Character Accents in rp

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner

I've been there. Though most of the time when I travel across the pond, it's to visit family in Sittingbourne and Ipswich. My in-laws have that South London accent while my hubby's is more refined.

I have a question for all the people who say British accent, which part of Britain?
As the accent changes roughly ever 30-50 miles, and the difference can be quite big.

As for my other characters:
  • Tegaea having a New England/North-Eastern accent.
  • Aurelia (may she rest in peace) had an extremely strong Queen's English accent.
  • Phylis has a gentler English accent, Public School Eton style.
  • Kyrana has a fairly generic accent from somewhere in the US.
  • Tempest has a South African accent.
  • Anya and Illyria have Eastern European overtones, but both fairly faint now due to their long exposure to Basic.
  • Kalinai has a Deep South accent...probably by choice.
  • Maelion has a very neutral accent, flat and clipped.

Well mine are these

Sabrina, has Lancaster accent
Elaine, Has a Californian accent
Harley has southern state accent like in the cartoons
Rhodessa Swedish accent
Freanne Norfolk
Flora has scouse accent
Thelma (I have no idea)

Considering Vulps is based a lot on his writer(especially all the little things), He has a slight Texan Accent. Though unlike the writer it doesn't increase when he's exited(usually). Generally, he growls and has a more doglike sound when excited or angry. As for how its portrayed. I simply don't give much attention to it. But it shows up now and then when Vulps says things like, "The hell is wrong with y'all?"

Léon

The King's Buccaneer

Accents in theory are good, but are incredibly annoying to read. Leon has an accent, rather than implementing it through his speech, I describe his accent. Gets the point across without irritating readers
