DESCRIPTION
Currently based out of Besh and slowly spreading into areas of the Outer Rim, Clan Dem'adas Corp of Engineers is the industrial arm of Clan Dem'adas, and a major arms dealer for the Dar'tome Mando'ade. Though the clan had gone un-noticed for the past several years, it is a name that many remember from the days before the Mandalorian Clans were re-forged into the current Mandalorian Empire.
The Clan appears to be a fraction of the size it had been in those days and is now aligned with several alien species. Through these alliances, Clan Dem'adas appears to have access to a wide range of exotic materials and technologies that are quickly providing the clan with a favorable reputation among the shadier groups in the galaxy. Likewise, their ability to manufacture many of the old Mandal Hypernautics designs have raised the eyebrows of more than one buyer.
RATIONALE
While many in the galaxy who knew of Clan Dem'adas had believed them dead and departed, the truth is far more strange. Due to sabotage and a reliance upon experimental wormhole technology, Clan Dem'adas had found themselves trapped in Otherspace. Taking three years to escape the strange dimension, the Clan would then find themselves not in the same galaxy they had left, but instead in one of the numerous companion galaxies that orbited their home galaxy. Only later discovering that it was the Besh galaxy that they now roamed, Clan Dem'adas would fight numerous forces and forge a few alliances in their quest to escape the galaxy and return to the one that they considered home.
During this time, Clan Dem'adas would rely upon a skilled core of engineers to keep their ships operational in spite of severed supply lines. And, in time, would rely upon these same engineers to design and manufacture a number of new creations that the clan would rely on to keep themselves alive. Thankfully, the warships of some of Clan Dem'adas's more higher ranking leaders included databanks containing extensive copies of Mandal Hypernautics files.
While Rygel Larraq may have been the CEO of Mandal Hypernautics, majority ownership of the company had always rested in the hands of Clan Dem'adas. Likewise, while Rygel Larraq was allowed to run the company as he saw fit, Clan Dem'adas (Olivia Dem'adas specifically) maintained copies of all Mandal Hypernautics data and blueprints. And in the event that something of particular interest was developed, Olivia Dem'adas (Alor of Clan Dem'adas) received a personal briefing on the new product.
With this data, and with the technology shared between themselves and their new Tof and Nagai allies, Clan Dem'adas Corp of Engineers is proving themselves capable of producing highly advanced warships. And what gets done with those warships is only serving to improve their reputation (if only as shipwrights).
