Private Chasing Clouds

Willow and Ivy were used to being watched, mostly by their guards and security. To hear that others were watching them too was a bit surprising.

Perhaps they should have looked into their futures more.

Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red 's answer on the Jedi did little to help matters. In fact it made them worse. The twins hesitated in some of their steps, yet they could feel the breaths of the yellow and purple haired ones directly behind them. "You can't take us for study! This is wrong! This is evil!"

"You are fake!! You are phoney! Broka will get you for this!!""

But their words were cut off seconds later as the explosions rocked the platform. The twins stopped then to look, to see Cloud City burning for themselves. So much innocent death....and all to take them away for research.

There was little that they could do for themselves. And as hopelessness began to sink in, Willow let out a terrifying scream. Ivy joined here mere seconds later, the twins holding onto eachother. Their scream wasn't just audible to the ears, but in the minds of those around them as well. Rarely did they access another's mind, mostly when it came to translating languages like they did with Broka. But now they used such skill as a weapon, to distract and hopefully harm their kidnappers.

Red looked back at them as they started accusing him. Willow yelled that they couldn't take them away for study, and that it was wrong and evil. What a... basic understanding of morals and fundamentals. Red was kind of disappointed that they were so simple-minded in their thinking. "The universe isn't that black and white." Red replied. "What's evil for you, could be good or neutral so someone else. If anything, this is more in a grayish area than down right evil." Red told her.

Ivy started screaming that he was a fake and a phony, and that Broka would get him for this. "Fake? Phony? Have I lied to you yet? No, I have not. I have been completely honest with you. As for Broka coming after me, great! I could use a good challenge, after all."

Then, suddenly, both of them began screaming. Something was odd about this scream, though. Then, suddenly, Red felt the tendrils of the Force reach out to their three captives. Red realized what this was quickly.

The twins were using the Force to attack them.

The purple-haired woman clutched her head, kneeling on the ground. The yellow-haired man was laughing maniacally, giggling in a state of almost pleasure. Red, however, had more control and resistance to the attack, but he could still hear it creeping into his mind. Clutching his ears, he shouted, "Incapacitate!"

Suddenly, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, a masked figure came out of seemingly nowhere. The figure wore all black, with a black jumpsuit and a balaclava covering their head. The figure jabbed two needles into them. One into Ivy, and one into Willow. Inside of the shots was a non-lethal neurotoxin that would make the twins lose control of their body, while still keeping them conscious. If it was effective, it would be a lot easier to get the twins to the ship.

Jedi were evil. That was how the twins saw them now. Not only had they attempted to 'free' them from apparent slavery, but now here was Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red kidnapping them to be studied. It was obvious that they didn't want to go, and yet their right to choice was being taken away.

Their scream worked. To a point. That is until the man with the creepy mask showed up.

The needles pierced their skin before they were able to react. Within seconds they collapsed to the ground. Their scream had stopped. With the building that they were in on Cloud City burning, they'd be foolish to try to stay behind and burn to death.

~Willow, I'm scared.~

~I know....Me too.~

~What are we going to do? I can't move.~

~I can't either. We'll just have to....hope that someone is compassionate to our plight.~

~Yes....I will try.~

The Assignment
Location: Cloud City
Importance: Urgent
Reason: Large Explosions, Battle Expected. Bespin is listed as an important planet.
Mission: Find out what is happening. Report findings directly to Heath Valhoun.

Before The Explosion
The Agent had landed moments ago to investigate what was happening. He didn't see anything yet but the source of this disruption would be easy to find due to the stream of people running. He would simply go where they were coming from. Plus the loud siren noise, and the distant sounds of fighting certainly didn't harm his efforts.

But by the time he got there he didn't see anything. Well, there were holes and scorch marks on the walls, and some dead people...but nothing living. He sent the message to Heath stating simply: "Arrived. Was a fight, combatants either dead or missing. Unidentified."

He looked at the bodies closer, but this revealed nothing. They were either armed civilians or private guards. That wouldn't be enough.

The Explosion
As The Agent investigated he felt that he was coming to a dead end. The killers had either left or they were hiding, and there was a full city to investigate. Time was important too, as The Elysium Empire surely wasn't the only nation to observe the battle.

Suddenly something rocked the whole city, knocking The Agent down. When he got to his feet, something felt
off. He checked his vitals...normal. Then he checked his altitude. His heart jumped. The City was falling, and he was falling with it. Meanwhile every turn he took led to a corridor filled with smoke and flames.

