City of Twilight

[member="Tyyni Oluja"]

The Twilight Sepulcher was a place the Silver jedi had, it was the crossroads of the force in many ways. Collecting, allowing those of different sects to come together in a form of harmony as opposed to battling and that gave them something few others really got to see. The force was strong here and in the crystal caves below honeycombing through the moon itself. There was a look on her face as the small knight was looking across the way when the ship was arriving on the moon itself. Going through the thick jungle canopy that was built special and interlacing across the top creating a semi roof to the city itself. Thick pillars that as the light was filtering through cast even with the sun the entire carved jedi temple in twilight. It was massive and built into the planet like a solid temple with the spires that the very tips came over the canopy itself allowing the different groups to come and check out the world itself. Quenladose herself was coming out of the ship and the different jedi that were roaming around to be able to see what they were were doing. This was where she was able to do much as her tri-colored eyes gleamed silvery in the twilight of the jungle. "Welcome to the Twilight Sepulcher padawan.

Twilight Sepulcher

Tyyni stared out the window as he and his master's ship went over the jungles of Shri-tal's moon. He had never been to such a lush planet. The wildlife outside was much more diverse than the forests of Voss. Tyyni couldn't help but grow a seed of excitement as they touched down in the Twilight Sepulcher, with other Jedi and miscellaneous Force-Users milling about. It felt exotic and strange, but the little Huttlet liked it.

Tyyni followed his master out of his ship, slinking along at a snail's pace. He smiled as Quenladose introduced him to the planet. "This place looks promising, Master. All of the life around us... It is different than Rhen Var. But... A good difference." Tyyni gestured out to the Force-Users milling about, a few taking double-takes at the Hutt Jedi.

Tyyni fingered a small white cylinder at his side. His lightsaber felt new from his training saber. More dangerous. But it gave him comfort, knowing that he could protect himself better with his weapon.

"So, where are we going to go?"

She had a small grin while moving and the looks of the spire towers as the different groups were moving about in them. You could tell which ones as the Matukai's tower was reinforced and more sturdy given they fought. The disciples tower was sleek with places to really test their skills. Same for the fallanassi tower that showed the white current users coming and going through the wall but for others it was solid. All about the skills you had until she arrived at the other tower where the different shapers were testing and showing all of their own skills. In the center the silver tower that the jedi themselves had for overseeing it and at its base the stairs leading down into th crystal mines. "It is, there are a lot of things here and on the moon itself that can test a jedi. The least of which are the different towers but this is a crossroads for jedi where they can see other things that the force is able to do. Even some witches are around here."

Tyyni followed behind his colorful master thoughtfully, slithering his body along the ground. Each person the two passed had a different texture of the Force in them. Some were light, flowing like a calming breeze. Some were darker. Some were simply one with the Force. Tyyni was brought back to the time he had met with a hermit on Dagobah, and her signature. A mix of light and dark, with interesting results.

"Witches?" Tyyni looked around slowly, seeing no obvious witchery. "Are you sure this place is safe?"

As the two passed the shapers, Tyyni couldn't help but stare, amazed, as a Shaper leaped into the air, and brought his fist down, forcing fire to roar up from the ground. "Woah." That was all Tyyni could say as the exotic Force-User continued his fire-shaping. The Huttlet blinked a few times, and continued forward, once more letting his Master take the lead.

She looked at him. "The witches are just like any other force user, only they call it a different name. Same as the shapers who come here and are not like all fo their darker siblings. The lightside of the force is just as important as anything else. It provides you with a number of benefits such as a longer life because your body is not becoming corrupted by the darkside of the force. The shapers some of them at least might not use the light but they are not always servants of the sith. Even some of the Ember of Vahl who fled the One Sith spread and presenting themselves as the false reincarnation of their goddess found their way here. They might not be the most hospitable but they understood the need and the danger of what was coming to them." She continued to look over more fo the things and sat down in a small area watching some fo the others as the shapers were fighting in a mock battle. Fire and wind going around.

Tyyni listened to his master, frowning. "Hmm... But the Jedi teach to avoid the Dark Side. Yet here are some practitioners. I understand that the Force means different things to different people, but if they directly conflict with the Jedi teachings, why do we learn alongside them?"

