Make it so minor factions can skirmish/invade an area and clear the cloud if they win. Big enough to remove influence not big enough to get a color...

Someone said it needed it's own topic for discussion. I said "did you make one?" They said "you do it. It was your Idea." I said "Fine! I Will" any way what do you all think?

I support this idea as MInor Factions can have just as much power as the big boys, and do just as much damage too.

I really like this idea, and hope it goes through.

For the sake of it would be awesome to see [member="The Queen"] ready for war when she's all settled in because this is passed through.....MWAHAHHA

So minor factions still can't take or own territory, but they can destabilize a major faction's control over a world at a time, if they win the fight...that's elegant. Probably the simplest and most straightforward way to do Rebellions or something like them.

Just as a side note. I am happily a nobody and the poll is just to help the staff gauge what the community thinks.

Also I said established Minor Faction so a group of people don't get mad make a minor faction and attack the Major faction ouy of spite. What constitutes established and such is debatable.

I can see what you mean, and then I can see where not really, it's just like major vs major just instead of putting another color on the map, your erasing color. Simple.
This means that those guys that are minor and are allied with a major can help out now on their side of the map. This will make more stories appear, and give minors the recognition I think they truly deserve.

Right?

At first I liked the idea. Then I was adverse to it. Now I think I kinda like it again, but I'm not totally sure solely because you botched up your spelling xD :p

Anyway, I think this would probably be huge for the Bounty Hunting community, as I'm sure a Major faction isn't going to be happy about losing territory to some hostile terrorist (IC) and make a huge effort to hunt them all down (ala War on Terror).

Additionally, it may make a solidifying bond among factions to ally together in order to prevent Terrorists and rebels getting the better of them... probably! lol

I like this idea, but I think the minor faction has to have a certain amount of people, not enough to become major, but more than one or two. Just so that there is none of one man removing a planet from the control of a Major faction. Just an idea.

I like it overall, and am willing to support it. (Not that you really need my support, as a number of people agree apparently)

Hey, if a major faction is weak or lazy enough that one person can take a world from'em...*shrug* But overall, invasions need five people, and I don't see why that threshold wouldn't work for this too.

Completely agree with this. 5 members a side, if it gets abused RPJs can deal with clear abuse of the system, or refine rules if necessary.

Minor and Major faction admins can sort out the details and terms. Minors shouldn't be allowed too many allies to stop majors from overdoing proxy wars. A hars limit of 5 allies would seem sensible. Doesnt put much on staff plate. Can be refined as it goes. Stops major factions being complacent about the territory they've got.
