While Alisteri was under no assumptions that the fight ahead would be an easy one, given how quickly and efficiently the Mandalorian had dispatched the raiders before him, he wasn't expecting to see his first attack go so catastrophically wrong. The lightning didn't seem to phase the armored warrior at all for a start. What was meant to be a disorientating shot had no affect from what he could tell, and as such his subsequent lightsaber strike was all too easy to avoid or counter.
Surprisingly his blade did land and hit his opponent, but to his frustrated surprise the armor held against the lightsaber. And then he felt a blade impact and pierce through his armor before he had the chance to pull his weapon back to defend himself. He gritted his teeth to stop the pained yell that threatened to escape as the Mandalorian's blade stabbed into his chest, too busy trying to step away and gain some distance between them to try and return the strike. The masked Sith stumbled back, his free hand coming to clutch the now bleeding wound as he watched his opponent's left arm raise towards him.
Right as he was about to charge and slice off the offending limb, fire erupted from the vambrace and he barely had time to react. The only thing he could do for the moment, he swiftly turned to the side and grabbed his cape with his free hand to throw it off and try to block or stifle the gout of flame that was intent on burning him alive. It was no wonder that the Mandalorians were few in number thus far, if they all possessed such skills and equipment.
He stepped back once more as a strange noise reached his ears and the whistling birds came at him. A swift strike cut down one of them but the rest managed to find their target and soon the Sith was thrown back by multiple small explosions. A scream, half between a pained cry and an angered roar, followed as he found himself on the ground and with seared, smoking wounds now covering his chest. Out of adrenaline and sheer rage he managed to haul himself back onto his feet.
There was little chance of getting back into the fight and surviving, not even his regeneration would be able to mend the damage he had taken and even if it could his lightsaber couldn't cut through the Beskar quick enough to end his enemy. There was only one option. "Start the engines!" Alisteri nearly shouted the order into his helmet's commlink as he leapt to the side and hit the ground running, pushing himself to sprint across to his shuttle as fast as he could. The Legionnaires did their best to return fire as the hauled their growing number of wounded into said shuttle, quick to get the vessel ready to go as their leader rushed back to them.
Neither the Legionnaires nor their Sith master knew of how desperate their escape attempt was, but both had far too many distractions and concerns to bother trying to find a cloaked ship hovering nearby.
