As the old saying went, those who did not learn from History the first time were doomed to repeat it.

The Galaxy was one locked in a perpetual cycle. The religious clash of Light versus Dark always ripped stability to ribbons. The Jedi. The Sith. The multiple levels of radicalism shared between the two. Inevitably, the Galaxy would know war of a calamitous scale again - ultimately in the name of propping up one side of these ideals. For as long as the Vicelord had drawn breath, this was the reality of the Galaxy. And, ultimately, there were very few who profitted from devastation on that scale. Few, not none.

In the days of his youth, his focus had been on organizations similar to the IGBC that had graced their chambers today. The old Trade Federation, and other galactic movements which lined his pockets with credits and underlying control; despite the destruction about the stars. While, in the end, a misplaced loyalty to Mandalore would spell the conclusion to such affiliations, the understood the manner by which these entities worked. The Galaxy claimed that the Confederacy was an off-shoot of the Sith Empire? They should check their bank tellers first.

Knowing was power. And as Darth Metus remained seated upon his pod, his sufluric gaze swept across the Viceroyalty chambers. His Executive Order and the Supporting Mandate were issued out of knowing the sacrifices made by this great nation. They had spent nearly the totality of their existence involved in the battles of a neighboring ally. From defending the Galactic Alliance, to aiding the Outer Rim Coalition's offenses, to proactive strikes to alleviate pressure on the Silver Jedi. Their sons and daughters had been sent to die in the name of others besides home. It was high time that the Southern Systems were placed First.

Unsurprisingly, his actions were met with a Galactic response. Drivel in tabloids. Reactions by govenments who had never so much as written the Confederacy a greeting card. Things that, ultimately, did not matter to the Vicelord. What mattered was the bottom line - prioritizing the Confederacy of Independent Systems above all else. There would be consequences for the mandate. Economic. Martial. But this was the case with all decisions. Such was the burden of the Vicelordship. As the statements of those gathered in the chambers paused, Darth Metus rose from his seat.

He gave a knowing nod to his Apprentice, the Exarch Talon. Betwixt them ran a river of understanding - an unseen Bond forged in time and might. What the Echani saw, felt, and knew were as an open book to the Sith Lord. Thus, when the "Director" of the IGBC spoke, Darth Metus recognized. The points made were...sound from a business perspective. Change was terrifying for corporate entities, anything that challenged the lining of foreign pockets was sure to be met with disdain. But, they had been invited to the chambers by his Apprentice; and the Sith placed boundless trust in the woman's hands.

So, too, did he trust all his Exarchs.

His brother, Alkor Centaris Alkor Centaris , mirrored his opinions on many subjects and had been the author of the Supporting Mandate. The newly-appointed John Locke John Locke had proven himself a capable leader, and thus his stances were welcomed. The varying opinions of the Viceroyalty were to be expected.

Thus, Darth Metus began his address.

"The purpose of my Executive Order was to accomplish two major tasks:

1. The Securing of Our Borders. As many of you are aware, our relationships with other nations had near completely opened our nation to the Galaxy. Traffic from the Silver Jedi, Outer Planets Alliance, and deceased allies were allowed and not impeded. And even certain neutrality agreements included such clauses.

I have no doubt in my mind that the assault upon these very chambers was facilitated by the ease of entry into the Confederacy.

2. Political and Economic Prioritization of the Confederacy. For as long as our nation has existed, we have either been a leading part of or participant in many international conflicts. When our nation was an infant, we aided in defending the Alliance and rehoming her refugees. When our nation was an adolescent, we quarreled with the Galactic Empire to give breathing room to our allies. And in recent history, we led the charge in putting to rest the Mandalorian threat to the Galaxy.

However, the time has come for our lives, our worlds, and our nation to come first.

I would like to thank the representatives from the Intergalactic Banking Clan for joining our session today. Valuable insight has been provided on how they anticipate our actions will affect the nation, and also the Galaxy as a whole. To the Galaxy, our actions may be considered an act of aggression. To the Galaxy, some may perceive our placing priority upon ourselves as, ultimately, a threat.

The IGBC has a unique perspective - one that I truly appreciate being shared to you all. Our chambers have never been graced by foreign representation, so I urge all present to mark well the insight they have to offer."

With credit granted where it was due, the question of His thoughts on the matter was given.

"In terms of the proposal itself...

1. Tariffs. As stated previously, there are duties and taxes levied upon imports the Galaxy over. While the implementation by the Southern Systems now may come as a shock to our neighbors, the move is one that is standard for most governments. Moreover, the move is one that places additional stimulation in the hands of the nation.