Tyyni followed his master until she sat, watching a couple of Shapers battle. Tyyni went alongside her, curling his body into a complex coil.

"And if they are allowed to learn with us, then why is the Dark Side so bad? Could I learn to shape?" Tyyni didn't particularly care for the idea of shaping, but the question was somewhat loaded. He wanted to pick the brain of his master.

She looked at him with a small frown. "Do you think all shapers are evil? All witches? They are not, the witches themselves are actually fairly good, the nightsisters who are with them are followers of the darkside and dangerous more often then nought. The ones who work with the jedi, who forge our equipment are from a planet where they use the force to forge and craft equipment, massive structures. This is the basis and heart of sith alchemy yet they serve the lightside of the force as jedi. Shapers can draw on the darkside, it is raw and primal to know how to use the elements but you don't have to. The jedi have learned for hundreds of years how to use the lightside to make the same force abilities but different in that they can use no emotion. Have balance instead of the chaos." She looked at him and pointed it out. "Look at them as the move, there is no darkness. It is using what thy were taught without emotion or aggression. Jedi do the same some of them, choosing to not have emotions and display peace in all situations. Some do not, in time you'll see that no jedi is made the same. Most are shaped in different ways, most have quirks and interests that will allow them to show different aspects of the overall code. Once you start trying to force a square peg into a round hole you are going to start thinking like the rest of the galaxy. That only your definition of a jedi is what matters. Then you become like the reformation where jedi are aiding sith to wipe out other jedi and prove they are the real jedi. Or what most people would call idiots."

Tyyni took a closer look as the Shapers battled. He saw what his master was describing; on their faces were no sign of anger, or fear, or any emotion at all. Only peace. From his studies, he had learned that shaping was an inherently dark-side ability. Then again, he had also learned that Force Lightning was a dark ability, yet he had seen a Padawan he went on a mission with use the technique. Tyyni still had plenty to learn about the Force, it seemed.

The Hutt grasped his chin with two fingers, tapping thoughtfully. "I suppose that makes sense, Master. We each must find our place in the Force." Tyyni nodded, content in his new lesson.

The Hutt jumped slightly as he felt the wind of the sparring session hit his face. "I am quite confident my place does not involve this, however. It looks too chaotic. I would rather stick to my meditations." Tyyni smiled slightly, looking to the short Jedi Knight. "But I do appreciate that we Jedi train with them here. The added disciplines would only strengthen our resolve in the Light."

Tyyni couldn't stop himself from clapping as the Fire Shaper slammed his fist into the side of the Air Shaper, sending the being flying into a nearby pillar. The bout below the Jedi had finished spectacularly.

"Shall we move on? What others are here to see? What will I learn today? How will I learn it?" Tyyni couldn't help but let his excitement go, eager to learn everything.

She looked at him and he seemed to be getting it, this was a place where all force sects came together without looking at attacking each other. Those who were violent or just here to conquer faced a great deal of opposition but there would likely be more when she spoke. "And would you rather learn about and face these techniques, these types of force use in the galaxy where they are trying to kill you or would you want to see them, learn how to cope and understand them. Just like any training it is better in a safe location without the risk of death." She looked from where she was as the sleek disciples tower was there but it wasn't opened yet. "We are here though because entrance to the tower is by permission. They'll open up to tell you if you can come in soon. Just relax and take in the other sights there. Not many people have seen matukai brawlers testing their strength or working wit jedi to show them how to use their meditations to purge poison from the body and have almost endless stamina."

Tyyni scrunched his face as Quenladose told him of the wait, then unscrunched as she suggest he observe more practices. He heard her say something about meditation. That had him hooked. "That sounds wonderful!" Without waiting for his master to follow, Tyyni used the Force to speed along the ground, looking for this meditation the Jedi had mentioned.

Eventually, he found what he assumed were the Matukai. They wore green and white robes, and each stood on one leg, breathing deeply. Their bodies moved slowly but powerfully, each handling a long spear-like weapon. Tyyni stopped a ways away, and watched them. What they were doing was like no meditation Tyyni had ever witnessed, but the palpable flow of the Force in them mirrored how Tyyni might calm his own mind. This was nothing like the Floating Meditation he had picked up on Rhen Var, but it was just as enticing.

