Clandestine Induction

Pluton-class Battleship "Ablution," in orbit over Dromund Kaas, post-Battle of Kashyyyk

This was a day of solemn celebration. Of something that Vanessa had very much been looking forward to. This was the time to induct someone into the fighter squadrons of the Void Irregular Fleet - an important thing to do given the losses taken from the Silver Jedi Order during the Assault on Kashyyyk. Vanessa had been loathe to expose her ships to such a location where there would inevitably be a heavy Silver Jedi presence, but the battle had proven heavy enough - damage that would put a large number of the fleet's ships in drydock. The Conqueror-class heavy cruisers had performed splendidly, though - as had the Ablution itself.

Vanessa had summoned a pilot by the name of Mulokhai Zarandur to the bridge of the Ablution. His exploits during the Kashyyyk conflict, having downed a good number of Silver fighters, had raised her interest. She thus desired to have him as one of her associates within the Void Irregular Fleet. Now she waited for him to be brought to her on the bridge of her flagship.

She had some things to say.

He had assumed this would happen.

As Mulokhai moved his way through the hallways of the Pluton-Class, he pondered over whether this would be a commendation or some form of execution. He'd known there were some Sith who would not tolerate any kind of loss or failure, even from those that were technically not subordinates. Then again, there were those that tended to take note of talent and ability; though the two options mentioned were not mutually exclusive.

Approaching the bridge, the Acolyte stepped just where the two Marines escorting him stopped, at least, he assumed they were Marines of some sort. Security was never an issue in the Sith Empire, after all. "My lady. You requested my presence?" He gave a bow of the head, though all of this was simply formalities. It was best to play on the safe side, at least as an Acolyte. That came from personal experience of pain and watching others be killed on the spot for a 'lack of respect' as it was interpreted. He preferred to know who he was dealing with before he went any further than protocol.

"Yes." She replied. "You were placed in what I can only care to explain as an effectively unwinnable situation. The assault on Kashyyyk would have required significantly more firepower in order to make a dent, perhaps a battlecruiser or even one of the new dreadnoughts in the opening fleet. The disappearance of the other Sith commander was unfortunate, though I wonder how she was able to transport herself to the planet's surface..." Vanessa pondered.

"I lost a large number of pilots. Many of them have served me and my fleet for a particularly extended period of time." She replied. "Of note, given the casualties have been significant enough, I require an individual well trained in piloting to serve me - particularly one with some Force awareness such as yourself. You can either leave my vessel and return to your current posting, or you can stay and join the Void Irregular Fleet. I will not execute you or otherwise harm you for refusal should you choose to take that option."

She looked with brown eyes at the man before her, eager to hear his response, one way or another.
