Commander Firestorm

ARC Trooper Out of Time, Commander of the Unbroken
"You're lucky you even got to decide not to get stuck in an official military, I was forced into it from birth, we trained every day, whether it be learning military strategy and history, or battle simulations in one of the many virtual or physical simulation rooms, they even copied the blueprints and designs of battle droids the Separatists used and put them in the simulations, meaning those simulations were as close as you could get to the real thing without being in a real one."

"Don't worry I got this....maybe"
Sir! He just called me sir! Damn I am getting old. Mal took the drink. A bit in shock that the bartender actually served the underager. Mal didn't whether he should be disgusted with himself or if he should admire the kid's moxy. Mal shrugged and took a big gulp of his ale.

The two younger men were questioning the Flight Officer, almost to the point of an interrogation. The look on the sandy man's face further confirmed Mal's suspicion. Placing his glass of ale down on the table, Mal spoke up, interrupting the conversation.
"Well then, since you guys are invading my table, the least you can do is introduce yourselves." He said with a wink. He held his hand out to whoever would shake it first. "I'm Malcom Stillwater."

Hearing what the man who offered his table say made Reggie feel a bit embarressed. He didn't even introduce himself to the flight Officer, but was annoying him with questions. Acting quickly, Reggie took [member="Malcom Stillwater"] hand to shake it., giving a friendly smile with it.

"My name is Reggie Faayare! Niceto meet you."

"Jax Rhane." Jax responded as those surrounding the table began introducing themselves, shaking Malcom's hand with a firm grip when it came to his turn.

It couldn't hurt to meet a few new faces, could it? They seemed friendly enough but if he had learned one thing it was to never convey trust, at least not fully. Reggie and the other clone seemed like they were GA so at least the pilot could place his bet that they were among that category. Malcom Stillwater on the other hand seemed edgy, not suspicious but a stranger regardless. This little ordeal that was taking place made him realize just how much he actually missed the company of others, even if it was just to talk banter it felt nice to not drown his sorrows in cheap ale.

"You can call me Commander Firestorm, and don't take me as some young and inexperienced boy, I'm older than all of you combined," he chuckled, "and I have been in hundreds of battles throughout the Clone Wars." The clone wars had ended around 800 or so years prior.

Reggie's interest now set on [member="Malcom Stillwater"], he asked the man what his business was here.

"Now it's my turn to ask you a question now. what are you doing on Tatooine Malcom?"

The man didn't looked like he also traveled around the galaxy, so why not ask where he's been?

"Don't worry I got this....maybe"
Mal shook each man's hand, repeating their name back to them. "Reggie, Jax, ...Commander."
Mal couldn't help but smirk. He was a free agent. Having no allegiance to the Empire, the Alliance, no one. Save for those he called friend. So the Trooper's non surprising arrogance grated against Mal's nerves, but he bit his tongue choosing not to pick this battle. Sitting back in his seat, he turned his gaze to Reggie who had just inquired about his business on Tatooine.
"Conducting a simple business transaction. I am an Archeologist and I retrieve ancient artifacts for collectors."

"Your attitude is not needed, Commander is just what most called me even when they had no affiliation with any military, I do have a first name, but I tend to that info to those I trust with it, if you want you can just call me Storm to save time."

He was gonna need another drink if he was gonna join into this conversation, not that it was boring to say the least. He was actually enjoying himself. Every individual had a different persona that he could see were not meshing well at this very table and something about Malcom's 'profession' said it all. Not that he was bound to judge but Archeology wasn't among the lines of honest work and being a farmer having to endure the scorching heat for hours to no end was a direct example. Then there was of course Reggie who was actually a friendly face, just a little eccentric. And last but not least, Commander Firestorm's arrogance equally matched his own when in flying through the stars, something that would surely come to play if he had his wings with him.

"Isn't Archaeology just grave robbing with fancy paperwork?" Jax asked leaning back on his chair, displaying his usual banter.

"Jax, archaeology is not theft if no one has a claim to an artifact or piece of land, we learn more about the history of this galaxy from artifacts that archaeologists find, now if Malcom here were a tomb raider, it would be different, but if how he describes himself is truly correct, then he is just a man looking for objects with important historical meaning to gain a better grasp of what makes the galaxy what it is, of course there are always some difficulties that come with that line of work that may make him look like a criminal to some, but it is all in how you perceive those actions and the reasoning behind them."

[member="Malcom Stillwater"]'s answer intrigued Reggie. This man encountered ancient artifacts that could be of great importance to history and societies. Reggie being a man who enjoys learning more about a variety of things, he had to ask him more. He did see what [member="Jax Rhane"] and[member="Commander Firestorm"] were saying, but he decided to put that aside to ask what the older man had aquired.

"If I may as Malcom, where has your job taken you recently? What artifacts have you acquired in your travels?"

"Don't worry I got this....maybe"
Mal took another sip of his ale as he listened to the others at the table debate what he did for a living. It was rather interesting to hear it from the perspective of others. Setting his glass down, he cleared his throat to answer. "Well Jax, the Commander is right, as an Archaeologist, I have recovered several artifacts which have helped us piece together what happened in the past. A lot of which was lost due to the plague era. He is also correct about Tomb Raiders. I have tangled with them on numerous expeditions. Now, as for the finds that don't have historical importance, I sell those to collectors in order to pay the bills, and fund further expeditions." Shifting his gaze to Reggie, Mal continued "Recently I went to Jalindi to help a Scientist track down on old shipwreck."

Sitting back in his chair, Malcom asked the men looking back at him. "But enough about me, how about you guys, what do you do? Jax, why don't you start."

He said no more. At least not towards Malcom's line of work which honestly sounded intresting. If his own motives weren't so clear then he'd be doing something similar, maybe not theft in a retrospective but just see to the galaxy. It was the life he wanted for his family until the Empire made it their goal to destroy everything he held onto mos but if things were different then just maybe another career wouldn't be so bad, not that his current line of work was a killjoy though. Being a pilot for the Galactic Alliance was an honor that Jax held with high self esteem and every moment he got out there to shoot down buckheads brought over satisfaction to know that he was avenging each and every one of them...

"I'm a pilot." Jax responded casually, weary about revealing too much. Reggie and Firestorm already had an idea since they were GA themselves but pouring his entire lifestory to a stranger was risky. Especially if Tatooine was being raided by Imperial activity everywhere he stepped.

While listening to what the others had to say about what they do, Reggie carefully thought about what he does for a living. He's a Jedi, but he would rather keep that part out for now. After awhile, he thought about what he could say to them.

"I'm a scholar of sorts! Nothing too exciting, but study and research are a big part of my life."

This was true. Reggie always enjoyed researching, and was definitely something he did for a living.
