everwinter's wealth, and they are used to power the city's buildings, heat homes, and run machinery.

The Sanguiorians have a strict caste system. The lowest class are slaves, who do menial tasks and serve as fodder for the upper classes. They also serve as food for the carnivorous furs. The second class are servants, who serve the nobility and work as administrators and merchants. The third class are warriors, who fight for the nobles and protect their property. Finally, the fourth class are artisans, scientists, and sorcerers. The higher you rise in rank, the more money and power you get. The Sanguiorians have a rigid set of laws and customs that govern every aspect of their lives. There is no crime in Everwinter, but if you break the law, your punishment will be severe.


The Sanguiorians have a strong military presence. They have an elite force of warriors called the Knights of the Silver Sword. They are a group of fighters whose primary purpose is to protect the King and defend Everwinter.

They have an avid air force in the form of mounted soldiers taught to ride winged beasts. They are the first line of defense against any enemies that approach Everwinter. These beasts can fly for long distances and carry heavy loads. They are able to withstand the cold and windy conditions of Everwinter. They must eat and be fed a phosphine-bearing rock-like mineral called igneousite.

Igneousite allows these winged beasts the ability to reign fire from above. The Sanguiorians call these creatures "fire birds" or "fire beasts" or "fire-lizards".

the Sanguiorians have a secret society that protects them and the royal family. It is called the Brotherhood of the Blue Rose. This brotherhood acts as a police force for the royal family and the nation, although they work in secret.
Cultural Development:
Everwinter is an icy wasteland, covered with snow and ice year-round. The temperature drops below zero Fahrenheit at night, and the wind blows hard enough to cause frostbite in seconds. Everwinter has two major exports: furs and magic crystals. Furs are sold all over the continent, and they make excellent weapons and armor. Magic crystals are used in everything from lightsabers to medical equipment to grand lighting fixtures.

They have a culture that subsides primarily on meat and hunting.

The Sanguiorian king is the highest leader of Everwinter. He rules over his subjects with an iron fist. The king is responsible for leading the army, managing the treasury, and maintaining order in Everwinter. The king is determined through trial by combat among those of the council of warlords, and he serves a lifetime term before their offspring may reign in their passing. Any member of the Warlord Council may challenge the present King at any time. These are honor duels and no one else but the two combatants may participate. If any others on the Warlord council wish to Champion their current leader the challenger must first face any and all champions before he may have the right of trial by combat with the current ruler. Their leadership holds a large harem of potential mates and the goal is to ensure the raising of strong leaders groomed for the position. The young princes and princesses are often taught by those who reside on the Warlord Council. To become a member of the Warlord Council one must prove them self worthy through combat and be noticed by current Warlords and be elected in or to challenge a current Warlord for their own position.

Family units have a culture of deferring to the head of the household and that can be male or female. The head of the household is typically the most physically fit and prime member of the house. Any member of the household may challenge their head at any time. Both monogamy and polyamory are commonly exhibited in this culture. However, arguments about preferences are not uncommon.
Children are taken at the age of 7 to begin training for their caste. Once they reach adulthood, they become members of the military, and they spend their entire lives serving their country if called upon.

Their warriors grow long manes of hair and have a tradition of attempting to finish duals and fights among one another deathlessly by whoever can severe a lock of hair from the other opponent first. Particularly good warriors boast of how many locks they've severed, the number of times they've killed their opponents, and flaunt their own length of well-kept, often intricately decorated, or braided hairstyles. They wear symbols of merit and recognition within their quaffed manes. To have your hair cut in a dual is considered an extremely shameful failure and a shortcoming for a warrior. The more that is cut the more shame is felt. These rituals and traditions surrounding the length of intricate hair are a big topic of importance among their race. Particularly excellent warriors tend to have longer more elaborate hair styles. Conversely, their slave caste often has their hairstyles short and cropped.

Tattoos, scarification, and other body modifications are traditional and popular status symbols amongst their kind. The more intricate their body art the more wealthy, and affluent they appear to their peers. Those who hold more clerical venues of work or station often decorate their attire elaborately in beads, crystals, scrimshaw works, worked metal jewelry, and tokens or trophies from particularly challenging hunts.

One's public Reputation and Pride are paramount in the Sanguiorian culture. They have many small rituals and actions based on the ideas of public image ad reputation. Right of passage as an adult is very important to their public image as well. Adults are venerated productive members of society whereas children are seen more as burdens and weaklings.
Many small actions seemingly innocuous to other races have great meaning here.

For example: Picking someone up and carrying them can be seen as an extremely insulting gesture. Only children are to be carried around.
Serving someone a glass of milk is also demeaning and insulting. Only children drink milk. (particularly babies)
Physical Traits:

The Sanguiorians are rugged and strong people of a very tall nature, with skin so pale that they look almost translucent. Their hair ranges through most natural human colors with the additions of blues, pinks, and violets, and their eyes are usually red but can be any color. Their bodies are heavily muscled, and they have a powerful build often being at very least twice as strong as a well-built human/near humans. They sport fangs and shortened snubbed pointed ears. They are densely built and warm-blooded. During battle, their emotion triggers an ability that causes their bodies to go into overtime reproducing blood. They can sustain heavy wounds in battle before bleeding out, however, this is also a curse of theirs for those who are hot under the collar can become sickened pained, or worse if they do not release the excess somehow. They have amazing eyesight in the snow and in the dark and have above-average senses of hearing and smell.
