Chief Don't Run

The last time he had been on Bespin, he had been nothing but a mere Acolyte. Ambushed in his own company's building. An oversight, he had made, thinking that he was safe merely because he was surrounded by his own people. By other Sith. Purebloods, through and through, though none knew them for who they were. Armour and cloaks concealed their identities. And still, his building had been infiltrated.

This time?

Armour covered him from his feet, all the way up to his neck. Nothing covered his head, closed spaces and all that, though that was a fear that had only surfaced recently. He hadn't even known it until a week ago.

Darsaud and Arvengis were on either side of him. Both of them his bodyguards. Usually, they were referred to as 'Left' and 'Right,' for they were twins, and those were the sides they had found themselves on when he brought them into his service.

Cloud City, was it?

The Sith Knight was there to purchase tibanna, or rather, to finalize a purchase of tibanna gas. What with its properties for enhancing the destructive force of laser based technology.

"Lord Vyrassu," Darsaud said, the trio slowed to a stop after a brief raise of A'sharad's arm.

"What is it?"

"The Dark Side is near," Arvengis answered in his brother's face. On his right side, A'sharad turned his head. Could it be? Had Darth Abyss returned to assault him once more?

"Find the source," A'sharad said to Arvengis. He was the strongest out of the trio, though A'sharad wouldn't admit to that. A Massassi warrior, standing nearly at seven feet tall, he made A'sharad appear short. Turning, he immediately set out, his large frame disappearing out the doorway they had just passed through. Vyrassu said nothing else as he turned on his heel and continued to his meeting.

Cloud City.

To the young, brooding Twi'lek, it was a place of both wonder and weakness - a crown rested on the lap of luxury, where vices could elate one to the heights of power, but also soften then to insipid spinelessness. It was only her first time here, but the prospect of what transpired here almost dizzied her. Truly, the possibilities were endless.

Nabrina walked down one of the many marble-white corridors of Bespin's Cloud City - haven for smugglers, scoundrels, gamblers and merchants alike, she had little place in it all - with no substantial amount of credits or assets to her name, let alone business acumen that was up to task. She felt like an oddity, an out-of-place anomaly straggling and wandering the famed city. In nothing but her rugged, black steelcloth cloak and utility boots, she walked past some of the most finely dressed corporates she'd ever seen. Executives and high-profile rollers barely noticed her, and the few who did only payed notice to her exotic appearance, or her homeless aesthetic.

What was I looking for here?

It had been a few weeks now since she entered space controlled by the First Order, and while at least for now her allegiances remained solely exclusive to the Sith, she could not help but be impressed by what the fledgling but fast-growing faction had accomplished, let alone the Knights of Ren. There was a remarkable allure to the dystopian order - a culture as bound by iron-fisted discipline and fanatical commitment ideals as it was by draconian subjugation at the hands of the Supreme Leader, or the mysterious Sieger Ren. She couldn't help but subtly hiss as she shook her head - dismissing the subsequent delusions of grandeur as she continued to turn around every other hall, not quite sure what she was there for, or where she was going.

And then, it hit her.

Someone was there - someone more attuned to the Force than virtually all else here. It stood out like the exact place where a pebble had just been dropped in a still pond. The little ripples in the Force were subtle, but noticeable nonetheless. Nabrina's headtails gently perked as her eyes widened. Her nostrils flared as she instinctually turned around, looking all around her to see if anyone, or anything, was there. Only a few moments later did she realize it was coming from around the corner. To hide? To run? To engage?

She didn't know, and didn't have the time to contemplate and conjure up an appropriate response. Simply giving into the Force and letting it in, she stood still - silently still as, with a deep breath, she steadied herself and just waited for whatever, or whoever was going to come around the pass and meet her at the far end of the hall.

Arvengis found what he was looking for a moment later.

Around the corner he went, and he spotted the Lethan. She was much shorter than him, likely a foot shorter than him. Arvengis's crimson orbs looked her up and down from the other end of the hallway. He knew what he was looking for, and when he had spotted it in person, he knew that she was the source. The Sith Pureblood walked forwards. A helmet was upon his head. Both of his hands raised to take it off, and when it was off, two face tendrils hung from his high, dense cheekbones. Thick eyebrow stalks on his face, coloured a slightly darker shade of red than he was.

If the girl didn't flee, he would've stopped in front of her.

"You've been summoned."

And just like that, Arvengis turned, walking back towards his Lord, A'sharad would be.

Meanwhile, A'sharad was within a meeting with one of the businessmen selling him tibanna.

"We have good business together here," A'sharad was saying. The meeting had just begun, but the Sith Knight wasted no time with pleasantries. "Your bulkhead doors are protected with cortosis that my company has mined," he explained. "Tibanna..." He started out slowly, "Be beneficial to the future of the First Order, and the rest of the Galaxy," he explained to the man that as the final barrier for acquiring the tibanna gas. He was needing to buy in bulk, and to have a stable supply for ships further down the line.
