CIVIL WAR 2016

Isamu Baelor

Protector of The Iron Realm

Empty chairs at empty tables…

The One Sith leadership has dwindled as death and betrayal shift the balance of power. The Dark Lord holds his tongue, secluding himself from the masses who look to him for signs of strength. Or weakness.

The Sith covet power and should the one who embodies it falter...well, there are many who would see it taken for themselves.

The Republic lays bleeding but the One Sith turn their attention to the Western Reaches. Some believe the Dark Lord weak for his failure to eradicate the Republic. Some believe his campaign of aggressive expansion has spawned the Alliance.

Sith are tried in the fire of conflict. This time, the conflict is their own.

In a sense, yes. It's the DL and his loyalists vs. usurpers. The usurpers also ought to be vary of each-other. Loyalties are thin and it's easy to stab someone in the back, as you ought to know.

So Vong didn't work, now we are just going full on Civil War?

Ugh, I have a gun in my bedroom I can go grab it. Bang bang dead and done.
Again feels like we are rushing something here with no build up.

Also, and you could have joined when I was gone for a month or two, but [member="Isamu Baelor"] who are you? I have never seen you post until now so I am curious as a clam in the middle of June.

He's our glorious Grand General, Supreme Commander of the Imperial Military, Hand of the Dark Lord, and one of the OS Faction Admins.

He's also the Mannis with the Plannis, so watch out.

You say no build up, but if you followed [member="Darth Mephirium"] , you'd notice the ten plus full length threads of him building his army as quick as possible to launch an attack before anyone knew what was happening.

There's a huge build up you simply didn't notice.

Well Onasius hasn't made very many connections yet among the Sith. So I guess he'll sit this one out since I just see him dying somehow if he joins.

Nonsense. Most of the acolytes at the academy are fully able to join in and support whoever you want to support. The faction thread that went up is on Coruscant but I will probably make one for the acolytes on Glee Anselm to RP their reactions once word has reached the academy of the insurrection.

Don't you worry. I got ways for you to jump in.

While we don't want to be all admin-y and such since people are excited about this, there seems to be some confusion about what a victory in the civil war will mean.

Whatever side comes out on top will work with the admins to create a new hierarchy of IC positions that are activity based and meant to be turned over from time to time to give new writers an opportunity to shine IC, much as we have done with the Hands/Voices etc.

These positions, whatever they may be, will be appointed by faction staff upon an opening made by someone quitting or deciding not to be active on the character anymore. Staff need to be able to keep them going like we have been doing with Hands/Voices/Reach/Shadow.

A PC DL, should there be one, will need further discussion among the FA's and the faction as a whole for right of succession upon an opening.

While the current plot is shaking up the OS IC, staff believes in the ability to reward writers who really shine within OS storylines with something to strive for IC.
Hope this clears up any confusion. If you have any questions about this, please see one of the FA's.

[member="Darth Kentarch"] and myself will be assaulting the Dark Temple, where most of the students would be. Him more public than myself.

Could meet up with us there, or fight us.
