- Mobile Hospital. The Comfort-class hospital ship is a fully capable trauma MedCenter. It features 15 fully equipped surgical theaters, a 1,200-bed hospital facility, medical laboratory, pharmacy, and full range of medical and bio-scanners.

The Comfort-class frigate was a hospital ship operated by the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the period following the collapse of the Galactic Alliance. As the Sith Empire savaged the worlds of Shri-Tal, Luria, and Mon Cala, the need for a mobile medical center with greater operating capacity was made clear. Commissioned in concert with the Jedi Healers of the Order of the Sacred Lotus, the Comfort-class was operated by the Confederate Defense Force. The majority of personnel staffing the Comfort-class were medical service providers -- Adjudicators from the Knights Obsidian, military medical professionals from the ranks of the Confederate Defense Forces, Jedi Healers from the Order of the Sacred Lotus, or volunteers from various non-governmental organizations.
