Confederate Navy ranks

The Navy of the Confederacy is the space arm of the Confederate military, keeping Imperial space safe from pirates and other space-borne threats. Due to the droid-based nature of the Confederate military, player characters, whether organic or droid, start out at a higher IC rank than in factions using organic troops. At the core is a three-tier rank system in which the power of a player is capped to the highest OOC rank they hold.

The base of this board-wide system is as follows, for Non-Force Users and their Force-User equivalents:
Trainee | Apprentice
Adept | Knight
Elite | Master

Upon joining the Confederate military, characters start as one of the Trainee ranks of their choice. Rank transfers of existing characters with prior experience at a higher level are permitted if their service records warrant promotions. Promotion to Adept or Elite grants a character access to any ranks of their choice listed under “Adept” or “Elite” respectively.

Characters who hold rank within the Confederate Navy can be promoted by adhering to the following rules:

Promotion from Trainee to Adept: Another Adept/Knight or Elite/Master character must vouch for the character’s promotion to Adept.
Promotion to Elite: The Adept must await the vouching of a Elite/Master rank and have a seconded vote from another within the Elite/Master ranks. The Faction Admins may overturn a vote to either negate or approve the candidate’s position if they believe it a necessity.

A character may not be demoted from Elite to Adept or from Adept to Trainee.