2. Self-Sufficiency. Due to the wide variety of worlds which make up the Confederacy, and therefore access to the resources and means to create for ourselves, we are not making a 'hamfisted attempt at isolation.' Rather, we are relying upon ourselves, and the resources therein. I understand that the many across the Galaxy have misidentified our actions as a play at isolation. Make no mistake, the Confederacy is not concluding trade with the Galaxy. But rather, my goal is to conclude our reliance upon foreign entities.

3. The Galactic Standard Credit. While there are many advantages posed by the adoption of the standard credit, there are also the obvious disadvantages of placing our currency into the hand of a third-party. You are asking of us, in brief, to forfeit our ability to control a vital component of our nation's economy. From where I am standing, this is a move that will not prioritize the Confederacy first, and poses a number of risk factors that need to be equally considered against the benefits.

4. Commerce Protection Fleet. In the event that we observe a rise in pirate assaults upon goods exported from or being imported to Confederate space, the funding requested for this protection fleet could be utilized to create the same assets, in house, for direct protection of our peers. Having deployed and maintained exceptional assets beyond our borders for years, it is no large manner to take a hands on approach in protecting the assets we export or import. If all nations acted similarly and took charge of what is shipped or bound for their borders, the threat of piracy would see just as large a decline as what is proposed with this Protection Fleet.

"Overall, I believe that time is the necessary factor in all of this. As the Executive Order and Supporting Mandate were only just implemented, and the terms of both are only just being carried out, the effects can only be conjectured at the moment. Due to this, I bring the following, in the context of the IGBC proposal, to the floor for a vote:"

"
On the matter of Tariffs, I motion for a ninety day period of observation to be undertaken by the Ministry of Commerce. These findings will be reported to the Viceroyalty, for an ultimate decision on whether it is more advantageous for the nation to maintain or remove them altogether. On this, I am willing to hear other proposals and time tables from the body today. "

On the matter of the Commerce Protection Fleet, I motion for a ninety day period of observation to be undertaken by the Ministry of War. These findings will also be reported to the body, to decide if it will be more adventageous for the nation to place funds in the creation of a third-party policing force, or if we should create one ourselves for the direct protection of our imports and exports."

"
On the matter of the Galactic Standard Credit, I do require additional information from the IGBC. Of the following nations, how many of the these nations have adopted the Galactic Standard Credit? The Silver Jedi, the Outer Planets Alliance, the High Republic, the Alliance, and the Sith Empire? Should it be proven that the global adoption rate be 60%, or more, of the nations named, I will open the floor to vote on the matter of adoption today. We will require a full breakdown of the benefits and risks therein, including all factors that would not prioritize the Confederacy first. Should the global adoption rate be less than 60% of the named nations, then we welcome the IGBC to meet with the Ministry of Commerce following this session. Perhaps, if this is the case, a compromise can be reached which can be proposed to the Viceroyalty on a future date."

"Lastly,
On the matter of Planetary Sponsorship, we will need the full details of the potential bill to be provided to the Body. Additionally, I would like to know, specifically, how this sponsorship relates to the Multi Pass system that was recently implemented?"

"Now...What say you all?"

// TAMBOR TIME //
[ Flashing Lights ]
The resignation of Gat Tambor from his seat as Viceroy of Christophsis was met with polarizing (almost entirely negative) fanfare from his colleagues within the InterGalactic Banking Clan. They'd strongly advised him to remain in his seat as Viceroy...no one tells Gat Tambor what to do. Not to say he didn't see the merit in it, he also did not want to be confined in Confederate space and thus 'sold' his seat to the eccentric lord of opulence himself, Avernus Avernus .

With almost the entirety of his business coming from the Alliance and the newly established Imperial Order which had declared itself on Nirauan, his ties in Confederate markets were of negligible value to the Skakoan.

"OWEEEREREREREE- Our very desire of the Confederacy adopting the standard was fulfilled and well- you should understand well why I elected not to bare the headache of this environment, Chairman." Skakoan said only to Caulder Dune as he sought a side winding jab at the Skakoan over his recent actions.

When Dorian Harper turned to address them both directly his beady orange eyes widened beneath the thick pressurized goggles fixed to his gaze before he'd reply.

