Alva Heavenshield
Queen of All Ponies
Alva couldn't help but beam as
Thurion Heavenshield
mentioned her mother. From what she knew of her mom's past, she'd always been a healer – even when she was grandmaster. And now, she was ever so proud to be running things at the Reach.
And she gave Nida Perl a reassuring nod when Grandpa mentioned they could stop to visit the Reach. “Mom would love to see you again,” she said with an encouraging nod. “And to meet Kyra, of course.”
A moment later, as glanced up as Thurion's hand brushed her shoulder.
Alva gave him a swift nod, somehow understanding the meaning behind the otherwise genial words. It was time to give the grown-ups some time to chat alone. Getting up from her seat, she offered a polite bow and then glanced to Kyra Perl .
“Come with me,” she said, reaching a hand out to gently usher the flame-haired girl from the table and towards the doors. Alva's blue eyes stole a glance over her shoulder, viewing the trio they'd left behind. It all looked rather serious, at least based on the expressions that Nida, Thirdas and Grandpa wore. But her job at the moment wasn't to dwell upon it, she needed to do her duty and show Kyra a bit of Midvinter's charm.
“We've got more furs at home if you're still cold,” she said, she herself was clad in a tunic and a woolen cloak that had fur trim. The Valkyri blood running in her veins gave her a love of the cold – and the ability to weather it well. The evening sky was still quite bright, and the white-hues of snow made it seem even more brilliant. “Don't worry,” she said, “It's not a very long walk – we'll be there in no time.”
