A hideous crack rang out as the man went limp simultaneously, his spark snuffed out. Instead of abandoning the corpse in some unceremonious fashion, Rexus kept the body held tight. Rexus had eyes set on a new target. He was one of the loyalist generals and he was leading some of his own men into battle. The bubble, in conjunction with the overlapping fire from others, stank of an order and discipline Rexus couldn't stand.