"It seems the Confederacy is overplaying their hand and does not realize the ties each other government has established with one another. This inward turn with the false notion of 'total self sufficiency' will damage the Galactic market but in turn will drastically downturn the quality of life within Confederate space more than anything else...a shame. The people suffer where their government peacocks to the fanfare of no one, a bold move to which I see no fruits aside from the inflated confidence of its leadership." Tambor remarks in confidence to his IGBC colleagues.

PATRICIANS OF THE REALM Darth Empyrean Darth Empyrean | Caulder Dune Caulder Dune

There was no mistaking the loathing behind Caulder’s glare. It was fixed on Bastille Rommer – the Viceroy who pushed a vote on legislation his peers had no way of reading beforehand.

If there was a sure way to incite the Deputy Director, it was to blatantly disregard basic legislative procedures. But like any good banker, he kept quiet about it. Not his business.

Harper turned back to make his own asides, and that got Caulder Dune to lean forward once more, responding in a hushed, furtive tone.

You’re antagonizing them again,” he uttered, “Pay attention to how these people behave for a moment.

Metus took the podium now, and began his increasingly long-winded rejoinder. Once his speech was well under way, Caulder leaned forward once again to furtively relay his observations to Harper.

The mandate itself is executive overreach. Nothing in it was signed or supported by a legislator. An agenda was set without even token consultation. And yet nobody here has questioned that. Why do you think that is?

He paused a moment, listening to Metus’ speech unfold.

Something about ‘concluding reliance on foreign entities.’ If the Confederacy was attempting to hide its fear of and contempt for the larger galactic community, they were officially doing a poor job. It was all borderline fascistic.

Maybe they were trying to win Darth Tacitus back.

Caulder grimaced and shook his head in disgust before continuing. “This is little more than an autocracy. These people are deferring to the autocrat - the Vicelord - because it is the most politically expedient thing for them to do. They have no instincts or ideology beyond that.

And to his Skakoan colleague, Caulder offered a wry and jaded smirk.

You have an interesting concept of fulfilled, Tambor. But I digress.

If the wintry woman was bothered by the back-and-forth that continued to volley throughout the Viceroyalty chamber none would ever know. She appeared, poised, disinterested, and sharp in the way that only broken glass could be. Srina should have felt that her clear obsolescence in this forum almost stood as a badge of honor. Each time a new voice spoke up she fought the urge to cringe at the lack of understanding. Was she the only one who could admit that they weren’t an expert in a particular field? That, in essence, they were the very opposite of perfection?

The Dread Queen could wage bloody and brutal wars; Win them.

Was she a banker? Was she an economist? Was she an account? A stockbroker?

No, no, and no. How many others in the chamber could currently those occupations? A scant few. Most of them? She’d brought into the room to help the transition of the Confederacy to an almost protectionist state. At the very least the math and actual data provided more than enough reason for concern. Hesitation. Rushing in like a bull in a china shop? Breaking anything in sight? No, that would never be her way. She held the precision of a blade and intended to use it as such. The way the Southern Systems operated had always been to provide a soft cushion for their allies, which, was their prerogative to accept or deny it. No harm—No foul.

To consistently provide that was taxing.

Whether the speaker for the IGBC was wearing her preferred face or that of Dorian Harper there was no denying that Darth Empyrean Darth Empyrean lingered beneath the surface. Dorian, outwardly, seemed calm. Srina believed it was almost as much as an illusion as the raven hair and blue eyes. It was a strange feeling. Wanting to be near someone, so badly, but current circumstances required distance. His eyes belonged golden. Not blue. It was a lie—And she loathed it.

The side commentary that he shared with the individuals at his side confirmed her suspicion. No. He was not happy. Not at all. She couldn’t blame him. The only thing that seemed to be transpiring was a massive piece of grandstanding. When had the Confederacy raised their own ego over the benefit of everyone around them? Silver eyes flickered over several of the Viceroyalty. All had their concerns. Raven Thystle Raven Thystle seemed to share a similar opinion as Xazzex Xivar Xazzex Xivar , and even, the typically level-headed @Jordan Varcskel. As much as she respected each and every one of them—Respected their sovereignty, more than any other Exarch, because she had seen what happened to Eshan. They wanted to protect their homes. Their people.

This new bill was NOT the way.

The young woman held her tongue. For now.

Why?

