Changing Fate

"It does... with practice. We will continue lessons like this each day we are able. So long as you desire to train. I cannot show you everything, but I can show you along the start of the path," Antera knelt again, reaching into another of the boxes she'd set out earlier, and produced a small disk of a chitinous leather material. As soon as her fingers closed around it, the chiss's already muted presence in the Force faded even further from Legion's newly awakened perceptions.

"I have a gift for you as well... I want you to keep this on your person from now until I say otherwise, Legion. Think of it as... a lucky charm. Something my master gave to me, and now I give to you," she extended her hand towards the Sithspawn, fingers out and palm up. The amulet was simple, and a plain length of durasteel chain formed it into a necklace, "It will conceal your growing link to the Force from those who may... attempt to exploit it."

Legion

Acid-beet Enthusiast
"Thank you, M-Miss @Antera."

Legion bowed her head to express her gratitude, though at the mention of the gift she returned her attention to her chiss friend, her brows knitting together curiously. The disorienting sensation that passed over her as soon as her cobalt-skinned friend clasped the leather disk made the girl purse her lips; it reminded her of passing through a tunnel. As it was offered to her, her brows lifted. She was hesitant to take it but did eventually extend her clawed fingers to carefully accept the trinket.

"T-Thank you very much! B-But will your master w-want it back someday?" she inquired, gently sliding the necklace over her head and lifting her hair to allow it to rest against her skin.

The idea of being pursued and used was hardly new territory. After all, the lab she'd occupied since birth was hidden and even at a young age she was aware of the fact that her mother had enemies who would be delighted to acquire one of Disir's ... experiments.

"Strange ... I d-do not feel different," she mused, offering her friend a warm smile.
