Civil War: First Strike OOC | Mandalorians

If you're done with the thread, then I can't make you stick around.

However, a one-post, two sentence deus ex machina from the thread invalidates the work your opposition put into attempting to capture your character may be perceived as flippant and disrespectful toward that person's work.

Such exits are typically why bounty hunters on Chaos often become discouraged.

Everyone wants to play the game. Nobody wants to lose. No risk, all reward.

But do as you see fit. I'm not here to make anyone stay at the table if they've folded their hand.

Please, try not to make yourself a martyr here.

I will address your concerns in parts.

Rexus, as far as I know has no formal bounty on him. Now to say that he has one colloquially, and ICly is fine as a plot device. But to now impotently declare I somehow aggrieved you of some kind of bounty or reward is a ridiculous statement. I will concede, if there were a full and proper one posted on the Bounty Board, I would be disrespectful for having exited the thread.

In fact, if I were to speculate, I would dare say you conjured it up as a means to derail my enjoyment in the thread. However, I will elaborate onto that late.

And yet your work was disrespectful in of itself. I entered the thread with the intentions to write with some Mandolorian writers, and carve a story about a group of young mercenaries down on their luck managing to find the drive to give them purpose. About a group of cynics who find hope, and dare I say it, happiness. It was in short, a story that was hopefully going to spark the muse into a group of NPC's that I had long neglected the projects for, and wished to fully write.

Instead what I got was a writer with an axe to grind derailing my attempt to do so. And while you may argue that this is my fault for rolling with the punches. That I should not have acquiesced, that I should have fought, and drawn that to your attention. I did not want to. I did not want to be the type to pester people in PM's, or to derail the OOC with the typical whining and derision that comes with such requests (as ironic as it may be right now.)

I wanted to bury any hatchets we may have, and see what was going to happen. I was interested to see what was going to happen, and how it was going to happen.

However, as soon as I put up any resistance at all. Any flavour. Any attempts at making sure this is a good and proper adventure, rather than some half-hearted series of posts upon which you drag out the five NPC's and one PC, one by one and drag them back to your ship. I wanted character. I wanted flavour.

But instead, what I got was a post cut. After you'd metagamed an excuse to interrupt me and my story. After you decided to take my characters prisoner, with little opposition from me, I got a post cut.

And you know what? That made me more than a little salty. To see that after all the work I'd put into my post, was voided by something that was four lines long, and less than 100 words. That was the straw which broke the proverbial camels back. I was affronted. And ergo, when I saw that, decided to post cut myself, because to be perfectly frank, if that's the way you treat other writers, I want no part in this thread.

If you wish to continue this further, I ask you message me either on discord, or on here so we can settle this away from public.

I think I was like you once. And a guy took me by the ear and told me I was making a fool of myself. And I've tried to change myself. Tried to change how I act, and how to make people perceive me. I hope you heed his advice.

If you want people to respect you, you need to act respectably out of character. I don't know what your reputation is inside the Collective, but outside of that faction you are regarded as someone who people do not want to thread with because of an inhospitable ooc attitude and complaints of post cutting.

I apologies for each and every person inconvenienced by the argument between [member="Kade Kelborn"] and myself. I look forward to reading the conclusion of the thread, and hope you all have a good time.

Mandalorian noob here. My allegiance is to the Death Watch. I know Mandalorian characters are "allowed" to start with beskar, but I'd prefer to earn my armor old-fashioned way - by having someone beat the hell out of Jor in a glorious single combat.

Any takers out there?

Bout to head into work, probably going to later today before I get you a post.

If you want single combat you're going to have to switch sides brother. Numbers game and all that.

I'm currently not involved in any of the action in Keldabe at the moment. If someone's offering to have themselves have the snot beaten out of them then I'm happy to oblige.
