Come out, come out, wherever you are...

(Posting from my phone, please excuse the quality.)

How frail a thing she was, that splinter of Dark. How she swayed amongst the shadows with grace. Kzaevas listened, waited. Her sanguine gaze peeled away any and all details, scowering the dead tunnels with extreme prejudice.

Tip-toe, stay silent. The Sithspawn crept slyly, dirtied skin hugging the walls as her feet landed softly as to not draw attention to her location.

Unaware of what the hunters had up their sleeves, it was best to avoid direct confrontation. There weren't many means lying about the ruins to defend one's self. Kzaevas would need to out-wit the strangers. Or else meet with a fate most unfavorable.

To use the mind: a weapon most dangerous when applied, sharper than any blade - as venomous as even the most feared serpent.

She could feel him now, the one that announced his intention. He was coming for her, and she needed to stay out of sight.

Could she survive?

Arador would shift his hand to his side as he placed it over a bruised section of his torso. Despite his armor being built to withstand blows, being hit by a storm of stones thrown about a telekinetic maelstrom wasn't exactly something that it was built to counteract. He'd shrug the pain off as he continued down the winding ruins. The narrow tunnels would make maneuvering much more difficult, but it worked to his advantage as it would make trying to dodge shots from his sonic pistol a lot more harder in the narrower space. The bounty hunter continued as he tracked the footprints that just barely left a trail in the dark, his helmet displays keeping him up to date with all the information regarding his surroundings.

He would need to be swift, but much more careful. Who knows how long his prey had been lurking about in these tunnels. Perhaps she knew them like the back of her hand, or maybe set up traps even; either way he had to move quickly if he wanted to claim the bounty before Koda did. It was already irritating enough that he had to go after one bloodthirsty and psychotic prey, and even more irritating that another hunter was also at his throat. However, Arador would take the encounter to answer a few questions he's always had. Like how well beskar'gam would hold up against his sonic pistol and the extent of its damage to the wearer's internal organs.

Arador took his newfound interest to keep his mind busy as he kept his ears open. There was the faint sound of something that echoed faintly along the stone walls. His prey was careful not to draw attention to herself as she was being pursued, but there was only so much she would be able to do to hide herself from someone skilled in tracking a target across star systems. Weapons in hand he trudged along, setting up additional sensor beacons to alert him if one were to be tripped.

Fett merely wandered around the ruins, his eyes shifting back and forth from what's ahead of him and what's being displayed on his sensors. They weren't too far away, but they weren't too close either. He wouldn't act upon this, no, instead he wouldd watch and wait until one or the other is a battered, bruised mess and then engaging. Being a Bounty Hunter didn't necessarily require one to always incredibly gung-ho when it came to charging at your enemy, more often than not it came down to being smart.

And so with his carbine hand, his head shifted about the area as he remained at a relatively 'safe' distance, or at least what one could call it. Sithspawn were unpredictable, and there wasn't a chance that Koda would make the risk of getting in there without seeing what it could do. Perhaps after it lashed out he would gauge it's power from there, who knows, it was yet to be seen.

The shadows embraced Kzaevas like a parent nuturing a newborn, soothing her fragile mind which was already an abused, manipulated mess. The dust kissed her skin as she brushed against a wall's corroded surface.

Barely having experienced life, Kzaevas' first impression wasn't a particularly positive one. Blood, her own, tasting a cut on the inside of her lip. This was a glimpse into the grim, dark future.

Footsteps fell against the ground, sand and sediment disheveled as a heel dug deep into the trail of the hunted. The hunter was closer than he knew, and Kzaevas felt her heart rising into her throat. Deep, booming pulses filled her ears with anxiety.

The white noise of a heartbeat, sweat forming beads.

It was now or never.

Sprinting from around a corner, the Sithspawn attempted to unleash a raw Force push centered down the narrow corridor, with the hope it would cause some inkling of detriment.

