Confession

The Reaper of Won Shasot
Location: Imahalyan

It had been quite a while since Dax had last step foot on the planet. At least a year. Most likely more than that. And yet it remained the same. People remained happy and content. A world at peace. Imahalyan appeared to be an aberration in an all too tumultuous galaxy.

The Knight approached the door the same way he had the year or two before. With a tentative knock. Back then the woman had imparted some knowledge of the Force to the young man, still a Padawan. Now he had the feeling she'd impart some more wisdom...seen through Jedi eyes...

If such a thing did happen...well...she couldn't understand. Not really. His fight was than just to defeat those who hurt others at any cost. His fight was one within him. One only those like he would ever understand.

She was sitting rubbing her head, she was exhausted mentally, she had grooled over her thoughts mediated and trained to try and clear her thoughts

A knock came, she felt who it was and approvhed the door, she opened it as she looked down to him, she gave a nod and moved outside as she led him to the table

I sense some internal turmoil within you

She said as she sat down, her Sabers on her hips

Is that why you came to me Dax? Is it do the the events that happened at myrk?

"What do you think Raxis?" Dax said in response. "You'd come ask me about it eventually. Figured I'd save you the fuel." Dax stood by the table. The same place he'd first learned anything from the Jedi Master. He had learned much since then.

"Myrkr was done. I did what I felt I had to. Those thugs had it coming anyways."

* she gave a nod as she bowed her head and motioned to the chair across from her, she rather then on a equal level, then either of them standing*

What you did on myrkr was justified, that is not my problem, my problem is you taking souls trying to reach peace in the force.

She said stern as she could

I had told you of balance did I not? That is what a rogue force user does...we Balance the good and the evil out

She said and took a breath in

What you did steppes off that middle ground and enters into dangerous territory

Dax didn't sit. Instead he started laughing. "'Trying to reach peace in the Force?' I wish it was as simple as that Raxis." he said. That would have been easier than what he was fighting now. "This is not about me. It's about what's inside me. How much do you know about Force Drain?" he asked.

The technique was pure darkness. A chance encounter had been the only reason Dax had experienced it. He wished he never had.

A scoff left Dax's lips, "Well that's a very narrow way of looking at it...but not entirely wrong I guess." he said, crossing his arms, "It's not restricted to life. Force energy, life energy, doesn't matter, one can drain the victim of it. And if they somehow survive...well that's how they learn the technique, with all the wonderful side effects." The man said the last bit sarcastically...wonderful was far from the truth. "You know who Darth Nihilus was?"

The Reaper of Won Shasot
"He was a Dark Lord of the Sith. A Wound in the Force. He was known for draining the energy of his victims. Eventually his hunger for the energy eroded his body. To survive he imbued his spirit into his armor. He is perhaps one, if not the most formidable user of the Drain to ever exist." Dax explained. "You can't contain the hunger Raxis. As much as he tried in the beginning, it over took him."

The man had notice Raxis slowly moving her hands to her sabers. He dropped his arms to his sides. Within himself he willed the woman to not carry out whatever act she was considering. But he continued speaking. If she did try to kill him she may as well know everything first. "I can't stop it Stardust. I'm trying. I'm looking for anything to suppress it. I just don't know if I can."

[member="Stardust Raxis"]

she listbed as she nodded, it made some sense now, so a few things she had heard was true about this man

She then looked to him with sad eyes, her hands moved away from her Sabers as she gave a nod* i understand...you need some help...i...may have a way...a way that'll help you...I can't promise you'll like it...but I'll do it with you...just...just to show you I'll go through the pain of helping you

"The pain of helping me? Wow thanks, Raxis." the man said humorously. "Alright well shoot...what are you going to do?" Dax asked. He already knew there was no way to get rid of the...affliction. He'd seen people try. It hadn't worked. What could she possibly think would work?

She stood as she put a hand on his shoulder* I've seen hell I know he'll physically and mentally...and I've had only one successful apprentice...and ain't about to lose another to the dark side * she said and smiled * You know those force negating lizards? Maybe we can cut you off of that need by cutting you from the force...and it's gonna be hell...I won't lie it'll make you sick..

"The ysalamiri? Like from Myrkr? That's only temporary...and I have to be around them. The moment I step out of their bubble it all comes back." Dax understood what the woman was suggesting. But to be cut off from the Force entirely? That'd be the same as losing a limb...or multiple limbs...and it'd only be temporary...

"I'm not seeing how that'll help." Dax hoped the woman knew something he didn't.

[member="Stardust Raxis"]

* she sighed and paced around thinking, she didn't take account for the it being temporary...had to be something...force light? No to dangerous

I'm thinking I'm tbinking...damn....I mean we could do that...may be out only option that wont..well hurt you permanently

"Do what..." Dax muttered, watching [member="Stardust Raxis"] pace back and forth. Whatever the Twi'lek was thinking, he wasn't sure he liked it. So far the only time he'd ever seen any one "solve" the problem was when they punched a hole through hyperspace and ended up outside of the galaxy, then committing suicide...and then Dax wound up with the "gift". Yeah...not re enacting that one... he thought.

She stopped and sighed as she shook her head to herself

Let's try the lizards first, do it like with someone who's on rehab from spice, bring them slowly and slowly off of it...stupid idea but it's all I have

Dax took a deep breath and let it out. A small smile formed on his lips. "Sorry Raxis. That ain't gonna work...it'll just get worse, like it did on Myrkr." A sad look filled his eyes. They were the eyes of a man who knew he'd cause a lot of pain, and that he couldn't stop it. "The best I can do is hold it down for as long I can." He sat down now, leaning back into the chair, letting his head hang back, eyes closed. One might've thought he was dead were it not for the gentle rise and fall of his chest. "If I ever get to the point where I'm a threat..." he didn't finish the sentence. She'd do what she'd have to.

[member="Stardust Raxis"]

*she sughed as she looked out irritated, she wanted to helo...but...what could she do to help she had no real way of helping his at all...unless....no that was a stupid idea

How bad are these urges Dax

She said ignoring his last sentence

"Growing stronger everyday." he responded eyes still closed.

The only thing he saw now was the sunlight on his eyelids, filling his vision with the odd red orange tinge one could only see at those moments. His ears filled with the sounds around him. He could feel the warmth of the sun on his face. There was beauty in simple moments. That was why Dax tried so hard to protect those around him, especially from himself. So they'd experience more of these than he.
