Chains of Force bind me not. (Training request)

A slow grin spread across Velok's tusked face. "Oh, I think we can find you a fight, never fear."

They stood on the front steps of the huge factory, looking down at a road dotted with other old factories. Velok descended to the road, where a Sith acolyte supervised the reconstruction of one of the factories. Well, 'superivised' was a poor choice of words -- she stood there and looked impressive while the job foreman did the work.

"You, Temnia."

The acolyte, a powerfully built woman, bowed. "Lord Velok."

"We find ourselves with a new friend, you seem to find yourself in need of something to do. Test our friend's abilities in combat, won't you?"

Temnia was a Sith Warrior, and she lunged at Vyperion immediately, swinging her crimson lightsabre in a wide decapitating cut.

The lightsaber was blocked by a Songsteel plate, Vyperion simply said "A bit too quick to judge a fight and assume you can get an instant kill." then moved his wrists into position and activated his flamethrowers

The Warrior backflipped away, her face surprised and her robe scorched. Maybe more than her robe, to Velok's eyes.

The Warrior set her feet, though, and roared. Her hand shot out, and a massive Force blast ripped up the ground, attempting to strike the droid and shove him into a nearby wall.

Since Vyperion wasn't doing anything in particular, the Warrior kept one hand raised, pressing him against the wall with telekinesis. With the other hand, she threw her lightsabre, looking to jam the point between potential gaps in his armor.

As the Warrior dive-rolled to the side, taking a glancing blow from the chest cannon, Velok growled and held up his hands.

And everything froze. The droid, the Warrior, the lightsabre that was in midair, about to destroy the droid.

"You have to respond to the attack," he growled. "You have to dodge it or block it, but you can't just ignore it, or you die. Clear enough?"

He released them all, and the lightsabre returned to the injured Warrior, who roared and took a powerful swing at the droid's legs.

The warrior shrugged and put her lightsabre's blade emitter to Vyperion's side.

"Stop!" Velok roared. "Vyperion, that is not how you fight for self-preservation. You can't assume that everything is going to work just right. Putting a full Sith in a compromising position like that -- a hand around her throat, a weapon to her gut -- is all well and good...if it comes at the end. You can't use endgame moves until the end of the fight. You just left yourself wide open, and right now I'm inclined to let the two of you kill each other. But that would be a waste of resources."

A powerful Force grip shoved them apart.

"You can try to do those things, Vyperion, but you can't go so fast as to assume that they work, or you'll leave yourself open to all manner of nastiness."

"I apologize, I guess my century of simply roaming and seven years of protecting against things that can hardly hurt me has made me weak compared to most of the Sith Empire." Vyperion said frowning, then started to smirk quickly and said "But the Songsteel has no gaps, so... yeah... if this went on any longer, that endgame move probably could have worked even if I had to do it twice."
(Part of the reason I regret using Vyperion the way he is now is cause of the amount of Songsteel armor being unspecified and due to that factory still working, he's still technically immortal via upgrade after death.)

OOC/ All right, let's talk about this, then. Your bio says 'lighstabre resistant to a degree', and that's fine, but seamless songsteel protection is sort of an issue. Ashin has armor that stops a lightsabre, and it's been approved, but it has large gaps and I had to do a long thread RP'ing its creation. It's best to assume that your defenses can probably stop a glancing blow, but the songsteel plates will heat up and eventually melt. A more direct strike may punch through. Seamless armor is a problem -- don't do it. :D See how un-fun it is to be overpowered?

(I realized that last night, even the length of the droid's existence seems weird to me, then again, I also realized the Sith Empire would be making Vyperion MK I droids in MK III body types and feature amount. Plus, did you see who I intend to replace Vyperion with?)

OOC/ I really, really like the new character. You might want to add another weakness to his bio, but I think you'll have much more fun with that one. Now, giving this one some solid weaknesses and toning him down would make him more fun to play.

(Agreed. I still intend to put this OC into stasis at some point in this RP, perhaps using Vladimir Tedesky as my account character instead will help me, plus, I made him in Soul Calibur 5 once using Devil Jin's style, and I remember the clothes I gave him.)

OOC/ Tedesky...I really like the sound of that. You want to move this thread in the direction of stasis? Velok can judge that the droid is too powerful, and he could decide to lock Vyperion in stasis. Your call.

(Yeah, I feel I can do better with a mortal than a machine now. Stasis is a good option for this to end without too much aggravation on Velok's part. In the regret thread, I said this as a note to this faction "Start making the Vyperion series of Assassin droids at some point, but leave Vyperion-1 out of it, please" because I gave Velok Vyperion's schematics earlier in this RP.)

Velok frowned, pondering. The droid was...well, too powerful. Too unpredictable.

Fortunately, he did not require a fair fight's techniques in order to incapacitate it. The Jedi and the Sith had long known the art of disabling droids, and Velok had once stumbled across a vestige of the more advanced art known as mechu-deru. It would allow him to control electronics with the Force and with Sith magic. Now he began to mutter an incantation designed to shut down the assassin.