Subsequently, Kzaevas would also attempt to flee immediately back into darkness, that is if her abrupt assault held any success.

Arador silently stepped through the dark corridor as he eyed his HUD's radar. There was a single ping at the very edge of it as he slowly began to creep and stalk his prey. Things were complicated more so than usual yes, but Khan enjoyed the thrill of the hunt and though he usually preferred more tame prey, there was just no resisting the need to hunt something with a little more fight in it every now and then. Another hunter just threw a little spice into the mix, but Arador was confident that he would be getting off the planet with the bounty. He had a number of tricks up his sleeve still.

As he continued to approach, he would switch from night vision to backscatter optics, the ghostly green overlay switching to one of blacks and grays. The one perk that his vision had was its ability to function like an x-ray as pulses emitted would illuminate and outline the walls around him as well as crevices and splits in the hallways. As he came closer and closer he would pause as one pulse returned with a white figure highlighted as it passed over and revealed a turn in the hallway. Judging by the shape of the body it was not Koda, but his intended target.

He watched as she seemed to be waiting, not moving at the moment. This gave Arador a brief amount of time to think his next course of action through. She was a cornered animal that was confused and possibly scared. He already had a brief glimpse of what she was capable of earlier, so there was no doubt in his mind something of a similar effect would occur. He would watch as she began to move at a rather rapid clip. He would crouch down low as he dug his heels into the stone as well as place one free hand to grip the floor tightly.

It would not be long before she burst from around the corner and threw out a Force Push. He gripped the ground tightly as he felt the brunt of the impact focused above him where his chest would have been if he had been standing still. Judging by the way it had still pushed against him while he was near prone, that maneuver definitely would have caused a few cracked ribs and knocked him out if he hit the ground. As the brief exertion of Force passed he would give chase, taking off from a runner's sprint position as he raised his blaster carbine which was set to stun and began to fire stun rounds down the narrow corridor.

Fett wandered above, following the pings of his scanner as the two went about their business below; the very business that would soon become his. The ground wasn't necessarily strong, in fact it was quite weak. The stone looked to concave within itself in certain areas but they were of no concern to him, he sought out a different point of entry - a breaching one. Perhaps she could sense him and Kahn would see his signature, but that didn't matter by the sounds of it, they kept each other occupied.

The sounds of the lush jungle seemed to fade more and more as Kahn and Vi'ze fought each other. Meanwhile, Fett planted a Mandalorian Armored Knee into the ground beneath him as he reached around with his hands to snatch a charge from his bandoleer that would soon find itself on the stone below his very feet. His hands traversed the device, lights flickered in unison to the beeps that came from it. A few steps back were taken, huddling behind a low wall formation as the charge detonated, creating a hole within the roof directly above the two - if they didn't move out of the way then perhaps they could be crushed by the stone that began to fall in their direction.

The thrill of the chase set in as Kzaevas felt the impact of a stun bolt strike her right shoulder as she attempted to flee. Her body collapsed momentarily, muscles cramping and limbs locking up.

An anguished cry escaped the Sithspawn's lips as she struggled to get up. Arms shaking, Kzaevas clawed at the stone floor, dragging her body. The hunter was closing in, his footfalls gaining pace as his prey only had seconds to retaliate.

This kind of humiliation, this helplessness. It was pathetic how Kzaevas failed to realize that she had put herself at a disadvantage. Trapped, and alone.

She only had herself to rely on, but she couldn't even do that. Useless.

But that couldn't stop her now.

Raw willpower overcame the fragile woman's being, allowing her to regain composure. Kzaevas focused on her assailant and let out a bone-splitting scream, one intense enough to inflict some sensory unease and possibly temporary deafness.

Subsequently, Kzaevas would attempt to assault her would-be captor by unleashing another burst of the Force. This is where Kzaevas would make her stand. No more would she be a victim.

For a moment the uncertainty of everything subsided, and there was only the Force. Embracing her, flowing beneath her flesh.

In that moment, Kzaevas understood herself.