He had no choice but to run through them to get to his ship.

He didn't think, instead sprinting as fast as he could through the flames. He almost floated as his altitude dropped more and more rapidly. He didn't know if The City would recover, but he wasn't going to stay to find out, and he assumed the perpetrators wouldn't either. The problem was, once he was airborne, there was no chance of finding the escaping group among the hundreds of escaping civilians and tourists...

He would worry about that once he got there. For now, he needed to get there.

"Pick them up." Red said to the three other people standing around the twins. The purple-haired woman and the yellow-haired man grabbed their shoulders and lifted them up, draping each twins' arm over their shoulder. The masked figure approached them from the front, and looked at them. The figure put a finger to the mask, in a "Hush" expression.

"Alright, let's move out." Red told them. Then, carrying the twins, the group began to travel down the halls, headed towards an unknown destination.

It wasn't easy to lift the twins. Not that they were at all heavy, it was just that it was awkward. Two sets of arms and legs, two heads, all joined together at the hip and just below the shoulder. Yet still it was managed.

Willow and Ivy couldn't move or struggle. All that they could do was communicate with eachother as they were being carried, which meant that they still had access to the Force. However screaming again and causing them pain wouldn't help. Either they'd be left to burn or Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red would have the masked one give them something to make them lose consciousness. Neither of them wanted that. They wanted to have some idea of where they were going.

~If anyone can hear us! Please help! We are being kidnapped! Follow my voice! Hurry!!~ Ivy's voice rang through the Force.

Willow didn't chime in this time. She kept her focus on Red, for he seemed to be the ringleader. And he read differently than the others through the Force. She was deeply disturbed by it and him.

The 6"4 Agent ran as fast as he could, the altitude continuing to decline and thus alter his blood pressure, and defy gravity. Never had he experienced such a feeling. Floating mentally from the rapid change in pressure, and floating literally as the city fell. HE was so close to his ship...if indeed there was a ship left. He cut the final corner, diving through flames toward the blur that he knew to be his ship. It wasn't hard to recognize the sleek frame and four wings of an Elysium X-Class fighter, even when exhausted, with blurred vision.

Now crawling, grasping at anything solid to avoid losing control, The Agent entered the ship. As soon as he did he activated the engines, and closed the cockpit. The effects of the descent were now weakened but still very much present. Without any further actions The Agent put the engines to full power, leaving the falling city behind. Whether those still inside the city would get things under control or not was of no concern to The Agent.

But before he left, a strange message was transmitted to him from...somewhere. He took a deep breath, trying to figure out if he had heard the message or if he was imagining things. All of his comms were off, surely he was imagining the call for help? But it had been so clear....

He shook his head. It was nothing, but for his own sanity he would stay in Bespin's orbit for a moment more, just in case....

Red guided the group through the hallways. The City was beginning to lurch, and was beginning to tilt downwards. They continued down the hallways, headed for a landing pad. Soon, they reached a door, which opened, leading out towards a landing pad jutting out. Red lead the group out, heading for the ship on the landing pad. Two Quarantine Enforcers stood on the platform, right next to the ship. Then, a large AT-Hauler came down into view. The Quarantine Enforcers reached up, and grabbed hold of the Hauler. The Hauler then took off, carrying the two massive droids.

Red lead the group to the ship. There, two armored individuals stood at the ramp. Red and the group went up the ramp, climbing into the ship's hold. The two soldiers followed in after them, closing the ramp. The ship then shifted as it took off from the landing pad, and began flying away from Cloud City.

Standing in front of the group, Dr. Veinstein looked at the two incapacitate twins. He examined them, inspecting them. Then, he grinned. "Welcome, Willow, Ivy. We have been keeping an eye on you for a while. Welcome, to your new life." He said, grinning.

~It's not working, Willow! No one's coming!~

~I know, Ivy....I know.~

The twins could do nothing but watch and talk to eachother as they were taken on board of a ship to get away from the sinking city.

As Dr. Veinstein Dr. Veinstein examined them, they wanted to shrink away, but couldn't move. How long before the drug would wear off? How long before they could move?

They didn't need to ask him about what new life he was talking about, for they already knew. They had seen it in their nightmares. Hopefully Heath Valhoun Heath Valhoun would do as he promised and rescue them before the worst came to pass. Only death awaited them if he failed....