"Oh." Tyyni studied their movements, trying to commit them to memory. Much of it was in the feet, as they swirled along the ground, so it was tough for the Hutt to translate. He smiled, enjoying their graceful display of meditation. It seemed there were indeed some Jedi in the mix as well, going through their respective motions. He admired their grace from afar, simply watching intently.

She was about to say that it wasn't the type of meditation he was thinking about fully when he was off and finding them. THe matukai were yeah they were some of the more interesting force users she had seen watching them as you could see the force less around them and more it was all internal. Their bodies showed where you could see them that their skin was stiff, like armor almost and their breathing was even. She looked at her padawan watching them. "The matukai's skills with their own bodies are great, instead of a number of skills like the jedi their own bodies become the weapons. Strength, speed, agility that will let them preform better then most beings in the galaxy." She was watching them and there were the ones meditating but there was also some of the younger ones that could be seen working with droids and one or two of the wookiee's that maintained the grounds. The heavier droids as they focused and started to lift them up with the strength enhancement skills they practiced. Surprise but also looks on them as you could see the different methods. Small blades that wouldn't kill being used to practice making their bodies into a natural armor to protect from the blades or low velocity rubber slugs.

"It is certainly different." Tyyni imagined himself with rock-hard skin, and bulging muscles along his long body. Perhaps not what he was meant to do. While Tyyni loved every kind of meditation, perhaps he would skip the Matukai's version.

"I am quite good at augmenting my own strength and speed in the Force. I also like meditation. But perhaps this focus on physical strength is not my strength, if you catch my meaning." The Huttlet saw a group of Matukai lifting heavy droids, and wondered how they could pull off such a feat. It was indeed interesting how they used the Force to enhance themselves.

"Investigating is my calling, I know it. Putting puzzle pieces together, solving conundrums, the occasional bout with a criminal... It is all very relaxing." Tyyni had a secret stash of mystery novels on his datapad that he read every night, his own form of meditation.

"But all this focus on physical perfection... I think it would just tire me." Tyyni smiled, meaning no disrespect towards the Matukai. He was not exactly a prime specimen, after all.

She looked at him as he said that and she was the opposite, small dainty and not really made for physical feats but she saw the value in it and knew how to work with her own skills. "Yes though never discount the need for an investigator to need enhanced strength or stamina. Sometimes you will not always have the luxury of that can be afforded when it comes to equipment and need to restrain someone or chase after them. THat is when knowing how to hold down a wookiee or lift a hutt can come in handy as very few will be able to overpower you." She said it while looking around more of the area there were other things going on. Some of the children were there standing still and she could see their eyes darting back and forth with a soft blue when when she stopped. "Hold here." She didn't move and turned her head watching something that wasn't there. "IT is hide and seek, only you are seeking the children practicing how to cloak."

Tyyni nodded. "I suppose that makes sense. Some extra strength could always be helpful."

Tyyni was distracted by his master, as she seemed to look off in a random direction. Tyyni traced where her eyes had fallen, seeing nothing at all. He gave Quenladose a confused look, staring into her multicolored eyes. What did she spot?

"What is it, Master? A vision? An ambush?" Tyyni felt no adverse feelings from his master, but one could never be too careful. He did a full spin, looking for anything out of the ordinary. When literally everything looked out of the ordinary, he stopped, deciding the action was fruitless.

No attack was coming but they were moving around as one of the children spoke. "I see you, I see you." She was looking at them going around while her padawan was speaking. "No not an attack just a game to learn and practice." She didn't move but she was watching them and crouched down for a moment getting some dust and dirt for a moment. Raising her hand up as she blew it and you could see figures moving under the dust but not actually see them. She was pointing it out. "See, the ones who are it, need to focus on thei sight. Find the small variations and distortions that come from bending the light around yourself. The ones moving around practicing their stealth skills are learning how to concentrate but maintain awareness of the area around them. It might not be as organized as a jedi class room but learnig how to use the skills and how to see through them is a very important aspect of what you want to learn."