Because Darth Metus Darth Metus had arrived. Some of the tension in her stomach seemed to ease when her beloved Dark Master rose to the occasion and began to speak. He would feel her unease. He would know and understand that which she had attempted to impress upon the Viceroyalty. They denied the possibility of a trade war. They denied, or, didn’t care about preparing for the possibility of repercussions and yet they were focused on rhetoric and even more legislation? The eyes of the galaxy were upon them. All, eyes. If the Viceroy kept acting as they were public perception would shift, swiftly, and they would become as easily targeted and loathed as the fallen Mandalorian Empire.

Her hand clenched, imperceptibly, but it did slowly ease as Daegon Corvinus Daegon Corvinus brought the folly of this new bill that had been birthed from Bastille Rommer Bastille Rommer . Her eyes closed. Delay this legislation? That was kind. Far kinder than she would have been. She tended to let the Viceroy fight their own battles—But this? This bill? This was a complication, the equivalent of red tape, paperwork, and nonsense that would make trade far more difficult from every angle.

Her private thoughts to Darth Metus Darth Metus would ring in his mind like a bell. Clear. Loud.

<<Where do we draw the line? When do we become honest with ourselves and recognize that our actions are damaging to the planets we have sworn to protect?>>

The typically even-handed Echani sucked in a deep breath at the end of the address that the Vicelord provided. A soft glance to the sable-skinned, former Mandalorian, gave her the consent to speak plainly. She did not denounce the words of her Master. They were far more patient, even, open to hearing what the IGBC had to say. That had been her only want. To listen. To hear—And understand fully what it was that they were supporting.

“Specifically—I would like to know how this proposed Bill doesn’t present further difficulty for the Confederacy to trade efficiently with itself let alone anyone else. The wording found within is full of vagaries, inconsistent and contradictory ideas, that will only destroy interplanetary trade rather than encourage it. As it currently stands my support will not be found in this piece of…Legislature.”

Blunt. As always. If the Viceroy could not see where even their own sovereignty was being infringed upon the pale woman was at a loss. If directly contradicted several of the existing pieces of the Confederate Charter. Viceroy were already allowed to accept contracts and agreements on behalf of their own world. They already had their own laws, landing capacity, etc. The Confederacy did not infringe upon a world's right to self-rule or self-govern, save, with specific exceptions. This was not one of them.

It would literally redefine the duties and expectations of the Ministry of Commerce while simultaneously granting them unprecedented overreach. “I move that the Planetary Trade Act be returned to the drawing board, reviewed, and rewritten. The ink of the Confederacy First initiative has hardly even had time to dry, yet, we’re already pressing for more restrictions and red tape. Before it comes to the light of day again we should all be privy to the contents and the exact intent, so we may make informed decisions before we reconvene.”

Most didn’t even understand what Confederacy First entailed. Not truly. How would it affect the day to day? The common man? How exactly would it change their trading practices? How high was the tariff being proposed?

The amused responses of “simply have a passport” no longer applied when there were abrupt and severe changes being levied on seemingly every level of the Southern Systems with most being entirely unaware.