Tyyni smiled as his Master explained what was happening. He then watched as Quenladose revealed their location to him, via dirt from the ground. He laughed a little, watching the nearly-invisible children. Then they were gone. Tyyni had blinked, and their silhouettes had disappeared.

"Is that what I am learning today? How to bend light around me? It seems complicated." Tyyni curled his tail around him again, in a semblance of sitting. He closed his eyes, and began to feel around him with the Force. Indeed, he could sense the children's Force signatures, as they didn't seem to be trying to hide them. He followed their progress as they zipped around, hiding to their heart's content. "I did want to learn stealth tactics, being an Investigator. And if children can do it, so can I, correct?"

[member="Tyyni Oluja"]

She was looking at him. "That is a little advanced for a first try. The goal is to hide and move swiftly. WHen you are first learning you barely if ever are able to move. No the first lesson would be this. Watching and observing, finding ways to augment your sight itself to find them or others who are moving. It isn't enough to just bend light around yourself and move if you can't see others doing it you leave yourself vulnerable to a lot more. If you don't know how to pace yourself or see beings who are small, fast and able to move nearly in complete silence it isn't going to do much." She was moving and motioned for him off to the side as she could follow the children. "Just going for their signatures in the force isn't enough, as they get older learning how to conceal those will be second nature. For now they are learning how to move and making bending the light almost second nature."

The Hutt understood where his master was coming from. He had to understand how cloaking worked before he tried it himself. That meant being able to detect the anomalies that came with it. That meant shimmers in the air, changes in the wind, the padding of feet.

Tyyni opened his eyes, surveying the area. He saw nothing out of the usual. He only heard the phantom giggles of children, quickly dispersing when he turned his head. "This is difficult. The second I think I see something, it disappears a moment later."

Tyyni's malachite eyes squinted, looking for any hints.

Nothing.

Nothing.

There.

He saw it; a slight shiver in the texture of the air, zipping over the ground like a small, nearly-invisible hurricane. He watched the cloaked child run past, laughing as she realized she had been spotted. Tyyni laughed in return, giving the child a respectful bow. "You were a worthy challenge, young one."

The young girl blew the Huttlet a kiss, and went back to running around, almost overlooked by the rest of the crowd. Tyyni looked to Quenladose, a blissful expression replacing his intensity.

"This place... I have decided I like it more than Rhen Var. It is full of life, full of happiness. Ice is unforgiving, and it urges the cold to rest. The Jungle, all these different cultures... It urges evolution. Change in the way we think, the way we do things."

He was starting to get it while she was moving tot he side, following and watching the others with her silvery eyes. The sounds were there able to be in the area that echoed and rebounded around in some areas. Other people were moving around as she could see some of the others watching the display where the children were moving. Turning to see her padawan was giving her a number of things to work with as well since he he got a lot of the information. She was happy to work with it and this place was made to be full of life, to see and get a chance to look at all of the different aspects of the force instead of just the view of the jedi. She didn't always agree with it but if you only knew one thing then there was a danger you might not know what to do. "It is a good place, you can see and even get a chance to experiment with other sects to see how different groups can react with different skills." She waited there though watching him and was joined by a couple others observing the padawan.

Tyyni continued to watch the young children as they played, slowly catching on to the nuances of seeing the children. Eventually, he was able to make out the shapes of arms and legs, and eventually faces, although all detail was gone.

He sat there for a while, simply watching peacefully. In his watching, he had grown blind to his surroundings. He noticed that others had come to watch him, and he sheepishly bowed to the small gathered crowd. Blood rushed to his cheeks, and he stared at the ground, embarrassed. He felt like a youngling, overwatched by masters, judging him. Padawan Oluja found that he couldn't concentrate on finding the children after the interruption.

Tyyni took a second to calm his mind, excluding all thoughts from his inner peace. As he felt the Darkness within him, he did not try to push it away, as he once had. Instead, he simply moved his mind around it, acknowledging it's presence. The Hutt began to float in the air once again, only a fraction of an inch, almost unnoticeable. He was still getting used to the practice, but even at this simple stage, it easily cleared the people around him from his mind. Once again, he was able to track the children with his eyes.