Of course I am.”, he said begrudgingly, readjusting himself in his seat.
They’re children playing with fire. It’s hard not to.”, he quietly spoke to Adekos as Metus moved to speak.
As the speech went on, Maliphant both considered Adekos’s words and what Metus spoke of - coming to much the same conclusion. Executive overreach questioned only by a single Viceroy thus far, and quickly shot down by the Exarchs - though he had to agree with the Exarchs that decentralizing trade standards to individual planet’s was a terrible choice; and would only see trade lessened internally and from abroad.
The easiest choice to seem loyal, perhaps. Word of the confederate inquisition gives foundation to the idea they may only be agreeing so wholeheartedly to seem more in line with the Vicelord’s decisions. Stops a midnight knock on their door to a Confederate Black Site.”, he said with a wry twist of his mouth.
Slowly, Maliphant stood and cleared his throat to add in the Clan’s own advice once more - be it taken at face value, or swept under the rug.
As a last note, the Clan would advise against decentralizing Trade Standards. Confusion in trade has already harmed the Post-Galactic Alliance Core Worlds, and has been something the Clan has spent years in trying to fix.”, he said with a quick addition to @Srina Talon’s words.
Then, his gaze turned to Metus as he spoke - hoping to at least enlighten him on the questions he had about the Standard Credit.
The High Republic, The Alliance, and the rising New Imperial Order have all signed agreements to transition to the Galactic Standard Credit. Additionally, talks have been ongoing with the Corporate State less formally known as ‘Darkwire’, and certain members of the Sith Empire. While it certainly isn’t a ‘60%’ adoption rate, I will add something else -”, he said with a quiet smile.
- Early adoption by the Confederacy will see their markets experience a sudden influx of value due to the reinforcement of legitimacy of the Credit. While I can send every Viceroy here a breakdown of what the Credit truly does, I can’t stress enough that waiting until those others nations adopt it will only see the Confederacy have fewer returns by comparison.”, he said as he cleared his throat, pressed a few buttons on the micro-computer next to him, and allowed everyone in the room to see just what the Credit could do.
If I were to make an educated guess based on the simulations done by our AI network, I would guess a first-year growth of about… 20% to 40%. Tempered, of course, by Banking Clan oversight to stop any whiplash in the markets - which was why I asked for rights to serve as a national bank for the Confederacy. Allows a safer route of adoption, you see.”, he mused as he readjusted once more.
Those numbers aren’t a joke, Vicelord Metus, but they are dangerous.”
He cleared his throat a final time as he glanced about - only to settle on the Vicelord’s pod once more;
More than that, however, is that the Standard Credit serves as a fundamental vessel for proper Intergalactic trade. While many here have proposed isolation and punishment of the galaxy as a form of retribution and justice for the improper balance of Confederate trade, and political moves - I would offer an alternative for those willing to listen.”
A few more presses of the buttons and the various Viceroys would get a quick introduction to a very moderate, three hundred paged document on Confederate trade reformations.
I’ve had one of our assets, Cybele, write this up before we came. In it, there will be many odd topics such as Trade Surplus, individual Planet GDP’s, hundred-year trends on trade, development, cost of living…”, he said as he began to ramble, but quickly cut himself short as he changed the subject.
Everything the Confederacy will need to know about its own economy. I’ve even added the most probable solutions and trends if the Confederacy follows through with this protectionism. Formally, I would like everyone to note the downward trend of it…”, he offered somewhat quietly in the holomic as he glanced about, only to turn back.
- But, I would also like to note that there is an alternative. With the Banking Clan’s guidance, and parallel participation of the Ministry of Commerce, I believe we can increase the efficiency of the Confederate’s economies to a per-planet basis, and help with negotiations - force or otherwise - about making proper trade rules in regards to what you are hoping to find. While I have no doubt the Confederacy could transition itself to produce everything it needs, it would be fundamentally crippling itself by comparison to the Sith Empire, or Concordia.”, he said as he cleared his throat once more.
A simple way to understand it is to think about what a single person can be good at. They could produce enough food for themselves, and they could make a droid from scratch - but how much food would it cost them to produce that droid themselves? How much would it cost them by comparison? The answer is plenty more. Were they good at making food, and not at the various industries it takes to make a droid, then they would see that droids usual cost of a few thousand - something they could buy in a single harvest, turned into many million credits.”
He waited for a moment, as the few interested glanced over the documents he had sent.
What I mean to say is this - allow the Confederacy to export what its good at, even the best at, and import things others are good at. Droids are a foundation of the Confederate economy, and with the IGBC’s help - I believe we can truly make the Confederacy stand out in terms of its production, it’s economy, and its wealth per capita.”
With that, Dorian slowly stood himself up, straightened his tie, and buttoned the bottom button of the overcoat he wore; minor details in the fanciful nature of luxury and presentation.
I would like to thank the Confederacy for hearing out our proposition, and furthermore to the Vicelord and his Exarchs for inviting us to be present. We will be on the planet for the next for days to conduct meetings and presentations for those willing to learn about economics, and the impact these choices can have on both your macro-economy, and the relatively micro-economy of your planets. Thank you, everyone, once again.”
As Dorian smiled, and glanced about, he made momentary eye contact with Srina - who seemed to give him more of a dirty look than anything. He knew why, and it brought a slight frown to his face as he moved to sit once more. The pod they sat in slowly backtracked from the center of the room to its place among the many, and Maliphant glanced to Adekos as it finally locked itself back into place.
Better?”, he said with a grimace.

Bastille said nothing as he watched the proceedings unfold. He had been pleasantly surprised to see the Viceroys from Fondor and Falleen support the bill, but soon the meddlesome Banking representative had regained the floor once more, denouncing the notion and once again touting his proposal. The Viceroy from Thyferra talked of waiting and adding more ponderous time to the debate, and by the time the Vicelord had spoken, Bastille had lost all of his momentum. If he continued to fight now for the bill at this moment, Bastille knew he risked killing it altogether. He was not an idealist; he was an opportunist, and now he would let the debate over the InterGalactic Banking Clan play out before returning to Ra'Katha to get real work done.

The man continued to watch the proceedings played out. Exarch Talon stepped up once more, denouncing Bastille's proposal as a further complication of trade, not only intergalactically but within the Confederacy itself. If the Exarch had actually read the bill, Bastille privately mused, then perhaps she would've known that it had no effect within domestic trade; but then again, Bastille thought, it seemed as if the Office of the Vicelord and his minions were more intent on writing their own legislation rather than here the voices of others. The Thyferran Vycery's words of patience and plea for more time to discuss the matters contrasted starkly to the Executive Order that the Vicelord had issued with no forewarning, one that had completely changed the foreign policy of the Confederacy without any regard for the member planets within.

It was almost as if the Viceroyalty were just a front, an emblem of democracy that in truth carried no real weight. But then again, Bastille had suspected it ever since the inception of the Inquisition -- the Viceroys were nothing more than bystanders in Confederacy law, while the Vicelord and Exarchs controlled the true power. As these thoughts paced through Bastille's mind, he spoke not a word and his face remained a mask of stone. If anyone could sense his displeasure, then perhaps they could sense it through his silence. If the other Viceroys were content with letting trade wilt and die on their worlds, that would be their problem.

As for Bastille, he would ensure that Ra'Katha survived the upcoming storm, whether he had the support of Exarchs or not.

SILENT

Quietly, Raven appraised each pod with quiet reserved thinking. Although even as she sat there quietly listening, the woman continued to think about her own plans and what she would like to do with Felacat. These would then expand over to how the Executive Order and Mandate would affect them. Indifference was the indication that she gave in the way of emotion, even though within her mind the wheels were turning over every word spoken. Each one was dissected and appraised, as she began to wonder about the underlying plots under everyone’s words. There were two sides to the story presented before them and quietly she leaned back into her seat, only to cross her right leg over her left. Her right arm rose, of which to rest her elbow upon the arm rest, while her palm lifted, faced upwards so then her chin could settle upon it once more.

In her opinion, the Viceroyalty were mostly here at the capacity that they were the ‘body’ of the Confederacy. While the head argued with the tail. The tail was no less important as the head, as the tail kept things in balance. In other words, the tail was the bank and the banks weighed and watched the economic values of trades and goods. It was something that kept many afloat, but in this instance she didn’t seem to think that the proposed Galactic Standard Credit would matter. What the Vicelord was asking of them, was simply to provide proof that it was indeed prioritizing the Confederacy First and it was a fair ask. Overall, Raven didn’t have a problem with the proposed legislation, in fact, it seemed well thought out. The only problem that the tail had with the head, was that it wasn’t the way that the tail wanted to go. In fact, the tail seemed to want to grow a head of its own.

Brown eyes lingered upon Exarch Talon as she spoke her piece, indeed she seemed to be on the same page as the IGBC. Her gaze shifted between Dorian and Exarch Talon for a brief moment before she focused upon Dorian once more. Signed agreements were not proof that Galactic Standard Credit was anything but a sure fire thing. In fact, it was almost like throwing the dice. Sure, she may not be a banker, but she knew chance when she saw it. Chance was taking a gamble upon something that was based upon figures that were a possible outcome. Early adoption didn’t guarantee anything, legitimacy or not. A son, whether he was legitimate or not, didn’t have a full guarantee of taking over the father’s position in the future.

While the three hundred page document was sent to her, she didn’t even bother looking at it upon her datapad. In fact, she left it sitting right in front of her as she listened and appraised as to what was said by Dorian himself. Three hundred pages were surely a guise to drown anyone that didn’t know anything about banking, accounts and everything else under irrelevant data, while also displaying the relevant data but surrounded it by that very irrelevant background noise. In fact, three hundred seemed like a rather… Obscene number. Words like probable solutions, trends, personal beliefs; did not make her want to throw her hat into that particular ring either. It wasn’t anything that was based upon actual evidence of something that had been done before. However, She could see that it had some merit.

What did catch her interest, was the shared look between Dorian and Exarch Talon. A rather fascinating detail indeed, she thought to herself as her gaze shifted to Bastille if only for a moment before looking towards the Vicelord. With everything that had been said and done, the sudden changes were strange to say in the least and she wanted to see the reasoning, the whys and not just what was clearly displayed before them. There had to be some ultimate goal here; some future unseen agenda. Otherwise if what the bankers were talking about was truly inevitable, then would the Confederacy First be nothing more than to strangle and kill the very faction they represented?
